Wonderful place to eat! I was in town for a company matter and went here for dinner one night. I had the patio all to myself and the atmosphere was great. Lovely music with a nice view of the pond out back. My server Sergio was the most polite courteous and prompt server I have had in years! He even went out of his way to find me an ashtray so I could enjoy a cigarette on the patio. The food was spectacular as well the general Tso's chicken was the best I'd had in awhile beats the heck out of panda express. Definitely coming back again!

I’m a bit stunned, but mostly insulted.
New to Wausau & have heard wonderful things. Today, I stopped in and placed a take-out order. I had the Kung Pao Shrimp and ordered the Pork Lo Mein for my husband. My shrimp was wonderful. However, my husband asked if I ordered Vegetable Lo Mein. We looked through it and there a total of 4 small strips of pork in the entire entree. I called to tell them about it. I was very pleasant, respectful and professional. The gentleman I spoke to had a brief conversation with the kitchen. He then told me that the order actually was made with Extra Pork.
I respectfully disagreed.
Then, he again told me that I was incorrect, the dish had extra pork.
Essentially, he was calling me out as a liar. I couldn’t believe it.
We’ll never go there again. :/

The service was outstanding. The atmosphere is about on par for places like this. BAhhh but then you have the food......Is somebody in the kitchen allergic to flavor? From the very bland meat to the overly old oil it was deep fried in the only thing on the plate that had the flavor it was supposed to was the sauce which everything was drenched in. Sweet and sour pork should be a soft flavorful pork what I got was very hard very dry and lacked any flavor. The veg was underdone and had an undertone of dirt as it's flavor. The tea which you charge does twice for for a single pot of tea was the highlight of the meal and the appetizer of single spring roll per person was the best part kudos. But seriously who in your kitchen is allergic to flavor?

Stopped by for lunch today. First time there for all of us in our party. Our food was fantastic!! Thoroughly surprised us on how good it was. We all ordered something different as well. Service was great. Our waiter was very cheerful, quick, and attentive. He allowed us to take whatever time we needed while not leaving us waiting. Food came out with great timing. Never felt rushed. One of the gals even ordered some food to bring home when we were done and they made sure to make the food closer to when we were leaving so it wouldn't be cold. The place was very clean and spacious. We dined outside on the patio overlooking the river. Nice covered and screened patio. Everything was great end to end. We will definitely be back!

This was one of our favorite restaurants to go to for family dinners out, but no more. The new menu doesn't have many of our favorites. The food we did order was bland and nothing special. Service was uneven, all but one of our entrees was served close to the same time, but the last took another 10 to 15 minutes. The view of the river is still nice and the staff was friendly, but the meal was very disappointing.

Updated review: Returned and found that the restaurant was under new management. I didn't expect much going into an empty restaurant that had only been open a month under the current owners, but was very pleasantly surprised.

Menu much more limited than previously, but the food was excellent. The hot and sour soup had great broth, with flavorful mushrooms and bamboo. (I didn't care for the addition of pea and carrot mix, though.)

We ordered pork with fragrant sauce, szechuan chicken (not on the menu, but they offered to sub for the shrimp), and Kung Pao shrimp as entrées. All were excellent, with tender meat and well cooked veggies.

The drinks were also very good. You don't expect to get a margarita or an old fashioned with your Chinese, but you can do that here!

Sergio and Elena were very friendly and the Christmas decor inside is cute. We'll definitely be coming back, especially in the summer to enjoy the patio and river view.

we just moved from Phoenix to Wausau and we were nervous to find food as good as where we’re from. This restaurant blew us away! Best food I’ve ever had. My mother and I did take out for two. It seems kind of pricey at $57 for two people.

We ordered soup as an appetizer but it was Bland and tasteless so I do not recommend their soups
The entrees we enjoyed were Mandarin pork and fragrant shrimp and were very good. The house fried rice is outstanding.

The egg rolls are not your average egg rolls but are tiny spring rolls.

Handicap parking but not handicapped access. Food took an additional 15 minutes from the time promised.

Interior and exterior is worn and tired the restaurant needs a makeover. Polite friendly service.

Had the lunch buffet. The price was lower than I expected. The selection was limited, but the Sausage in Black Bean Sauce was an interesting little international dish that appealed to me greatly as a kid who grew up on kielbasa with a Polish grandma, yet didn't let the sausage overpower the sauce, which is a feat in itself given kielbasa's sharp flavor, and the sauce was modest in salt and instead rich in umami and felt much fuller than its texture would indicate because of it. The egg drop soup is light with a creamy texture, but incredibly flavorful, and white rather than the thick yellow kind like most serve in the area, with a focus on wispy egg whites that were plentiful enough the bottom of the cup was hidden where the yellow kind has more diffuse pennants of it. The sauces are pleasantly thick without being heavy and the veggies are cooked to perfection. The crab rangoons have an interesting hint of spice to them and were unlike any I've had before. The atmosphere is calm and everything is very clean and business-like, but the walls are filled with homey touches like house-style windows, a tasteful number of paintings, and a couple wooden fans. Thoughtful touches abounded, like having the soup cups already sitting on saucers stacked at the soup station, more chopped green onions and dried noodles to add to it than I've seen on offer anywhere else, and full bowls of sauces held in a tasteful tree-style holder. They even had the Chinese ladle spoons rather than making you use a normal one like other buffets in the area. The food was hot and fresh even though it was after the lunch rush. The staff talked to the other patrons like they knew them, even a family who only seemed to have been there once or twice before. It's overall a pleasant experience with pleasant food, all seasoned with a sprinkling of enticing points of interest. What makes it special is subtle and that in itself is intriguing.

Terrible. We have been going here for years. I'd like to first state that nothing at the restaurant tastes like McDonald's nuggets, and if elderly people don't like spicy food, they shouldn't order it. The menu has always been clearly marked.
We have always loved their food, which is why we've gone for years. Yesterday, however, we ordered take-out, and we will NOT return.
Arrived around 4 pm. As someone else stated, the place is outdated. The walls are stark. The place is musty. The parking lot is a maize. And they force handicapped to enter from the furthest end of the building.
We ordered beef with pea pods, sweet & sour chicken, and had a coupon for free egg rolls.
The egg rolls were tiny spring rolls. The beef with pea pods was okay, but not the superior quality we are used to. The sweet & sour chicken was terrible. Few pieces of chicken, hardly any vegetables, and a bucket of sauce that's like that nasty orange stuff that people drown their food in at a Chinese buffet. There were two raw green pepper pieces, the size of a fingernail. Two pineapple pieces the same size. No cherries, no anything else. Barely enough rice for two.
Service has always been outstanding, except when they get confused on who entered first and who should be served first. The pot stickers are worth the wait. But we were charged over $26 for two. Definitely not worth it. Yes, there is a view of the Dudley Tower. So? How many times can you look at same tired, old building? The river is nice when the water is flowing. But I think those who enjoy this place so much are the type of people who go out to drink their dinner, and the food is incidental. If we want mediocre Chinese food, we'll head to the buffet, which is about $10 less. In the meantime, we are headed elsewhere. Very disappointing.

Ive never made a review before but This is what bad dreams are made of. Ive have never had it where I didnt eat what I ordered til I ate this food. Ordered something with shrimp and it just smelled terrible. But i went for and tried it anyways because I always put forth the old college try(considering I didnt go to college). Couldnt stomach it. Tried some seasame chicken that someone else ordered. It literally tasted like a mcdonalds chicken nugget but with less flavor. I am not sure how they sucked the flavor out, whether it be some kind of evil machine created by evil monsters, I dont know. Now trying their food I have a stomach ache from hell. Only Jesus can save me now. Do not recommend!
