Rude employee at drive through window. Told me I should have given her my code from the app at the speaker. I said that she should have asked for it if that’s how they wanted it. She told me she was too busy doing all this other stuff and that she would really have to pay attention to do that. Then complained that it threw off the round up donation I had made to Ronald McDonald House. In the middle of our conversation she stopped to yell hey girl to another employee that walked by. No thank you. At the pick up window we waited a long time for two coffee drinks. No greeting, no explanation and no thank you. Just handed out the coffee and walked away. Terrible experience!

Drive thru ordered small fry, 2 pies, and 2 burgers with no salt, mayo, or onions. Came with 1 pie, and burgers had two microscopic pieces of lettuce stuck to the bun like sesame seeds, and loaded with raw onions. Called the manager and he was actually arguing with me that I didn't specify what kind of onions. What?

Service: Is rough in a lot of ways. I watched the employees touch raw uncooked meat with the same gloves they use to also touch vegatables with. It's disgusting. That is a huge red flag!!!!!!

Meal: It's a scam. A burger should not be 2.50$ it's way overpriced garbage you get less of it and paying more compared to back then when we used to have a DOLLAR MENU. You're lucky to get some sort of deal from the app. And it's very limited as to what you can get a deal from. A meal pushing 10$ USD for what is barely a big mac compared to back then is abysmal. Really you can pay slightly more at an actual restaurant and get quality food + fries and drink elsewhere.

Price: Again it's way to overpriced. Like the only decent casual deal you can get at best is buy 1 get one half off. Burger or Mc Chicken..

Drive thru: is extremely rough, morning, afternoon, and at night it's usually 4 or more cars deep on average and can easily wrap around towards the marketplace parking lot. Why even wait in line for that only to wait another 5 or so minutes for food?

Manager: I can't support this establishment so many issues. Employees are constantly playing mobile games while on the job. Seriously ever since this game Pokemon Go announced gyms (In-game) location with in game benefits. Employees are playing Pokemon Go while on the job. And no I am not making this up. They're playing a mobile game while working.

Breakfast: Is the last thing I'd want to order at mcdonalds. Literally.

Tables: Usually there is always a place to sit. But staff are literally sitting were people are eating to do their call back / job applications. Anytime I rarely show up there, I notice this scruffy looking older guy who is always on his phone sits there for multiple hours each day. Usually sits on middle left side of the building from the door, basically the fireplace side of the building.

Honestly if your going here by yourself expect to pay 10$ or more for a meal and sadly still be hungry. Or for a family expect to pay 50+ dollars for your family for garbage smaller quantity of what you would used to get for half the price.

A Cheeseburger should be at best a $1.50 at mc donalds. It's a full on scam.

The place could use an overhaul cleaning it doesn't smell bad or anything but it doesn't smell good. As in the walls hasn't been cleaned in years. The Dust on the back of their tv's is proof enough.

Unsanitary choices, YOU NEVER touch raw food and veg with the same pair gloves I watched it happen with my own eyes. And there is a Mice problem too, saw a dead mouse on the sidewalk adjacent from the mcdonalds.

Also the parking lot itself is croweded by the employees vehicles. Good luck finding a parking spot as a customer. The employees could quite literally park just outside the drive thru, but they can't be seen walking 50 feet to work from their car to work.

I live in hayward and have tried to dine in with my Grandchildren twice in the last week and have been told by employees that it will at least 5 minutes before they will even take my order. I realize in today's world you want me to order my own food on app or at kiosks but I have been going to McDonald's for close to 60 years and have never been told even though there was nobody in line that I would be ignored for 5 minutes or more. I walked out both times.

Sat in the drive thru to ORDER for OVER 30 MINUTES!!! Isn’t very “fast food” to me. I could have sat down in a restaurant and had a full meal by the time I got my food here. I went through the drive thru. Gave a code for a happy meal, didn’t ask what kind of happy meal I wanted until we got to the window. Asked for extra fries before even paying for the order and said we needed to tell them at the 2nd window. I get home and open my Big Mac and had 0 lettuce. My boyfriend had 2 McChickens no lettuce which we wanted lettuce on all 3 sandwiches. So I call them and they say oh that’s cuz we are out of lettuce. If you are out of something and we order something that requires the item we ordered you should say something before we even order it. So disgusted in this place! Do better! We went in to get coffee and use the restroom. We ended up having to order off of the kiosk. Then waited 14 minutes watching our order advance and fall back while staff moseyed in the kitchen mostly attending to the drive through as was evidenced by the line of unsatisfied customers behind us. While waiting I had time to view into the kitchen and was glad I didn’t order food by the filthiness of it. Having worked in fast food I was surprised to see the poor conditions. We finally asked for a manager who relied on the current yet used up mantra of not enough staff. Sad.

A good little McDonald's. They were clean, polite, fast, and our order was perfect. Back home in Nebraska they stopped selling the bagel breakfast years ago, which is something that I have missed as it is the only thing from McDonald's that I like. We are on vacation and stayed the night in Hayward. Needing a quick bite to eat for breakfast, my mother, daughter and I stopped here. And I couldn't believe it, they had the breakfast bagel sandwich. It was everything I remembered it being. 😂

Update 2024 - Stopped again this year. I am not sure what changed, but it was a night and day difference from last year. Great fast service. Friendly staff. Food was really good and hot. Great turn around. One of my best experiences eating in a fast food restaurant. Well done, congrats.

2023 - Slowest McDonald's I have ever been to. The owner and manager should be ashamed to provide service that slow. There were several people working, but a couple weren't really doing anything. Only one person was preparing the sandwiches - poor planning. One other patron commented to me that they aren't any faster thus year. I started in the drive-through line, but that was taking too long, so I went inside - still slow. I thought this was supposed to be fast food.

My biggest issue with this specific Mcdonald's every time I go in to order and dine in this mcdonald's there is like some older guy who is always here. Out of the 2 or 3 times I dine here a month at most for 20 to 30 minutes. That guy is always here. WHY ARE TOU JUST SITTING HERE LIKE 24/7?

My guess is that someone he is close to works here. But STILL. It's extremely unprofessional and weird. Someone within management needs to have a talk with their coworker about that guy. He shouldn't be here for literal hours while you are at work. It's very weird. And again unprofessional.

Food and service advise.

Use the app and save yourself a few bucks.

Avoid Breakfast menu items. They're never good no matter what mc Donald's you use.

Tables are clean. Idk what the other reviewer is on. I dine twice a month and the tables are spotless.

The burgers are not burgers. I don't know what they're serving, but it was the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. The texture was wrong, there was no taste- didn't even have a "beef" taste, and the fries were off - maybe they finally changed the oil. We all ended up sick afterward. The service is always bad, and nobody there knows how to speak to another person. They stick your bag out the window and just say, "Fries". After 45 years of eating McDonald's, I can honestly say I'll never eat at another one again.

We went inside to eat since we had a little one. No one would acknowledge us or even help us with the kiosks to order food. We had to ask the person who was cleaning the lobby to get someone or help. Finally a girl who was clearly punched out for the day to help us. We overheard one of the workers say, it's not that hard. It is when we asked what the code was to finish order. All we got was this one is working. We will never be back to this McDonald's. So unfriendly and ended up at Dairy Queen for the remainder of what we wanted to order. Food was ok and cold.

Every Monday for 3 weeks have stopped in and every Monday get the same order and every Monday they mess up the order!!!!! I knowwww times are tough in the restaurant business but seriously are you or your people that dumb you can’t read a ticket?? Manager should be checking orders before they get put into bags and given at drivethru it’s a flipping joke!!!! Wasn’t here for a year came back to same stupidity!!! All about the money and f… the customers. I’m done won’t be back . Unfortunately that doesn’t mean anything to you because it’s a franchise unfortunately if it was a restaurant locally owned people would not come in but because it’s a million dollar operation they just don’t give a dam!!!!

This is one of the worst McDonald's I have ever been to in my life. Many of the employees are surly. Some are kind and respectful but that is not the norm. The dining room is usually a mess or closed. You never know if the dining room will be open or not. You just get to be annoyed by trying to open a locked door and then you get to read a tiny sign that says the dinning room is closed due to staffing issues. They have an electronic sign that you can see from the road put a note up there about the lobby being closed or don't let people say pick up inside on the app, there are a lot of options for communicating that the lobby in addition to putting a sign on the door. The food is mediocre. The service ranges from excellent with a couple of key employees to abysmal with nothing in-between. The bathroom is tiny and the baby changing table is right next to the door and blocks one of the stalls. The door bumps it when people come in. The fireplace place is nice but that's the main perk. In Hayward our fast food options are MC Donald's, Kwik Trip, Subway, and DQ (not fast). If we got a Culver's, a Wendy's, or a Burger King this terrible excuse for a MC Donald's would be out of business.
