It might have been my expectations, I was told how wonderful a restaurant this is only to be disappointed with my Friday fish dinner. It just wasn't enjoyable. The french fries tasted more like fish than the fish.
The pie looked WONDERFUL and if it tastes like it looks it could be the reason to head to Menomonie Family Restaurant.

I loved the Menomonie Family Restaurant. I grew up eating Gyro omelettes every Sunday after church until the place I went to closed. When I saw the menu at Menomonie Family Restaurant and saw they had a Gyro Omelette, I figured I’d give it a try. Why not. In a word, WOW! This was exactly the omelette I remember from my youth. To make it even greater, I asked the server for some hollandaise sauce, and she came back with a bowl of it. I put it on my omelette, I mixed it into my hashbrowns. I was in heaven for the 15 minutes I ate that meal. It was SO GOOD! I had tears while I was scraping my empty plate I was so sad my meal was over. It was perfect.

The pancakes are large and delicious also. Everything my family got they loved.

Personally, I’ll be back sooner than later. I have no real reason to go to Menomonie. But now that I know about the Gyro omelette here, I’ll certainly be back. Thanks for the wonderful breakfast.

Such a cute family-friendly diner! We were seated promptly, our waitress was so kind, quick on coffee refills, and food came out pretty fast! I was visiting from Indiana, and really loved the small-town vibe here. The tables and chairs were very clean and each table was well stocked on napkins, creamers and sugar packets.
I had a country breakfast platter and the portion was quite generous. My favorite part of the platter was the pancakes, which were fluffy, tender, and flavorful.

I did not have enough space in my stomach to get a dessert, but I did see a lovely selection of pies in a case- they looked delicious! Next time I am in town, I will definitely stop by again.

Stopped in while driving a bus trip in menomonie. Staff was nice, helpful, and honest. Prices were decent and the portions were awesome. The only complaint I would have is the eggs were not great, couldn’t tell if there were powdered or not, either way they were not good. Everything else tasted good, not gunna drive out of my way for it but would go again if in the area.

I took an elderly friend of mine to eat there today. Food was ok, nothing special. We each received a salad and I was very disappointed with that, there was only lettuce and croutons on it, would have nice having a couple of tomatoes or cucumbers on it.
Also, one of the employees was dusting the blinds while people were dining. This should not be allowed. Do it after you are closed.
Aldo, I went to use the reste room and thank goodness the fellow before me informed that there was no toilet paper. He had to reach in the garbage to get paper to wipe with. I had to contact an employee to get toilet paper. This should be monitored.
Also, very poor lock on bathroom stall door.
In my opinion, this is a very poorly run business. I doubt if I will ever return.

We have stopped here every time we go thru town since we accidently found it 8 years ago (easy to get to off 94) The food is very good. For the price, the food portions are extremely generous. Staff is so friendly. It use to be a train depot so the building is interesting and atmosphere cozy. We didn't wait long at all for our food and we had a party of 10.

I use to love this place. Unfortunately I won't be back. We came I'm 45 min till close and was greeted with major attitude. Our hostes yelled to the back DO I SERVE THEM?
