Had a fabulous little meal at this restaurant. It was fantastic! The salad was fresh, the spaghetti perfectly cooked, the meatballs were huge and flavorful, the sauce was delicious and the rolls ... the rolls! ... we're superb. I wish we lived closer. I would eat here often! Don't let the unassuming atmosphere fool you. You're not here foe the decor, you're here for the delicious food!

My daughter and I decided to try Mama Mia’s in Baraboo and made the drive from the Dells. We carried out a pizza and really enjoyed it. While waiting I saw several pasta dishes from people dining in. They looked delicious and we will head there to dine in and try them soon. We got to talking with Ben, a second generation owner. He told us his sauces are homemade. Ben was very friendly and you could tell he took great pride in his business. His family was working alongside him.
I would highly recommend trying Mama Mia’s.

We just love this place. Very very tasty and affordable. The sweet family are Italian and so helpful and friendly. We go as often as we can when we are in the area. Our favorites are the pizzas; which are chewy and cheesy and generous in size, those amazing garlic knots and any of the pasta dishes. Love it .

I've lived on this green earth for 20 years, and for all of it I've loved pizza and have eaten many different kinds, but out of all the hundreds I've had Mama Mia's has got the best pizza I've ever had. I literally can't recommend it more, it's cheese is fantastic, the sauce is to die for, the crust is amazing, and the portions are HUGE. The staff were great and the waiting time for food was so little for what you get.

I was shopping at the square in Baraboo last Saturday with my kid, when we became very hungry.

We popped in for lunch at Mama Mia without any knowledge of the restaurant. It was about 11:30 am and the dining room was nearly empty, which gave me pause - but the place was very clean and smelled amazing, so we stayed.

There was a pleasant young man who seated us and took our order - while an older employee milled about and chatted with the other customers. I think the "I'm not interested in small talk" vibes I exude were picked up on. Everyone is different, and I understand the intent was positive. I'm cool with servers asking if they can get me anything and if everything is tasting alright, but visiting with strangers isn't for me. Still, not a deal breaker.

Mama Mia's menu has some standard Italian options, but I can't speak to their quality. The pizza is solid A tier, so I might expect the same from their pasta.

There's nothing overly fancy about Mama Mia, and that's perfectly fine. We ordered the smallest size sausage pizza and it was big enough that we took half home. The price, quality and flavor were such that I will definitely be back.

Everything was amazing! I came here for pizza after camping at Devil’s Lake for a week. We ordered two pizzas for three people, and the price was reasonable. A few months later, in October, I came back and had just as pleasant an experience. The staff is friendly, witty, and chatty. The place is small and quiet, and the food is high quality overall. Ordered take out from here last night & I felt compelled to write a review! The service was pretty quick! The atmosphere isn't a fancy place, it's definitely like a little hole in the wall mom & pop pizzaria but cozy! We didn't eat there but the place was full of people! The food... wow. SOOO GOOD!! the portions were large! I ordered the Chicken Parm and it was 2 big pieces of chicken with the sauce and noodles, also came with the BEST sourdough dough garlic knot and it was HUGE, also came with a small side salad which was also Wow! Had tomatoes, onions, olives & greens. It was all WONDERFUL I couldn't eat it all! We also ordered the appetizer of the Fried Mushrooms - WOW AGAIN!! they were Whole and light and JUST SOOOO GOOD!! (They did forget our marinara unfortunately but it's ok I had some at home 👍😆). We also ordered the Meatball Parm Sub, it came with a Huge side of fries and hubby said the Sub was GREAT! it was Large and he was only able to eat 75% of it! Overall THIS PLACE IS A MUST!! The ONLY small complaint is their ranch. They gave us a store brand ranch in the little cup that you peel off the foil. That was disappointing- it would be BEST if Mama Mia's made their own ranch because the ranch they give you is HORRID. It doesn't "Go" well with all the WONDERFUL food they serve. That's the only complaint.

I would love to talk about their food here because it's actually pretty good, but ...
I went to pick up a carry-out pizza and when I went into the restaurant I was OVERWHELMED with the smell of VERY strong cologne. There were no other customers in the restaurant and the owners/family was in the kitchen. The scent even overpowered any smell of food, and while waiting for the pizza I had to step outside.
The source of the cologne was confirmed as the owner brought the pizza up to the front counter.
As a former restaurant manager I learned how important atmosphere can be for a dining experience.

We were camping at Devil's Lake and wanted a pizza on a Friday eve. A quick google search and we picked out Mama Mia's basically out of 'thin air'. When I walked in the door, I saw Ben behind the counter and went up and asked him "Are your pizza's any good?", to which he responded very confidently "They are the best in town Man!". And, I have to say my wife and I as well as my brother and his wife would agree with that statement! Now we've not had any other pizza in town, but, I've had a lot of pizza in my 63 years and I can tell you with no hesitation their pizza was one of the best I've ever had, hands down! We were greeted by the owner/chef immediately. She was friendly and set the tone for the whole meal. Throughout the meal she greeted every customer that came in, some by name. I chose the Italian sausage and peppers sandwich and my husband got the manicotti. We also ordered cheesy bread. His came with a salad. The salad and two round, warm hunks of bread with garlic and cheese came out. I assumed this was the cheese bread and took my roll. When I opened it, the smell took me right back to my Grandma's kitchen on bread baking day. I would have been satisfied with that, but that was "just" the garlic knots they make with their leftover homemade pizza dough! I don't My know how, but it only got better. My sandwich was so delicious and plenty of food! The real cheese bread served with their marina was an ooey gooey mess of delicious! We will be back in the fall and cannot wait to try their pizza.

Had a BFF girls weekend away from our families in Baraboo and stopped in for dinner at Mama Mia on Saturday afternoon. WOW! We had THE BEST breaded mushrooms & pizza there that we have had in a LONG time! The breaded mushrooms were perfect-breading was not greasy, it was crunchy, seasoned just right and the mushrooms were large, succulent and delicious! The pizza was excellent-crust thin and crispy, NOT greasy or soggy and not too thin either, just right. The toppings were fresh and plentiful: sausage, mushrooms and onions. The cheese, oh the mozzarella cheese, there was plenty of it and it was to die for! The entire meal was to die for! Our eyes bigger than our stomachs we had to take half the pizza back to the hotel fridge, but it was just as delicious later as a late night feast while watching movies-SO GOOD! We will definitely be back for more next time we are in town!!!

Not sure what all the good reviews were. We got there 5 of us. Sat at a shotty small booth with a chair at the end. I plan my vacations around 4.5star or better for restaurant reviews. A couple I'm guessing we're regulars there sat about 4mns after us. They got their drink order taken and food taken before we even got our drink order. Cheese bread was good. Mozzarella sticks were ok. The rest of the food was not good. I didn't even finish my meal. Highly disappointed. Meatball sandwich was dry. My chicken was like a frozen chicken breast. Food was not seasoned well. During dinner the guy behind us kept pushing on the booth, we were already irritated with the food being super mediocre. We were ready to GO!! While waiting on the son to retrieve our bill, he sat at a back table we couldn't figure out what was taking so long, mind you there were only 4 tables in there at the time. So when the bill finally came, it was hand-written with each item, yet only a total!! Didn't get a receipt they didn't have any!! I would never recommend this restaurant.

We ordered stromboli for takeout due to having a newborn at home. The stromboli was huge for the price and delicious! I don't know why we haven't gone there sooner but we'll be going back for sure! ☺️

This truly authentic Italian dinner is a real gem to stop by if your in the area. Its family owned and opperated so if your thinking about going to a franchise chain then PLEASE just get a quote from that chain on what you would have ate there just to be assured your order came back wrong, then fallow your GPS to get to Mama Mia's and ask what they can get prepaired for you for less than you were going to pay the big wigs for messing up your order once again. This was my first time there and I ordered what I did which made me pretty sure I want to try everything on the menue. Dont just take my word for it, try the place out for yourself. I really doubt you wont agree with me that it sure beats any of the fast food joints anywhere in the world.
