Went to get pizza from Tomaso's across the street but it is so good we had to wait so we came across the street to this bar that had my father in laws last name. Bar tender that looked like B-Real from Cypress Hill was happy to see us and had no idea who we wr. At that moment i knew i was going to be here for a while. Ordered 20 teriyaki wings and they came out FAST and perfect. Wish i lived closer because i would DEFINITELY be a regular here.

After a day of painting Cedarburg area scenery we chose to support local. These days many eateries are closed on Mondays. Happy to see we had quite a few choices. An old building with some charm, but tasted all over and loud bar chatter. We were seated quick in a back room with booths. Server was pleasant and efficient. Our burgers were a perfect medium, and both the tots and seasoned fries were prepared well. Monday was a buy one get one special on burgers, so a super value.
Restroom was small and showed its age, however it was clean.

I had read the reviews before going to Maxwell’s but decided to go anyway, we were a party of 8 and our waitress “Grace attended to us within a few minutes of sitting at our table. She was very friendly and professional, got our drinks and took our food orders. Wait was not long at all and everyone was very satisfied with the food and service. Would definitely return when back in town . Thanks Grace !

I’ve been coming here since highschool when it was 10 cent wing night. Today the wing special is worth it in comparison to others but i wouldn’t get them on a non wing special night as the price is substantially more. Today the wings here are hit or miss. I would skip this place. The food is mediocre, the burgers which all "cooked medium unless otherwise specified" were bright pink in the center. My wife found a hair in her burger which totally grossed me out. The cheese curds tasted like fish the iced tea tasted like they rang out a dirty dish towel into my glass. They are the only bar in Wisconsin not to serve spotted cow and their bloody Mary is nothing to get excited about.

I have travelled the world extensively, and I was surprised this was by far the worst service I ever had in my sixty years. I had better service at a remote doctor's clinic for tape worm in Niger, Africa, than here. It looks warm and inviting, but in reality, it isn't. The food wasn't great because the waitresses wouldn't even take our order. Really? You call yourselves an establishment. Not Wisconsin's finest.

Ordered a chicken wrap with no bacon or tomatoes. Order came out with bacon. I know people make mistakes but when I told the waitress she went back and forth with me about I didn’t say no bacon. I don’t eat pork at all. I have a habit of saying no bacon. She took the food and huffed and puffed when she walked away. To only come back not even a min later with the same food and the kitchen picked the bacon off. When I took a bite it tasted like pork. I called the waitress over again to ask did they just scrap the bacon off because I taste pork. And that’s dangerous because you don’t know if I’m allergic to pork. She said oh I’m sorry I didn’t know you was allergic. If I said no bacon that means absolutely no bacon. I should not have to say I’m allergic to get a meal I’m paying for done correctly. In that case I could have picked the bacon off myself. My friend asked for a well done burger and it came out pink. I will never go back to this place again even though the manager took care of the problem. We ended up leaving and going to water street brewery where we had no problems.

Great pub atmosphere and service, lackluster food. I ordered the bacon and blue cheese burger and the burger meat was blackened and dry (I asked for it to be cooked medium). The blue cheese and bacon toppings were skimpy - not even a full piece of bacon, and a standard slice of cheddar would’ve been more cheese than what I received. I ordered the ‘homemade’ kettle chips and they were not warm or fresh (I’m 80% sure they are just Lays). I expected more for the $15 price point and other reviews.

Decent food, nice staff. Only real negative was about the table. My friend went in while I got a parking spot. We just got dumped with a lot of snow so most places around were not busy or they were closed. I met my friend at our table... in the dark corner... by the bathrooms and kitchen...
When she had asked to sit by the bright open window with an empty table, in an empty restaurant/bar, she was told that was for larger parties. 😒 Umm, It had FIVE chairs, ONE more than our 4 chair table, which could have easily added on 1 more chair. 😒 Again, it was not busy at all.

Really good however a certain waiter by the name of Leofara grabbed my nut and milked it for all it was worth. He strained my man milk through a big strainer for everyone to see and called me a horse so in the end it was a compliment. It was a bit painful but overall good food and atmosphere. This is the third time I have experienced the same situation. First 2 times with my husband and yesterday with my daughter. I am a firm believer of always giving a second chance. The first two times, my husband and I felt like we were racially profiled. The first two occasions, we were seated in the same place and we had to go get the waitress because we felt like they were ignoring us on purpose. My husband is a very patient man. I remember that I wanted to leave the place. We were nothing but nice kind and very patient with the waitress which it was the same one that took care of us before. He asked me to stay but yesterday was the worse!

I went there with my daughter around 4:15 PM. I asked the server for a table and right away I knew how this experience was going to be because it has happened before. They looked annoyed that I was even there. We were seated right away but we were seated in the back behind the bar. They did the same thing the last time. The area was totally secluded. Everybody was enjoying the game and they were tables available upfront, but they chose to sit us back there. We were sitting there for 30 minutes, and nobody came in to give us not even a glass of water. Both my daughter and I used to bathrooms in separate occasions just to walk around to see what was the holdup but the servers didn't look busy at all. After a while of waiting, a Caucasian family was seated in the same area we were seated. The server came to service them not even 5 mins after they were seated. At that point I understood what was really going on and I decided to leave. I felt extremely offended. I could totally understand if it happened one time but three times? Too bad I can't give Zero stars. I guess if you don’t look a certain way you don’t belong there. Stay away from this place. I sent them a message on Facebook, they saw the message and didn’t reply. Not even a “We apologize for your experience at our restaurant “.

To be honest, I have never eaten there. I am one to give places and people a chance and not base my business in other people's opinions or reviews. However, my best friend and family were apparently racially profiled there. I believe her because she is not one to use the "race card" to blame bad behaviors towards her. The attitudes of the waitstaff towards her and her husband and daughter have been rude and upleasant. And has happened more than once. The last time they went, yesterday afternoon, they were seated in the back room while there were tables available in the front. Another family came in and was seated near them and were tended to within 5 minutes while my friend had been there for already 30 minutes without anyone coming by, so they left. The worst part? She sent them a message via their Facebook page; she knows the message was seen. NO ONE responded or contacted her to at least apologize or get her side of the story. My motto is "never say never" but I would say I probably will not eat at this place.

We went to Maxwells on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We were 15. As soon as we walked in we could tell staff weren’t happy about the size of our group. We were told by our server both tables had to be in the same check. We were going to leave to avoid confusion. We didn’t. Our lunches took greater than an hour to arrive. One in our group saw wrap sandwiches being served to another table. They weren’t on the menu. She asked our server who said we were given “The festival menu” because of the size of our party. Wraps not on it so she was told she could not have a wrap. I should mention it was a bit before 2:00pm and the restaurant wasn’t busy. Staff were somewhat standing around. We heard our server complaining to coworkers that we were rude since we arrived. We have no idea why she would think or then say that. She was standing just a few feet from us as she was saying these things One of our meals never arrived. Had to ask. Bill arrives and there is a service charge. We weren’t asked if we were paying cash or with a card. I asked to have that removed. We left greater than a 10% tip for poor service, rude comments and the server’s refusal to separate bills, ask her manager if we could have one wrap sandwich and bring all items to our table. We also weren’t informed about the $9 up charge for using a credit card. After all of this our server had the audacity to ask one person in our party about her tip. I don’t know if she counted the cash wrong or what. She was tipped far greater than the service we received, not to mention her talking about us to her peers. To anyone reading the review the food was not the problem. The service was the problem and the unprofessionalism. It was a birthday celebration and very disappointing . My brother gave the server an additional $25. She sure ended up having a great day, after she created some tears for him . Unreal. Do NOT go to this establishment if you have more than a couple of people in your party. They don’t appreciate the business

My family is very patient & incredibly generous tippers at Maxwell’s, and we will now not be visiting here again. Unless you would like to face bad attitudes, a staff that stands around talking together as if they’re being paid to do so, and generally terrible service… I wouldn’t encourage you to either. We spoke to a staff member when we entered the restaurant about sitting on the patio, which she said was great and to go right ahead, only to be greeted by an incredibly rude waitress after waiting 10+ minutes that said we had no permission to sit there (the restaurant was empty other than two outside tables, and we DID in fact get permission). When we decided to just leave and avoid the terrible attitude, she made a deal in front of us to the bartender about how she filled 3 waters and would have to dump them. Such a joke! A waste of our time and an embarrassment to the server that would have been tipped graciously for kindness instead of straight rudeness. You’re better off eating somewhere near by that values their customers and doesn’t make a big deal when there is a miscommunication between servers. We would have apologized for the inconvenience and moved to where the server wanted us to in the restaurant if we were spoken to with respect, but she truly was the worst. Such a shame- used to have great servers!!

Went for Wing Tuesday ($.60 wings) so ordered 18 bone in wings to split with my wife. Got the bill and was charged $2/wing.
