We went on Labor Day morning and even though Manny was slammed cooking for a packed restaurant, he still found time to step back and chat with customers. 80’s and 90’s tracks were playing in the background, everyone was in a good mood, and the food? Absolute fire. Manny, you’ve got it all figured out.

Manny is a living legend! This place has been here for so long I can now bring our kids here. The location is great right next to the water and we always get great service.

Manny's Snack Shack is a great little breakfast/ lunch restaurant with the old-fashioned diner feel. Manny himself is a fantastic, short order cook. He and his staff wear shirts that say that they "always dance in the kitchen." This is true! The disco music sets the tone, and Manny and Co sway and bop their way around both kitchen and dining room. Be aware... Manny likes to upsize everything, so order less than you might think you want. You won't go hungry. I promise you!

So, basically, it's my favorite type of counter restaurant and greasy spoon. If you like things like Bacon and Eggs, omelets, giant sandwiches, and one of the fastest hardest working line cooks in creation, this place is for you. Sure, plating doesn’t match, space is limited, but the atmosphere is on point, prices and food are perfect for its genre, and a nice view of the lake. If it has one drawback, to many Illinois drivers in the parking lot that can't figure out how to angle their cars.

This is the tastest diversion from Route 50 that you will take to Twin Lakes. The place is packed and it's all because of Manny. He is the chef, he is the owner and that's him rocking the grill top. And, he shuts the door at 1:30p.m.. The service is fantastic. They don't add a "suggested tip".
His Huevos Rancheros Burrito is the specialty of the house. Yes, that is ONE pancake. But "Chicken George", Chicken fried steak with three eggs. Ask for the hash browns to be Potatoes O'Brian'ed. It's a great flavor addition👍🏽. Ask for a biscuit and gravy instead of toast. Yum!😋

This is the BEST breakfast place in southern Wisconsin! The portion sizes are huge, and I guarantee that you will not leave hungry! It's so fun to watch Manny cook in front of you, and when it's busy, it's truly an art form to watch him. I will forever recommend the biscuits and gravy and hash browns. They are the best I've ever had.
If you are an early riser, I recommend getting here before 9:00 on a weekend...it gets very busy with a line out the door (which is a testament to how loved this place is).

We had an excellent time! Manny (the owner) is a very nice man, and the staff was kind and attentive. The view of the lake was pleasant. Good portion size at a reasonable price. Low counter with stools and booths in front of the grill to get a bird's eye view of his skill and performance as he prepares anything you choose to ingest! Came here for breakfast and ordered the gyro omelette and huevos rancheros. I was weary of gyros in an omelette, but it was one of the best I've had. They have a good variety of options on the menu and I would definitely come back to try more things. The Manny's chicken tender wrap is way more than any one person needs to consume in a lunch sitting but, it's so good you'll eat it all. Be prepared to enjoy yourself, say hi to Manny cause he's making your food. The staff is always friendly and responsive. Music playing loudly while.the man makes up some magic at the grill.
