We were told that we had a 30 minute wait, so we went to the bar for a drink. We sat down and watched 3 other groups of people sit down after us. There were 2 bartenders. We kept waiting to be served, but the other 3 groups got served before us. Were we invisible? Not sure, so after about 15 -20 minutes, we got up and left. Monical's was wonderful!

The prime rib was perfect, service was great, the owner is a great guy, checking the customers to make sure everything is good. We called ahead for reservations, as soon as we walked in they had a table waiting for us. They did a nice job brightening the place up.

The back of the house did a good job. Pricey. Steaks come with one potato or vegetable. Extra charge for several options. Our server was horrible. We were sat immediately, arrived at 5pm, didn’t see our server for the first 30 minutes. She had only two other tables. She took our drink orders, then our dinner orders. After sitting for an hour, we still didn’t have our soup or salad. Our steaks & prime rib were good, but only came with a potato side, no vegetable. When we left we noticed they weren’t seating everyone even tho there were open tables. Maybe hoping people spend money at the bar? Or maybe because the wait staff can’t handle it? Bottom line, way overpriced for the service.

If I could, I'd give 0 stars. We waited an hour for salads, and finally had to ask for them. We then waited 2 and a 1/2 hours for the rest of our food. The excuse was that the chicken was burned for the chicken Alfredo one of us ordering. When we finally got our food, they brought fettuccine Alfredo with no chicken, and our steaks were raw. Way over-priced, and absolutely horrible service. Don't waste your money.

Absolutely will not ever go here again. Arrived at 5:30, told it was a 30 min wait time. We went to the bar to wait and at 6:20 I finally went over to ask, how much longer? I was told, we were next. Never once were we acknowledged. At 6:45 we were still waiting. Bartender asked if we had any idea when our table would be ready and I told her, No. At this point, we paid for our drinks and decided to leave. The bartender told the money and said, thanks, have a great night. She knew we were leaving. Never apologized for anything. A kind word, hey guys, sorry about that long wait. This place is off to a bad start.

I hate to be that guy, but the food was terrible. In all honesty it was the worst food I've paid for in a really long time, possibly ever. The service was good, the bartender and waitress were nice enough, but this place does not serve restaurant quality food. Mussels we're terrible, salad was simple, the Italian entrees were anything but authentic Italian food. Chicken Alfredo should not come with a deep fried frozen chicken breast this is supposed to be an "Italian" restaurant. Again, hate to criticize, but save your money and head to the next restaurant. You will be disappointed here.....

This place was a back up choice on the night we tried it. That being said, it was worth the trip. In all honesty this should be a three and a half star review, but Google doesn't allow half stars. The interior is very appealing, and has an Italian feel mixed with your typical lakeside supper club atmosphere. Friendly service and a beautiful view of the lake made the night very pleasant.

The food was very good. This restaurant specializes in quality Italian food. I ordered the Sicilian Tender Loin, and my wife had the Pepper Steak. We were both very pleased with the taste,quality,and price of our meals (around $22 average). However, the portions we're a bit small for my taste, which is where they lost the first star in this review. The other half a star was lost not due to the restaurant themselves, but the other patrons. The room quickly became crowded with people who spoke as though they were regulars, they were quite loud, intrusive, and some were quite lewd. It would not have been an issue, but for some reason, although the dining room was quite large, they seated us all very close to each other. Still, I cannot hold the restaurant wholly responsible for unruly patrons.

In the end,if the serving sizes would have been more appropriate, this would be a solid 4-4 1/2 star experience. As it is, the review stands.

Hadn’t been to Mamas in about 2 years. 4 of us went in last week, 2 ordered pizza, one ordered linguine with clam sauce, and one order of chicken parmigiana. The pizza crust was absolutely doughy and not done in the middle... the crust tasted like it was made out of crescent rolls, soggy and awful. Toppings were ok, left the crust and ate the topping. The chicken was disgusting, I would bet the farm the chicken breast was just microwaved to heat it up...very very tough! Some spaghetti sauce thrown on with shredded mozzarella melted on top. Linguine was just okay, canned clams and butter, garlic. The interior carpet on the floor is filthy! Never will we ever go back.

Amazing dinning experience. If you see a negative rating on this place, I call fake news. Spotless, window lake view from every table, incredible Italian cuisine and great cheerful service.

Started with a perfect whiskey Old Fasion, wine (wife), Arnold Palmer (teenage daughters). Relish tray and bread tray already on the table, in comes our appetizer, breushetta; great. Followed by crisp salad for 4 of us, and chicken noodle soup for one. All very good.

5 different meals chosen. My lasagna was bowl baked. The waiter, Bobby, dished the first of 4 servings onto my plate...freaken amazing; like my friend's Sicilian Grandmother made. Wife's shrimp ravioli was reportedly perfect. She is a shrimp lover and strong sceptic, and left 1 of 6 to take home. Daughter's had fettucini alfredo, shrimp scampi, and spaghetti with meat balls. All said they have a new favorite restaurant (we live 3 hours away). We all agreed we would make the trip just to eat here again.

We all got take home boxes so we could try deserts. Two split tiramisu, which the waiter cut in half for this reason. 2 others shared raspberry gelato truffle; also portioned by staff. Tiramisu was reportedly outstanding. The raspberry truffle was like a box of candy with the raspberry gelato surprise inside...wow...just wow.

The pace at which each portion of the meal came out was perfect. We never felt rushed, and everyone was wonderful towards us. Again, I can't imagine anybody having a negative review of this place, unless they were related to the competition, trying to throw customers off. This was an outstanding experience which you would expect in a much bigger environment, population wise. We were there on Sunday evening. By 5:40 the parking lot was already quite full. Many tables were reserved already, but we were able to get seated rather quickly. Thank you for an outstanding dining experience. Great way to cap off a week in the Great North.

Expected a nice dinner. The marinara sauce was extremely vinegary, the spaghetti out of a box and the meat chewy with breading that was overcooked. The meal was way overpriced, time for change.

Will not go back before the kitchen staff and "chef" is changed.

When we arrived, we were seated promptly. My whiskey sour was one of the best I ever had. My husband and I enjoyed the complimentary shareable relish tray and bread basket. From there, the evening went downhill.

We waited 25 minutes for our soup after we finished the relish tray. When the soup arrived, my husband's cup was full--- mine was just barely 2/3 full. In addition, my soup looked as if it had been thrown in the general direction of the cup....cream of potato drips covered half the rim of the cup.

When our entrees arrived, the server switched our meals. I had selected fries to accompany my Sicilian veal. THAT was a mistake. They arrived lukewarm and had been so overfried that they were hard all the way through. I tried to spear with my fork and the disintegrated into dust from the pressure of the tines.

Had the parmesaned haddock with shrimp scampi special, parmesan chicken and chicken Alfredo. Food was marginal, 6 shrimp and 2 small pieces of fish were swimming in a plate of butter. Alfredo was bland. Service was ok although once we got our food we didn't see the waitress again until she brought our bill. I think we'll eat somewhere else next time.

Boyfriend and I sat down, beautiful view and friendly people. We were seated and right away we look at the menu, and everything is 15+ dollars. And that's normally okay, cept I looked at my plate that was already on the table and it had cooked cheese on it. My boyfriends plate had grease smudged. Old man Bob the bartender, is a riot! Especially if you like Don Rickles type of dry humor.
And back to the food. I highly recommend the pan fried scillian veal & garlic butter spaghetti.
The view is pure nature at your fingertips.
And the waitresses are just fine
