I don't understand why they would charge me for something that should already be included in the dish. The place is nice; it's nice, clean, and pleasant. Worst Mexican food we as a family ever tasted! The taco soup was a watered down tomato soup, chips and Salsa no flavor whatsoever , ordered the guacamole dip and it was literally a large spoon size, again no flavor!
We ordered 6 different meals and to our surprise not a single meal had ANY Mexican FLAVOR everything was bland and watered down even our drinks ! Our waitress was unfriendly and pushy on sales!! Overall a horrible experience. We will not return!

I got the steak burrito bowl while passing through. It was pretty good, a much different style from my local. Their menu is a little more seafood forward than I expected when I walked in. The portion for the bowl could have been a little more generous but it was well made and filled me up without putting me into a food coma. I would eat here again were I in town.

One of the worst Mexican food places i have been to in years. Save your money and just go to Taco bell. At least they don't charge you $2.00 for a squirt of hot sauce.. Waitress was nice but a bet uninformed. And what Mexican restaurant does not have sauce's sitting on the table to use? Me and my wife tried this place on a whim. We ordered drinks and our food. We got our drinks and chips. Waited a hour to have our water tells us our food will be out in a few minutes. Then disappears for another 30 minutes to come tell us our food was taken to another table. Then had the kitchen make our food witch we asked to be put in to go containers. Then we get the bill witch was full price nothing for the mess up. I've never been to a restaurant where a manager didn't walk the for and check on guest. Not worth the price for the service you get. This restaurant was next to my hotel on a business trip. And boy am I glad it was. The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. From the tasty margarita to the best salsa I've ever had to my shrimp tacos it didn't disappoint! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was there were only 2 pieces of shrimp per taco and alot of cabbage filler.

We started with salsa and the salsa tasted like Marinara sauce. It tasted like it belonged on a pizza. We did ask our server to take the salsa back because it tasted horrible. The queso tasted just like melted American cheese. No spice no nothing Ordered strawberry tea, the tea was not sweet and they just put mashed strawberries at the bottom.. Our food we ordered was terrible. My chicken burrito I ordered was just loaded with beans and beans. When it was suppose to have peppers pineapple none of that was in there. The food was ok at best, ordered the Ceviche, and got a shrimp cocktail. It was good, but definitely not ceviche. Ordered the Chile Verde burrito, the meat and beans were bland, no seasoning at all, meat was also dry like it was left out. Tortilla was not "cooked" like they took it out of the package and made the burrito. Burrito bowl was just a bowl, no tortilla chips or anything, was ok. The best thing I would say is that salsa was really good. Slight hint of heat but good. The little bit of Verde sauce on the burrito was good but definitely not enough of it. It's just a "fancy" Mexican restaurant. A bit overpriced for the lack of flavor I would have expected.

Ok, so I always post positive reviews (if any) We came in on a slow Monday night for dinner. The waitress was new and very helpful, courteous! We ordered the "Captain's special " fajitas which looked great on the menu (scallops, mahi mahi, jumbo shrimp etc.)
Well, when the food came out, there were 3 small shrimp in a hot pan with heaps of sautéed peppers and onions. That was sent back to the kitchen and after waiting a bit came back out with some more seafood in the pan.
I made a fajita and bit into what I thought was a shrimp 🍤?!?! The downward spiral continued as the shrimp was beyond dry and definitely not "jumbo"
I ate the rest of my dinner with gratitude and was making the situation positive as this was my last dinner with my son, DIL, and grandson as I was going back to my home in California in the morning.
The waitress was new and very attentive to us, maybe she should be training the cooks?!

We were staying in a nearby hotel and decided to give this a try. Thankfully most of us really like fish dishes because that's like 50% of the menu and I'm told they're pretty good at it. I opted for a chimichanga and it was fine. The rice was fine. Everything was just okay. Maybe it was my state of mind but everything just registered as acceptable enough. It could have been amazing but the shredded beef in my dish seemed very lightly seasoned which isn't surprising considering the house focus on seafood which tends to be more on the subtle side.

We walked in and we’re wowed by the interior design, it is beautiful in here. The service was above average, they were nice and caring. Now the food, it was extremely expensive, and they added on prices of little things, they force you to take two dollar salsa. We found three hairs in our out of the four people that were at my table. When you go out to eat, you're expecting an equal mix of food, atmosphere, and service. Manny's was different than this in many ways from walking in the door and the atmosphere being amazing, to the server who was one of the best I've had in the 10 plus states I've lived and dined out in. However this stuff could not make up for the utterly disappointing food. The menu reads like something you'd find in a high end restaurant on the coast, with the prices to match. I ordered the fish tacos, and my wife ordered ground beef nachos. Once ordered the server brought chip and salsa. This wasn't terrible but salsa was on the flavorless side, with a kick. Food comes out, and everything was plated to perfection. Unfortunately that's the best thing I can say about the food. The fish tacos had so much fish per taco I had to pull out the fish just to eat the tortilla and other ingredients. The other ingredients were about 6 tomatoes per taco and too much red cabbage. The rice was very bland, and beans were just meh. Wife's nachos were worse. The "ground beef" tasted like the meatballs that come in Chef Boyardee canned pasta, not like something you'd expect from a restaurant. There was an over abundance of lettuce, a few higher than normal acidity tomatoes, and very little cheese. If you're in the La Crosse looking for Mexican food, stick with Señor Villa, or Hacienda Vieja in Holmen, the food is just better.

The frozen, margarita was watery tasting...not worth the $8 Happy Hour price. You can see how beautiful the meal looked! My wife and I ate at Manny's tonight. The food was very good -- fresher tasting Mexican than I've had at many other restaurants. The cocktails were also good -- not as highly alcoholic as at many places, so you're not slapped in the face with an alcohol load. Just tasty and right for good conversation and a convivial mood. The server was busy, but efficient and friendly. The only slight drawback was the interstate noise (we ate outside on the patio). But the outdoor feeling was welcome after a long winter. The trees on the back side of the restaurant aren't fully leafed out yet, so the noise dampening may improve in a week or two. Overall, a delicious and relaxing dinner, well-served.

I actually won't be coming to this restaurant ever again. It's been over a year since the last time before today. I ordered the Cortez. The swordfish was overcooked and dry af. Very few vegetarian options here and those that I've tried have been very bland and unsatisfying. The drinks are also very weak - I could drink a pitcher of their margaritas or mojitos myself and wouldn't even feel a buzz. Usually one glass of wine is enough to make me tipsy. Very disappointing. We asked about the chips and salsa and were told they were $6 extra. We got shrimp enchiladas which were good. We ordered refried beans and rice which was an extra $4. It was laughable. Could not believe the amount we got of each were about four bites. The beans were van camps out of a can with about a teaspoon of cheese on top. Will definitely not be going back. Our bill came to $40. It was not worthwhile.

For 2 jumbo margaritas I spent $30 with the tip. They tasted AMAZING but definitely could find cheaper stronger drinks elsewhere WITH a meal.

Nice atmosphere. Food is good enough. Pricey for the food served. Upcharged for every little thing. My husband ONLY drinks Korbel.....he knows his Korbel. They poured brandy out of a Korbel bottle.....but it wasn't Korbel. Sort of like the Hunts ketchup out of a Heinz bottle. Sketchy. Won't come back.

Have always enjoyed Mannys and in the past the chips and salsa were complimentary. Last night we asked for chips and salsa which they brought but neglected to tell us there was a 6.00 charge. Very poor customer service. They should have mentioned the upcharge before bringing to table….

Big nope from me. TLDR; skip this place until they get more waitstaff, waitstaff who actually care, or the managers wisen up and only open part of the restaurant. The service was terrible.

We had reservations to celebrate a birthday last night here. It was my first time and a repeat favorite of the birthday person.

All I can say is that the service was horrible. 100% horrible. Especially for the prices on the menu, you'd expect to have a little more attentive wait staff.

We had reservations, arrived maybe 15 minutes early and were sat immediately in a fairly empty restaurant. Despite that, it took us 30 minutes to get our drinks (just water) and chips/salsa and to have our order taken... Keep in mind it wasn't even busy yet. It was an hour and twenty minutes (1:20) from the time we got there until we got our meals. By the time our meals were delivered, the restaurant was full, and it's a huge restaurant. In the whole time we were waiting, our waitress never stopped by to check on us, get refills, refill our chips, etc. All said and done, it took us 2 hours to from the time we got walked in until the time we left. I'm all for a leisurely dinner out, but that would be for something with several courses. Not chips/salsa and Mexican food.

I understand that restaurants are often short staffed these days, but the owners/managers then need to consider opening only smaller portion of the restaurant. The guest experience shouldn't suffer so you can keep raking it in.

Reply to the owner questions: Hampton Ct location on Saturday night. I should have clarified, the restaurant was completely full by the time we got our food. It was fairly empty when we got there which is why there was no good explanation for why it took so long to get our order taken, get water, chips, etc. You do not have the staff to have the huge restaurant open at full capacity without sacrificing the quality of experience for the customers. I get that it's tough but you will ruin your restaurant's reputation and hurt your long term propects for immediate gain.

Went with a group of six, we ordered our toddlers food immediately so he could eat before us without waiting. Waited 1.5 hours for his quesadilla. We were not acknowledged or checked on so we had to go to the bartender to ask for refills on our drinks. After well over 2 hours of not being served our dinner, we had to chase our waitress to the kitchen to basically beg for our food to be boxed up so we could just go home. Took almost a half hour to get our boxed food and pay. No apologies or assistance from staff.. we felt we were an inconvenience the entire visit. We understand there is sometimes short staffing and busy times, however a short explanation or acknowledgement would have gone a long way. Over $200 bill for us to end up taking our food home.

We want at Lunch time we will NEVER go again, first comesplaint is they don't give you chips and salsa untill you're food comes 2nd I ordered beans on the side of my meal. My daughter ordered a taco salad. I came. It was cold. Totally not worth $17 and he kept telling me one minute for my food one minute for my food. Finally, 40 minutes later I said what's the holdup and he said oh The cook didn't understand your order. So "why not ask"? If she was confused so I never ended up getting my lunch. ISo we never return we will be going to Betty's tacos for now on.
