I normally don’t leave reviews, but my recent experience at this location was disappointing and needs to be addressed. I placed a mobile order for a Big Mac meal with no pickles and no onions. When we got home, the Big Mac had no cheese, no lettuce, and still had pickles—completely different from what was ordered.
Since we live close by, we went back through the drive-thru within a few minutes to get it corrected. When we explained the issue, we were met with attitude instead of an apology. We were told they were out of lettuce, but no one informed us of that when we picked up the order. When we asked for a substitute, the manager cut us off and responded in a rude tone, saying, “It’s not our fault there’s no lettuce.” She then rolled her eyes, shut the window, and continued to give us looks while scrolling on her phone.
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this same employee act unprofessionally. A few weeks ago, while dining in, she was yelling at someone about personal matters in front of customers, including children.
I understand mistakes happen, but how they’re handled makes all the difference. A simple apology and respectful communication go a long way. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as the service we received was far from acceptable.

The only redeeming quality at this location is a manager that is very strict with her staff. I consistently receive bad service, the workers do not listen to orders carefully and are irreverent of severe allergies. I can verify the order a several times, and I will still receive the wrong item.

Ordered a happy meal with 6pc nuggets and apples and a hot fudge sundae. Got a 4pc. nugget with fries and they quick filled the sundae when I said I had that too so it was like half full. There was a whole 4 cars in line. If they maybe were actually working Instead of chatting away by the window I would have gotten the right order. This is why stereotypes exist.

Just came thru for lunch ordered 3 meals and they took at least 5 minutes to give us the bag of food just to look and see that they gave us the wrong order, WITH OUR CORRECT RECEIPT BUT WRONG ORDER.
We went thru again they looked at us confused and then laughed said oh that one lady got it (meaning our order) they didn't ask for the other order back so we took advantage and gave the nuggets to our son to only find a 4 peice nugget to be 3 nuggets. Can't even say that this mcdonalds is kid friendly. The play place was closed. All the food was not freshly made like it's claimed to be. Those cheeseburgers, big mac's and double quarter pounders that were ordered were so dry and nasty i wouldn't let a dog have them as a snack. The fries, I mean just the food in general looked as though you guys used the toilet as your cook top. Gross. The literal only good thing that came out of this order was the blue raspberry freeze. On top of that you people need to fix your kiosk system. Deleting the whole order about 4times before it would even work with a very large order. Have to say this is the worst experience that has been had at a mcdonalds so far. Will definitely say this mcdonalds employees are. Payed to mess everything up on you.

Just got the most disgusting double quarter pounder with bacon. There had to be at least 4-5 tablespoons of grease in the bottoms of the box. My dog got the bread, and half the meat. Too much grease so gross. No receipt given so I can’t even leave a review on your survey website. So this is what you’ll get instead. Nasty. Leaving your parking lot at 11pm. In a white truck wed Feb 5th 2025 if you want to check your cameras.

Went through the drive through around 10:55 on August 17th (tonight). they were about to close, yet the guy on the headset was sweet, and understanding. Very rude drive thru staff. Said they couldn't hear me so I talked louder and was told "You don't have to be rude and yell." Tried to explain that I talked louder because you said you couldn't hear me. Was told again that "There was no need to be rude." How is doing what they asked being rude? Talked with the manager on duty and he didn't see too concerned at how his staff was treating people. I love that the play place is back open. We now have a place to take the grandkids when they visit. Food is average, like everyone else went up in price a little, but what place hasn't.
Slow service today 5/8/23 short staffed. Drive threw was busy so girls were busy with them, inside was secondary. I needed ketchup but went without cause I didn't want my food to get cold waiting.
I sure do wish the younger people would want to work again. All restaurants are short staffed here in Beaver Dam

The manager should be made to attend customer service 101 training. When someone politely asks if their order is almost ready after seeing numerous people that arrived after them being served, rolling your eyes and saying "no, you'll just have to wait" while turning away dismissively is a great way to ensure someone doesn't return to your establishment.

I was in Beaver Dam, WI and stopped at McDonalds for a burger and fries. I went through the drive through. I was pleasantly greeted right away, I gave my order and it was repeated back to me, with my total. I was told to pull around to the 2nd window to pay. I was given my food and it was what I ordered. The customer service here was nice, they were friendly, not rushed and they wished me a nice evening. I don't think I was there 4 minutes from start to finish. This is the service we all know and love about McDonalds.

I work 2nd shift and I order curbside and pick up my order on my way to work. I usually order a Big Mac or double hamburgers with no cheese only mustard and onions. 70 to 80% of the time my order is wrong. Within the last 3 months I’ve gotten to work and I discover my Big Mac has no meat. I’ve gotten double hamburgers with cheese and ketchup. I’ve gotten my food double burgers a few times with no meat. I’ve gotten my food every possible way wrong. When you complain they tell you since you order through the app you have to complain through the app. I tried but I didn’t feel like wasting any more time trying to figure out how.
Today was the final straw. I ordered double hamburger without cheese only mustard and onions. I get to work and I get bun, 2 pieces of cheese, one patty and a pickle. I am just done with this McDonalds.
If you have the time go to the McDonald across town. Their service is slow but they usually get my order right.

Waited on outside lane while car after car placed their order from the inside lane and went through. I went in and said something, they still continued to push inside lane through. Terrible experience went there weren’t answering second drive through so I had to wait while 3 cars went through the other side before I could back up and into other side. Then waited for 30 mins while 5 other cars got their food only to not get the right order. Then after all this instead of making it right only gave me 2 meal vouchers for the 2 orders I had like come on now I’m out my food and only get vouchers for what I ordered nothing for such a terrible inconvenience? Very friendly, hard working people on all shifts. Drive thru, pick up & lobby Customers all seem to be well taken care of. But the reason for the 2 star is you can easily see the employees hands through a small square that is preparing the food. 9 out of 10 times they are NOT wearing gloves, touching everything & then wiping their hands on their clothes. OSHA would have a fit! & just general knowledge of all the flu, covid, rsv going on I would definitely be protecting myself.

I called and they offered new fries if I was willing to drive back the thing is I was already home! Everytime literally I go to this mcds using the app they are not able to complete the order and have to issue a refund. Last night bec there was no mgr they could not issue a refund and I just had to pick something other than my order. One of my items I did get was apple pies.. that were ice cold! The young lady working the drive thru seemed truly sorry but literally everytime I go to this location there is an issue? How can one location in beaver dam run so efficiently and the other a hot mess?
