I've been coming here once a week for the past 2 months. The food is delicious, so far I've had the artichoke toast, and I've had the chicken salad sandwich (I get the same thing every time). The chicken salad in the sandwich is fresh made, the chicken in the salad is grilled, the flavor is consistently the same every time, equally flavored, fresh, portions are good, customer service is good, no unreasonable wait time, and the bread that the sandwich is made on tastes fresh made in the pizza oven. I love consistency, good food and good service, if thats what you're looking for try this place out.

Came here from kenosha wanting to try something new. Things did not start great when we ordered an appetizer and it never came. The entree I ordered came out as a pile of basically naked noodles with maybe a little sauce on the bottom of the plate, and the chicken was very undercooked. Side note, the menu does an incredibly poor job of describing the items. Neither I nor my girlfriend correctly anticipated what we were served based on their descriptions. The server then brought out our forgotten app a bit later, the tempura squash wasnt bad but definitely nothing special. Overall it is definitely nowhere near worth the price, and personally not even worth ever coming back

Service is 5/5. The food we had was HORRIBLE. To celebrate our anniversary, my wife and I ordered the $150 Tomahawk Steak for Two, medium rare. The meat was borderline raw and absolutely rancid – it smelled like wet dog. It stunk up my car, even after we returned the food. In addition to a steak that would've made us sick, the other dishes were inedibly garlicky (and we like garlic!).

The hostess and manager were super nice and friendly. The atmosphere is fantastic. Our food was criminally mishandled, and the cook working that night (9/21) should be removed.

Honestly, haven’t tried the food but we were at party on the pavement and it was raining so a group of us (including my 9 month old daughter) were under the awning out front… in the midst of the pouring rain without any warning they decided to close that said awning!! I look inside to see the hostess laughing while my daughter is getting soaked. Despicable. I will never eat here and in fact, I will do my best to tell everyone about this horrible encounter. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Terrible people.

I had dinner here with family last weekend. Drinks were delicious. Staff was wonderful. Two had salmon and really enjoyed it. One has veal and I think that was good. Last two entrees did not hit the mark. The porchetta was overcooked. Skin around it was really hard, so much I actually thought it was a bone. The gnudi had a very overpowering citrus note which did not pair well with bolognese. Overall good experience and I'd give it another try.

What a great addition to the Racine/Kenosha dining scene.
It’s not typical to find exemplary food in a local hotel, but this is well worth the visit.
Thus far, we have sampled both breakfast (open for brunch on weekends as well) and lunch and we were very impressed with food and service.
Their chef has a passion for creativity and giving you such a fresh perspective on standard fare..
Shay, our server was so gracious and excellent with food recommendations.
Soups had incredible flavor and the chicken caprese sandwich was out of this world! This was a grea, first experience.
Second time around we got in for Fathers Day breakfast, another delightful meal.
Who orders spaghetti and meatballs?
The name absolutely fools you. This is no ordinary plate of spaghetti. It’s an amazing concoction of spicy pork meatballs with a scrambled egg noodle mixture and wrapped in a Lo-mien sauce. wow! The pork belly hash also drew rave reviews. So fun to eat food created with love!
Be aware, this is not fast food. Every item is cooked to order but so worth the wait. And with a quiet relaxing and beautifully designed dining room, this was not a hardship waiting for our meals to arrive.
Looking forward to returning soon.

We were surprised to find ourselves as the only customers at around 10am on a Sunday- a very busy and popular time for breakfast. We had the bacon and cheese omelette (the fluffiest ever) and the main st platter (eggs done perfectly over easy). The breakfast beverage options were excellent as well, we had cranberry juice, chocolate milk and the most delicious amaretto latte. We enjoyed our wonderful meal in beautifully decorated surroundings. It felt like we were in another city to be honest- not what we are used to for breakfast options in Racine! Beautiful building and nice restaurant staff, but the food falls short. We ordered food to go and ordered a cocktail while we waited. The lavender limon drop cocktail tasted like lemon juice. The fritto misto ($18) was a mess of tempura fried peppers, with a few pieces of shrimp and calamari. The prosciutto and fig pizza ($22) was so heavy on the fig that other ingredients couldn’t be tasted. Husband liked the salmon and frigola ($35) but the carrots were undercooked. We want to patronize area businesses but don’t know if we’ll be back.

We entered the restaurant through the Verdant hotel which has a beautiful lobby. The lobby has a fireplace at the center with comfy seating all around. The restaurant has more of an aesthetic ikea look and felt cold and not cozy in the middle of February, plus they sat me behind a large square support structure even though it was early (5pm) and the restaurant was fairly empty yet. In spite of that the table service was great, even after the restaurant filled with patrons.
I ordered the salmon, it was moist and had great flavor and laid on a bed of creamy al dente fregola. My husband ordered the lasagna which was definitely the wrong dish to order in a city filled with amazing Italian food. It was a bland heavy brick of noodles, cheese and ground beef. We will return once the weather changes and we will try different dishes.

Our service was awful. Took atleast 15mins to get drinks to table after they were ordered. We were never asked again if we needed another drink. Our appetizer bread was burnt. My husband had the short rib pizza which he said was good. My Caesar salad was good but my shrimp were over cooked. The restaurant was not busy. They did have a large party upstairs. Those people were coming down to the restaurant bar to get better service. Every time the door open we had a cold breeze on your legs. The hand rail was loose when coming into the restaurant.

Most of our food was burnt and the rest lacked any flavor whatsoever. The menu did not match the menu online. We ate minimal amounts of our dinners and no one even asked if there was an issue with the food. We tried dessert hoping it would at least end on a good note, it also was burnt.
The restaurant manager and cook were very underdressed for the atmosphere of the restaurant, but all of the wait staff were dressed more appropriately. Our waitress was very friendly and provided great service. She was the best part of the meal. We were very excited to try something new but that quickly faded.

We went for brunch on a Saturday around 10 am. It wasent to busy , the vibe was awesome . Staff were super . Ordered a Bloody Mary… simple , “fancy” and one of the best ones I have ever had ! My husband ordered the espresso martini and it was really hard for him not to chug it ! Our waitress was Raine… she was great! The food was delicious. We started off with a Caesar Salad and a Gorgonzola and Pancetta Wedge Salad. Then we had the Focaccia Garlic Bread. You have got to try it!!! We shared a Prosciutto and Fig Pizza as our entree. We finished with the Limoncello Bread Pudding for dessert. My wife wanted to go out to a nice dinner for a belated Valentines Day and wanted to try Marguerite. The atmosphere was rowdy and noisy. My 68 dollar 45 day aged New York steak was ordered medium rare but when it came to the table the steak was not juicy but dry, tough and gristly. The gnocchi and cippolini onions were good but what I assume were mushrooms were burnt and crispy. The cook on the steak was medium rare but it must not have rested properly. I believe it was sliced too early and sat. It should never have left the window in that condition. This is a rookie mistake. I don't know how else a steak can be medium rare and be dry and tough. After a few bites I couldn't eat it so they did take it off of the bill. The service was lacking as well. The server took our order and we ordered a nice bottle of wine with a caesar salad for an appetizer. My wife and I sat for fifteen minutes with no wine, salad or server. We were ready to leave when I asked for the manager. The manager then brought us our wine and our salad showed up shortly after. The limoncello bread pudding was good. We have dined at many fine dining establishments but this one was disappointing. At these menu prices, one should have a fine dining experience without trying ones patience. I hope your experience is better but we will not be going back.

My wife and I dined here this past weekend and everything we ordered was excellent! Drinks were all well made. They had a nice selection of imported limoncellos. The dishes were all fantastic as well. We ordered the Fritto Misto, Chicken Asparagus al Limone, Taylor Bay Scallops and the Limoncello Bread Pudding. I did see a number of GF and VG options on their menu which is always nice for those dining with dietary restrictions. Service and atmosphere were all on point. It’s great to see a place like this added to Racine’s downtown!

This is a great restaurant overall and I enjoyed my experience. I think it's the nicest place in the immediate downtown area. The food was good, atmosphere was perfect for the theme they are using. My only critique is that the service was a little slow and the place did not look too busy. Will be back. Salads were very good, and the Pizza was good because its different than the usual Pizza served in the area.

Went for my dad's birthday with a party of 8; we were seated promptly and were well-attended throughout the evening by the friendly wait-staff. All the food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. We popped up to the rooftop bar for a few minutes while our food was cooking, and the views were amazing. Well done, Marguerite!!

I don't even know where to begin. We went out for my wife's birthday. She picked the place, had great reviews. Only one other couple in the restaurant. We thought awesome place to ourselves! Got seated right away, very friendly hostess. Great atmosphere. That would be all the compliments I could give. 5min after being seated a "water person" offered us a few options of water. We stated we would love water and a bottle of wine (ordered right from the drink menu). We were told our server would be right with us. 10min goes by and someone did show up. We ordered our bottle, waited another 10min for our server to tell us that bottle was not available. So we ordered 2 glasses of wine, delivered by bar staff. Waited another 10min to put an appetizer in. We got the food relatively quickly. There was no explanation as to what the relish tray consisted of. Also the peppers were sub par at best.
We did not continue the menu and kindly asked for our check.
Should not take 25min to get a glass of wine. If anything we were more upset at the service than the food. Still one person will ruin it for the rest.
We will not be back. It's very disappointing.

Food was incredible, menu is not real extensive but no need for that when all the flavors are in the dishes offered. Service was great and friendly staff, however my only knock is they are very soft spoken so it was a little difficult to hear them. With that said kind and respectful staff great food and atmosphere was perfect!!!! If you get a chance get the steak it’s to die for!!!!

Lovely new restaurant right on the square downtown. We weren't sure what to make of the new hotel & restaurants when news broke, but it's a nice use of the space. The food is good. The staff were all great. The atmosphere is well appointed for the area. Perfect for date night or lunch/dinner with friends.
There's a lot of great places for food downtown & I'd definitely keep Marguerite in the mix.

I don't normally post reviews, but I just had to. We made reservations for 2 @5:30pm. We ordered the Frito Misto for an appetizer. It was so good we ordered it again (they added extra sauce!) My husband ordered the Spicy Salami Pizza Diavolo and I had the Lasagna. I do not like Lasagna.... y'all do yourself a favor and order the Lasagna. It was that good. Madison was our server and was so kind and attentive. The Floor Manager Mia even gave us a tour of the rooftop bar. The food, atmosphere, and service was top notch. We're definitely going back!!

Kudos to ownership and the city for bringing this fantastic hotel/restaurant to downtown Racine! We had dinner here last week and the food was fantastic and the service was polite and professional. The restaurant looks great!! Our server Mia was absolutely amazing and very welcoming! She was on top of everything! She was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole time for our dinner! It made the night very enjoyable! The food was also very good and the chicken was amazing!! All in all amazing service and good food!! Will definitely recommend Marguerite to others. Again great service!

Update 8/13: I had my second visit to Marguerite and was served by Mia U again. She was personable, polite and on top of everything. She was hosting, bartending and serving all in one. She also had multiple tables and was on top of it and every customer had a smile. She was phenomenal and I will be requesting her every time I visit!
