We came in at 1245 on a Saturday after camping at Gov. Dodge state park, hungry and tired. We were going for a nice lunch before heading back a 3 hour drive home.
We noticed right away, there was gross leftover food, and litter all over the floor, and most of the tables were covered in garbage, and not wiped off, if they were empty of trash.
We waited over 30 minutes for our small orders of food, after ordering on the inside kiosk. The place was FILTHY, food and garbage on floors and tables. Nothing was washed off, or swept. When I brought the untimliness of the food coming, up to the manager, she mentioned " this is a Saturday and its busy". She didn't apologize or mention that the would try to get it done soon. My partner mentioned that there were 7 or 8 cars that had gone through, so obviously they were prioritizing drive through service food, and not counter food.
What angered me was the fact that 4 other counter orders were filled, of people who had come in behind us, some of which were larger orders than ours, and our order was not done. I mentioned that, and said that was not ok, and the manager brushed me off.
When we did get our small order of 2 double cheeseburgers, 2 of the 4 piece nuggets, and 2 small fries, my double cheeseburger was not even made correctly. I brought it back up to the counter, and the girl who brought our food out, came over. I explained what happened, and she took the sandwich back, and ( I guess fixed it) , it was not re made, but lettuce and pickles were just thrown on to it.
She brought it back. I mentioned to that manager that we had waited, over 30 minutes, and then the food was not even warm or made correctly. She said " well, that's why I refunded you". I asked her " you did? We weren't told that". She said " the money is in a small bag on the tray with a receipt in it".
I said we didn't even look at that bag, and it would have ended up in the garbage, if you had not told us that.
She then rudely replied " well it's there".
I went back to look, and there was cash in the bag, but no receipt.
We checked how much the food and tax, plus our ( round up donation) was, and it was $17.00 even.
The change we got in cash in the bag, was $14.77.
Even with the donation taken out, it should have not been that amount of money. So, not only do the managers not take responsibility for their lack of action on orders, and bad customer service, and horrible dirty restaurant conditions, they also cannot COUNT.
This is a place I DO NOT recommend. If you have eaten here, and encountered the gross conditions, I recommend contacting the McDonald's corporate office.
I will be doing so, and making a formal complaint about this location in Dodgeville, WI.

After spending 20 minutes in line for a #7 I finally was able to get my meal. To great disappointment my fries were cold the burgers were so salty that I should have asked for another soda to wash them down, unfortunately, I didn’t have another 20 minutes to wait in line. I stopped myself so many times from putting a review because it's a local business but this is turning into an almost every trip issue. I order a #8 and coffee with cream/sugar. They rang up the sandwich and coffee separately which cost me more and left out the hashbrown, also just completely disregarded the coffee modifiers shown in picture. They need to stop hiring 15 year olds or train them better. Unacceptable.

We eat here frequently because we live nearby and our kids love McDonald's. What kid doesn't? The price vs. food quantity and quality are not sustainable or justifiable. I'll keep getting my kids happy meals occasionally, but I will never get more than a drink for myself here again. It's easy and quick (used to be fairly cheap, too), but 30-60 minutes post-eating, I always regret it. I used to get 2x as much food for 1/2 the price at a McDonald's vs. A Taco John's or an Arbys, but now it costs the same or more, so I'd rather buy higher quality food elsewhere. Drive-through is also hit or miss on whether they get your order right. The employees don't know how (or can't) display your order on the outdoor screen, so you can never really tell if it's wrong until you reach in the bag.

I found the code for the app coupon. Then, when I got to the speaker, my phone closed the app. The person taking the order was patient with me. The service was excellent, and the food was great and looked good. Not like some places that throw the food together, and it's gross when you open it. This was my first time I've been to this store now that I drive through there more frequently. I will stop more often.

I couldn’t give a lower review for this location, if you ever stop at the Dodgeville location expect at least one thing on your order to be wrong or missing. Service is terrible, last 2 visits went like this….. order a bacon egg and cheese biscuit as well as a sausage egg and cheese muffin, got home and my wife opened a muffin with a sausage patty on it…..
This morning I got 2 big breakfasts w/ cakes for moms day, got across the street and checked it….. no cakes. I went in and I was told if you get a big breakfast you have to specify cakes which I thought I did, I was only billed for the regular breakfast though, ugh…..
So I ordered 2 sides of cakes to pay at the counter, 20 minutes later I asked them when my order was ready and was told they don’t make it until it’s paid for…
They didn’t even try to seem like they were going to make it right, told them to forget it. What a waste of a Mother’s Day morning…..
I know nothing will come of this and nothing will be done about it….. but I hope it will help others when deciding to go here or not in the future! Good luck!

It's always one problem or another at this McDonald's. Last time I went was just under 2 weeks ago. All my son ate was his fries and he puked them back up an hour later. I have visited a few different times and I have encountered a myriad of difficulties. I have gone through the drive through and they have gotten my order wrong multiple times. I have ordered through the app and workers have come out and told me they are out of whatever I ordered, I don't blame the staff in this case but whoever is in charge of ordering their products needs to be replaced urgently. When I have been inside it isn't very clean or well kempt. The reason I gave this McDonald's two stars for the staff. They aren't overly friendly or great at their job but I have to commend them for working at a McDonald's in the first place.
