I love this place! Its right by my job as well!!! Food is authentic, like abuelas cooking type of authentic! Everytime I eat their food I have childhood flashbacks, seriously !!!
At first I was disappointed not to see pasteles on the menu but today they said they do sell them but frozen in bundles of 12 so you can take them home and cook but thats how youre supposed to buy pasteles!!!

My wife and I wanted to try this place after seeing the excellent reviews but had to hurry since it was going to close soon for the evening. Upon arriving the owner was apologetic because he had a personal appt and couldn't serve us, but as we were in the car figuring out where to go as a backup he came out and told us he arranged for his wife to handle the appt, and then welcomed us in and cooked us the best tacos and burrito we've ever had in our life!! The owner is incredibly kind and passionate about the food here and you can taste it! I wish we lived here in Milwaukee so we could support this restaurant, it's fantastic. Try it, you will be back!

Stopped in between soccer games at Uihlein. Owners were super friendly and even gave us a sample of food. We got some tacos, a burrito, tostones, and a tripleta sandwich. I ate the tripleta and it was fantastic. I'm coming back just for that sandwich. Highly recommend.

I work in the area and did not know about this place until my coworker recommended it. I stopped in today because I was in the mood for something new and I have to say that was one of the most wholesome restaurant experiences I've had. I told the owner (who was manning the register) that it was my first time and I'm unfamiliar with puerto Rican food. Without hesitation he hands me an empanada. The shell was warm and flaky, the filling was flavorful and plentiful, and the sauce was addictive. I then ordered the 3 meat sandwhoch to go. While I waited I chatted with the owner and shared pics of our families as we are both in a similar life stage. I didn't catch his name but he is a very kind and relatable man. When I got back to the office to eat the sandwhich it was still warm, the bread held up to the sauce and the ingredients were very fresh. I will certainly be back to Mexiboricua!

My husband and I happened upon this restaurant on our lunch break, after seeing their reviews. We ordered carnita tacos, chicken empanadas and elote. The service and food was excellent! They really care about the quality of the food and the service. We could not stop talking about it all day. We will be back for sure. Next time we will be sure to get conchas for home!

The food was phenomenal. The picante sauce added a nice additional kick. It's connected to a gas station and has a very unassuming appearance from the outside but definitely worth the stop in!

There are 4-6 small tables you can sit at if you want to sit and eat there or you can order to go. Great service and food.

Our order was incomplete. 1 Item not put in bag. They were closed by the time we got home and discovered the order was incomplete. I called the next day- got an answering machine-left message and requested a call back. No call back. I called them today. First person (male) appeared to not understand English- put a female on the phone. She told me to report it to Grub hub (we picked our order up in person) She said she would check record (I have order #) A young child was making a fuss in the back ground- the woman hung up on me. The Tostones Locos we ordered and got was like hardtack- not flavorful and very hard to chew. The Arroz con Grandules Grand was OK . I have made better ones! I DO NOT recommend Mexiboricua. Order was in complete and what we did get was not flavorful. Customer service seriously lacking.

I no longer see them as often. this place tastes the most identical to their food & is soooo good !! The man who took my order is soo kind, knowledgeable & funny! Orlando was great. It was me and my aunts first time coming here. We weren’t set on what we wanted and he went in depth of their specialty dishes and things we could try. We went for the empanadas and they are delicious, don’t forget the sauce. The hospitality here is immaculate, as well as the venue. We’ll definitely be making a trip back to this spot. I wasn't in the mood for burgers and second-hand food, I found this place on google.maps and DAMN! I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! THE CRAZY FRIES WERE SO GOOD AND THE TORTA WITH CHICKEN WAS DELICIOUS. Highly recommend! No frills/attached to gas station, but don’t let that prevent you from trying some amazing tacos. They fill their tacos to the brim and I definitely felt I got my moneys worth.

When I walked into the restaurant, there was no greeting hello anything the cashier which is the owner probably looked at me like I was crazy. I asked for two tacos. I noticed there was a dog in the back walking around by the store and Children behind there I got my food and it was the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. This is the second time I’ve had them, the first time they first opened up it was OK. It doesn’t matter about the price that you paid. AMAZING!! We forgot to take photos because we were so excited to eat. From the second we walked in, Orlando (2”we know his name because by the end of our experience he had shaken our hands twice after introducing himself) immediately greeted us, and began telling us about all of the specials he had going, and the different types of meats and selections we could choose from. You could obviously tell how PROUD he was, and how much care he put into his food, it was an entire experience throughout the whole process. We told him it was our first time and he even allowed us to try some of the empanadas free of charge simply because he wanted us to taste them (you bet we will absolutely be ordering them next time!!)… He continued to tell us all about what he does, and why. He also made sure we grabbed a business card that links to his YouTube where he shares some of his delicious recipes. We will absolutely make this a regular stop. Cannot say enough positive things about this place!

I was there, standing at the counter BEING IGNORED for close to twenty minutes. In those 17 minutes three different employees were at the counter. The first one told me to hold on while she answered two very long phone orders. The next one made sure not to make eye contact before he went to the back. The third one motioned for the man behind me (yes she SKIPPED ME) to come up to pay for his order. Then she waved me off as she ran to the back also! ATP I finally snapped and left the establishment because I felt they didn’t want me there. Tuh!
