I have had a bad experience with this McDonald's location and I do not advise going here. Here are my reasons:
1. The wait time in the drive through was a painful 15 minutes long! This is supposed to be a fast-food restaurant, but clearly my experience in the drive thru does not show that to be the case. There were a few cars that gave up when in the drive thru because of how long the wait was.
2. I ordered a quarter-pounder with cheese and while it tasted okay, it came to me at a lukewarm temperature, which is very disappointing.
3. We were supposed to get a receipt for our order, and when we pulled up to the food pickup window, they did not hand us our receipt! And when we asked them for the receipt, they did not give it to us!
4. I am not a fan of the modernized McDonald's. This is just a personal opinion, but I think the older one looks cooler.

Overall, this is a terrible McDonald's location and I hope to see improvements here. Until they step up their game, I do not recommend going to this McDonald's location. It is beyond awful and my experience has never been this bad at any other McDonald's location!

Took 20 minutes to get our order in the drive through last night. Complete mess, far too lengthy to bother explaining. Bottom line, this store needs an experienced manager. The crew was in complete disarray. One man tried his best to straighten everything out as it continued to get messed up and confused, so kudos to him for sticking to it and not just walking out. The food was as to be expected so no complaints there but the length of time to actually get our food, being charged for food we didn't order, getting food we didn't order, having to work through fixing things and seeing the chaos was enough to motivate me to write this review. Since there are an abundance of McDonalds out there....we won't be going back to the Germantown store.

The wait was surprisingly long, but the reason was simple to see when we pulled up to pay and were ignored, even though the drive through attendant looked directly at us. We waited at least five minutes while he played with his phone. The level of incompetent employees at this facility is amazingly high. Employees texting on their phones laughing and refusing to do their job, 75% of the order missing, and a nasty attitude when told "I would like the rest of the order I paid for." Followed by refusal to honor the receipt printed minutes before. Save yourself annoyance and basically stolen money. Go ANYWHERE else. Lots of better options nearby without the wait and attitude.

Don’t even bother with this negligent McDonalds. They have screwed me over multiple times with breakfast. A week prior I placed my mobile order only to pick it up, get to work and see that the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit I ordered ONLY had sausage on it. Then today I was made late for work only to be told that they stopped serving breakfast and my order was cancelled and the breakfast items were put away. First off the person at the speaker could’ve warned me so I didn’t waste my time in line. Secondly they stop serving breakfast @10:30AM. My order was placed @10:15. I arrived at the window @10:32 due to the line I had just waited in. This is not my problem. Y’all wasted my time and money. Never coming back till yall hire better people. It has a play place, which my kids enjoy. I am pretty frustrated with the service as of recently. Today, I waited 15 minutes for my food and then they didn't bring the drinks to me at the drive-thru. I sat there had two different employees asked me what I needed and neither of them help me. My wife went into the front of the restaurant and she was giving our drinks only to find that the two employees that we had previously told we needed our drinks to were in the kitchen just talking with coworkers.

Don't know how to do their jobs. Very rude. And told is to order on the keyosk. But we are doing cash. And plus most of them are not even uniforms on. Very bad place. Takes forever on getting things. We ordered 3 sodas and took like 20 minutes to get them. And they had no napkins out. And they had to fill our drinks but we could fill they ourselves. But they had to. And the place was very dirty. When I come here, I never get good food or drinks. The people that work here are so rude and down right shouldn’t be working if they can’t even be tolerable people. Recently I’ve been getting a Mocha Frappe with Oreos, I have to pay extra for the Oreos and I maybe get them 2% of the time. I’ve asked them to remake it and then they come back with the same drink instead. They also don’t fill up the drinks at all and it’s such a waste of money. The person who took my order was barely audible. She asked if I wanted my iced mocha hot or cold 😲 Then the person handing out meals spilled some of said mocha onto my hand as he was holding it out the window. He then waited for me to ask for napkins. Other than that, my kids enjoyed their Happy Meals. We are not frequent McD's visitors and will continue not to be.

Update 1/27/2025 w/ security photo: PM side mobile ordering my orders keep auto cancelling, works just fine for breakfast hmm, weird, almost like it’s being toggled.. this place’s service has gotten so BAD that customers will randomly freak out, and instead of improving things, they’ve instead chosen to focus on hiring security. I was there when a guy freaked out and cops were called. They called for security and he looked more scared than anything. It’s a revolving door of inability and now its safety is in question. Is this McDonald’s now a hazard for the menomonee falls germantown communities? Honestly, if you can’t train, audit, repeat, close, please for the love of the community, close like KFC

This store IS BRAND NEW. THEY JUST MADE IT. And guess what? They close early every night and blame it on maintenance issues. First it was 10 pm, then it was 9pm, then it’s 8 pm. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. If I was the owner of the store I would cut my losses and sell it or fire everyone in the restaurant and start new like the building. Then when you’re rehiring, you can do ALL THE MAINTENANCE YOU WANT! Oh, and btw. The ONLY McDonald’s still not allowing take out orders and is drive thru only. lol wow. Makes it exciting when there’s 20 cars all lined up for POOR service, all cutting each other off at the second window option. Lol ugh. Please close forever.

12/17/21 decided I’d give them a chance since I was hungry and needed a quick bite. Horrible mistake, see attached photo to review. 7:15 pm and they’re closed with cones on drive thru. Why are they even open? Make the excuse it’s labor shortages, please. 😑

9/28/24 ordered a free Mc chicken add pickle. The wait was a long time, but lemme tell you, it tasted great. Kudos to the workers, I give you back 2 stars. Some leadership here seems to be trying and I commend the effort

11/16/24 3 pm. I ordered a mobile order, it was taking a while but everyone seemed busy. One gentleman in particular was above and beyond not only in retrieving my order after the wait, but interacting with kid customers in the between time, it reminded me of when I was younger. That attitude is RARE nowadays and I commend him for being a light. You headed an overall star, the service back to 5, and atmosphere back to 5. Bravo

Fresh, Fast and Clean store, INSIDE AND OUT. The lovely sitting area is great when I go in the evening for Family time enjoying the ice cream, sundaes and the WORLDS GREATEST FRENCH FRIES. The indoor children's play area is fantastic and my Grandson absolutely loves it.
I know people are unhappy with the occasional long wait in the drive thru, it's never bothered me much especially since McDonald's are making my family meals sitting for a bit, never longer than 10 minutes with the Peak Hours. My items are always special, like no salt on the fries, it's totally worth the wait.
The employees are always genuinely friendly, attentive and courteous. Occasionally there has been the rude and impatient employee, at this location it's rare.
Overall I love this location for it's kids area and clean outdoor sitting area. This locations prices for Family Size McNuggets meal is no longer where else that I ever find.

We stopped at 1:00 pm on a Saturday. They didn't ask if I was using the app and when I said something they said pull forward hastily and that was it.
I asked for no lettuce on my McChicken and it had extra. The chicken nuggets my husband ordered were cold, and our fries were old.
The only thing that was the temperature it should have been was the bottle of water.
