I'm waiting at the drive thru and I ordered chicken nuggets and asked for Honey Mustard. I know the girl at the check out and she promised that my sauce would be in there and not to worry, she would put them in the bag right away

I pull away and my sauce isn't in there. So I had to turn around pull up to the drive thru waiting area and run in and ask for it.

Don't get me wrong, it does get busy and the employees do forget. But this has happened 3 or 4 times now.

We asked for a cup of ice and was declined. We then asked to pay for the cup of ice and was still declined. The cashier said we had to purchase something, so we purchased a bottle water and asked for a large cup of ice. Instead, we're given a small cup of ice with less than 1/4 way filled. Very rude staff, and the cashier didn't even thank us.

We went across the street for .49 cents for a cup of ice, any size and the staff was friendly at Kwik Trip!

We ordered four ice cream cones and three drinks. When the cones were being prepared, one was served to us already melting and dripping off the side. We politely declined it, explaining that it was dripping everywhere. The employee responded, β€œYou don’t want this cone?” and we had to repeat ourselves.

At that point, another employee commented, β€œWhy did you order four cones then,” which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Additionally, while waiting, we noticed other staff members distractedβ€”one using a phone, another resting her head on the counter, and others laughing and moving slowly while making the cones.

We asked to speak with the manager, who came over. We explained the situation, but the response we received was simply, β€œOk, I’ll have a word with her,” without any apology or acknowledgment of the poor service.

Overall, the service felt careless and unprofessional, and the situation was not addressed in a way that reassured us as customers. Because as a worker you should be respecting your customers. Thank you.

I don't really write reviews let alone bad ones, but seeming every single time I go here this one lady at the drive through speaker with the red sweater is just so rude no matter how nice you are and I know a few other people who say the same thing. She acts like its this huge in conveniece for her just by ordering something. I tried ordering a Minecraft meal and she caught an attitude about it telling me theyve been out for two days and to stop asking about them. I know that Mcdonalds isnt as focused on guest service as much as other chains and more so focuses on getting food to people as fast as they can but this is just rediculous. I could give you so many examples of this persons rude demeanor over the last year or so I have had but I have written enough.

It's McDonald's, I don't expect much. I know the food isn't going to be great, the atmosphere is going to be rushed, and the service isn't going to be perfect. That being said, having to wait 20 minutes for a chocolate milk is ridiculous. I went through the drive through between 11:30-11:40, ordered a cheeseburger meal and 2 kids meals. When I got to the second window, I got everything except the chocolate milk, which it seemed they needed to get more out of the back store room or whatever they have in the back. I was asked to go around front and park and they'd bring it out shortly. I believe I was forgotten about. I waited for 10 minutes before I tried calling, I said I was out front as requested and was wondering where the chocolate milk was. The line went silent and I watched the girl that answered the phone fix up a couple more orders and then pick the phone back up and the call then ended. After another 5-10 minutes I pulled back through the drive through asking where the hell my chocolate milk was as I'd been waiting out front as requested for 20 minutes. They told me to pull forward and I got it at the first window. It was noon by the time I left and both my kids had finished their kids meals by the time I got the chocolate milk. To say I'm irritated would be an understatement. I will absolutely never be pulling around to the front again, get me my food at the window because I'm not getting forgotten about again.

Went thru drive thru and ordered a sausage, egg mc muffin with no cheese meal, pancakes, Mc griddle and egg with no cheese sandwich and hashbrowns. We get to window and forgot to add caramel frappe. We got our food we check it as we were waiting for our frappe. Order was wrong. I mentioned our Mc Muffin and Mc Griddle were missing the eggs. MELINDA said no you didnt, I took your order myself. Another male associate encountered our conversation and asked the cooks to remake our order. She walks away saying "She is Lying!"
Both my Daughter and I heard her loud and clear.

My daughter and I just went through the drive-thru for breakfast. When we got to the first window, the lady asked a question and I did not hear her. By the way, I am legally deaf in my left ear due to an injury. I asked her "What?" And she blatantly and rudely rolled her eyes right in front of us and repeated the question. Absolutely inappropriate and rude! So sorry I didn't hear you! You work in customer service and this is how you act? If this is an employee that you want representing your brand, your restaurant, I suggest you put someone with a friendlier attitude at your drive thru window.

I have to say that if your sign is flashing buy one get one for $1 on the breakfast menu, then you should honor that. Sadly you did not as I was told it was up in error. So I chose to go across the street and get the same thing at Kwik Trip for less money and better service.

Clean McDonalds with fast and Friendly service. We had a gentleman wait on us that recognized a Marine hat and thanked my BF for his service and shared some specials with us. He made an appreciated connection & made us feel good for stopping here for a quick couple burgers.
McDonald’s has become very expensive but no fault of this particular location.
Food was ready pretty fast and prepared fresh.
Workers were friendly and dressed appropriately with proper facial protection.
Two drive through lines available and kiosks indoors, if you choose to use them.

Terrible experience and terrible customer service! My family and I always stop here on our way home from vacation. We won’t be doing that anymore. We waited 30 minutes for our food and didn’t even get our complete order! I was told they were waiting on our apple pies…whatever!! This must be one of the worst McDs that I have ever frequented. My complaint is the accuracy of the order. I'm used to occasionally receiving an order that is not correct and for that part, that problem had evaporated once I started ordering on the McD's APP. However, the Minocqua Wisconsin location has elevated incompetency to an art form. Last week, I place a large order, a total of 7 burgers in all. All the burgers were ordered thru the app and I had elected for no ketchup. Each burger arrived in my bag with an individual sticker stating what was ordered and it's options. In this case, they all said no ketchup and of course each burger had ketchup on it. I can forgive that since it is an assembly line process but the additional error was what got to me. 5 of the 7 burgers were either a single or double quarter pounder with cheese and even the cardboard box each was in was labeled "with cheese" at the box factory, and all 5 were devoid cheese. Then the remaining 2 burgers in the order were triple cheeseburgers and again plenty of ketchup but no cheese.
I used the friendly email from McDs corporate to comment on the problem and a day or so later I received an apologetic phone call from a store manager who said that the errors were not typical of her location. I agreed that it was a very busy day and the drive thru lines were quite long. She even offered to mail me a few coupons for my troubles. I thanked her and considered the issue closed.

Until, today. My emails from McDs had prompted me to start using some of my 30000+ points in my app; as 13000 would disappear at the end of July. So I placed another large order and used 6000 points to get a free single quarter pounder w/cheese and minus ketchup. I also ordered 2 double quarter pounders w/cheese and again no ketchup. I also ordered 2 triple cheese burgers no ketchup. A very nice young lady delivered the bag to me in the drive thru waiting area after the pickup windows location. I asked her if everything I ordered was in the multiple bags and she assured me it was. I mistakenly drove away. At this point, I was accustomed to ketchup on everything and that is what I received (I probably will have to learn to love ketchup at some point). What was a little more surprising was that while I got my free $6.49 single quarter pounder with cheese (for my 6000 points), the bag was now missing both triple cheeseburgers (not sure if the were ketchup laden). So while I got a free 6 buck burger I was missing about 10 bucks worth of burgers.
If this kind of stuff is always just incompetence, for every time a bag was missing one or two items, another time, I would receive an extra one or two items. Since that never happens, I must conclude that laziness laced with a healthy dose of incompetence is what they're serving.
If I didn't have another 29000 points accrued, I would simply avoid the Minocqua Wis McDonalds FOREVER. But, the points are the points (great marketing). In the future I'm never going to place a large order again and I'm going to insist on a full bag inventory by the person handing me the order or I will refuse to drive forward in their line. This new plan should get me the correct total number of burgers, but without a full unwrapping, I'll probably still get ketchup and at least half the time I won't receive any cheese on my cheeseburgers.

Is cleanliness no longer a priority in the food service business??? Listen up McDonalds - while it's admirable that you hire the disadvantaged, the least you could do, as a mega-corp, is provide them with clean clothing and a trip to the barber?? Worst mcdonalds in the country. Bad enough your price hikes are far more then any other fast food. But the quality of service is terrible. Food order wrong. Some even not edible. Mangers hang up when you call before you can even say hello. Lacking half the required ingredients on every sandwich. And it happens every single visit. Every single one. For a 15 dollar two sandwich order. We should be able to atleast eat our food. Not even asking to enjoy it, just to make it edible. But that's apparently too much to ask for the minocqua location. Last time I ever give money to the Golden arches anywhere. Sad to say but even burger King has better tasting food. At least it's affordable and most importantly edible .

We order online for pickup 10 minutes ahead of time. Got to the drive-thru, and they repeated our order. Went to the pick-up window, and they gave us the receipt along with our drinks. They told us to drive around to the waiting area. We waited for a good 20 minutes, cars behind us got their orders, and the drive-thru got longer and longer. We finally asked them when they handed food to the car behind us. They told us they "LOST" our order. We have the receipt. They had to remake our order from the receipt. Waited another 10 minutes for our order. After 30 minutes of waiting, we finally got our food. Fries were soggy, and the burgers were dry tasteless. They, however, offered us free meals for their mistake. We were from out of town and not staying close by, so we had to make an extra trip for the meals. I personally would not recommend this place.

After about 40 minutes of waiting and them putting the order again we finally got our food. The worker wrote my name down for a couple free meals to make up for it, but without a card or something I’m unsure if they’ll honor it. I’ll follow up to see if that’s honored and up the service to 4 or more stars since they were helpful about the situation.

Went through drive thru and ordered 2 mc chickens, large fry, a six piece happy meal with an extra fry instead of apple slices. UPDATE 10/22

OK, this time they had the "cooking oil filter alarm" going off for....drum roll...26 MINUTES!!!! I finally went up and asked and they turned it off. The nice young woman said she didn't hear it...the lobby sure did. Time of this was about 6:30 pm. About 8 people in restaurant...three of us were bothered to the point the group asked me to go up. Madness! Who was the manager? Where is the manager??? Obviously, this has been going on for a while. I hope McD corporate reads this and calls them. Got a slacking franchisee. So annoying (not exclusive to this store, btw).

Great service but oh my God! PLEASE turn down the fryer and drive-up alarms. It is pure torture to eat inside and have to listen to them the whole time. Note to manager: tell your staff to get the fryer alarm off in five seconds or less instead of two to three minutes each time. You know these go viral. But I'd love to come back and make a good post. PS, service and staff are very good.

Menu prices are lower than what you get billed.
Drink on menu is 1.29. Up from 1.00.
But on bill it reads 1.69.

Months later and the menu still has lower prices than bill. Food still cold (cheese etc.).
The owners response to complaints is cut and pasted to all negative reviews. No wonder why the employees just scoff at people who complain the owners do not care.

One of the worst drive thru experiences ever. Ordered 2 mcchickens and 2 McDoubles. The chicken was dry and warm. Not fresh. The burgers were also dry, blackish and only one pattie per burger. This place has been getting worse over the course of a year and it sealed the fate of McDonald’s for me. This store and McDonald’s as a whole will no longer be getting my money. Tired of downsized food and orders that are messed up for increased prices. I used to really like McDonald’s. Used to.

McDonald's has always been a place for teenagers and college students to work and rightfully so. There was a sign saying adult workers wanted. Working at McDonald's shouldn't be a career but a stepping stone. These people still working at fast food restaurants as adults, trying to raise a family, demanding more money, is one of the things raising prices. Not many adults are needed to run a McDonald's. Those should only be the managers. This one in Minocqua was ran OK but there seemed to be much confusion as to what was ordered. The older gentleman at the front did a great job.

I'm a local and come multiple times a week. I've noticed over the past month the service and quality of staff has dropped dramatically. A lot has to do with training and monitoring that the training of staff sticks. Sad.
