You know what you are getting from a McDonalds so really all you can do is judge the place on the service, and by how clean this is.

I noticed a review that mentioned that this does not look like a typical McDonalds. Some of that could be from the fact that decades ago, it was a Hardee's so the structure of the building is a little different. It has been remodled a few times since then.

Back to the staff. The person who took the order was very friendly. Granted I am juding the place off one transaction, with one person but it was better than you often get at McDonalds. I also noted that the manager was right in the mix getting things done and keeping things moving.

Overall the place was fairly clean and the service was good. You know what you are getting with the food, still it tasted fairly good. When travelling through, I would stop again.

We had been at another establishment and was unpleased with the service… we came here for large fries and frappes. Absolutely the best. French fries WERE SO HOT, they were warm for a 30 minutes drive out of town. Tons of salt and ketchup packets. Overall the best McDonald’s I’ve ever been too!!

I have been going to this McDonalds for years and it has always been hands down the best McDonalds. The past 6 months or so it has gone downhill. I thought it was a one time thing but my entire family feels the same way. The meat has been burnt every time I order a sandwich. Very disappointing.

Label Mc Donald's in Sauk City one to quick call you in for DUI. I was the last one to go through the drive-thru at close and I ordered online got up to the window the worker hands me a packet of Sweet 'N Sour. Thought that was kind of weird but because I had to change my dipping sauce online I may have deleted my $5 meal and the only thing that was on my order was a sauce. I did not know this so I was waiting for my food worker comes out and asked me if I need help with anything I said no I'm just waiting for my food and then the other the manager on duty comes out and says I only had the dipping sauce on my order.b I'm like ok just laughing and having a good time about it cuz I thought it was funny and yeah he calls me in for being drunk a drunk. I just came through the drive through the cop says. And I drive DoorDash 24/7 I'm not going to be drinking. I was very mad. I will be talking to the owner. If they weren't closing do you think they would have handled that different when I said my order was messed up then?? Maybe say we can get that order for you. Nope, Have a good night.

Probably the most consistent Macdons I've ever been too.

Everything is pretty much always fresh and you can tell they don't let stuff sit in the warmers for too long. Service is pretty quick. Can't remember the last time they messed up my order.

Compared to most others I've been to, I've never seen one this consistent.

I set my standards low for McDonalds, but the one in Sauk was amazing! There was a lovely woman at the counter ready to take our order. She was so friendly and polite. The restaurant was clean and smelled of fresh McDonald's food. Soda machines were clean, and the soda was crisp. The food had fair prices compared to other McDonald's I have been at recently. It only cost us $23 for 3 adults to get full meals. The staff brought our food out quickly, and it was fresh and looked like the pictures on the board. It tasted even better than it looked. The staff definitely took pride in their work, and it showed.

French fries were soggy, like they sat around for a while. Ordered the 6 piece kids meal with chocolate milk and only got 6 pieces of nuggets. No meal no chocolate milk. Will not visit again. Which is sad because Sauk city is half way point to campgrounds and if we are running late can grab a bite to eat that is not hard to get in and out or off the beaten path.

I love Sauk prairie McDonald's! They are the best in the area including baraboo and portage. I go about 3 times a week and I order the same thing every time and it's always spot on how I like it. The employees are friendly and remember you and what you like and how you like it. If I'm in baraboo I will drive to Sauk just for their McDonald's. Like I said service is outstanding and food I'd consistently awesome! Great job team and you will always be my #1. Only complaint, I wish they were open later.
