Stopped for a fish fry , we have done this many times before . This time the waitresses were not friendly, gave us bread basket 3 super thin slices of bread . I asked for more bread got a dirty look, she bought them but really. We got our food ,waitress never came back to ask if everything was ok , never gave me more water I was bone dry. The food we'll .. it has been better, the fish was overcooked, cole slaw was warm small amt of fries potatoe pancakes were ok . The chicken dumpling soup no real flavor and the clam chowder was on the watery side . It has changed and not for the good . Will go elsewhere for fish fry.

Been coming here for years and has always been one of my go to’s for breakfast but something has definitely changed in the last couple of months. They have become extremely stingy with their potato portions. Corned beef hash had next to no potatoes in it. Was basically just corned beef. Yesterday I had to laugh at how small of a portion of American fries I received. I told the waitress “wow, pretty stingy with the potatoes.” She brought out a bit more after agreeing. Awfully disappointed because I have always loved the atmosphere and the staff is great but I think I’ll be writing them off after the last two visits. New owners possibly? You’re ruining it if so.

Michael's has an outstanding breakfast menu. So many tasty choices to pick from. I ate the fruit-filled crepes. This item comes with eggs and bacon or sausage too. I appreciated not having to order any extra protein on my own, but that it came with the meal. Completely delicious in every way. We will definitely go there again.

Michael’s has some of the best food in the area. They have some excellent “comfort food” as well. I particularly like the fact that the senior menu starts at age 55 (and I’m 58). I don’t understand why this place isn’t more crowded, but selfishly, I like that I can always get a table no matter the time or day. Lexi and Jadyn are amazing. They literally run the place with zero stress and they’re always smiling.

I must change my review. My wife and I are a retired couple and visit Michael's a few times a month. The older lady is the rudest person in your restaurant. We walked in and she snapped at us no good morning no welcome pointed at a booth and said sit by window booth we asked for a table and she said sit at booth . We will not return till she is gone.

Went here for lunch was told to sit down and she would be right with us… sat and sat never got offered drinks never came back, then an elder lady comes in sits down and she gets served right away… the waitress who sat us (younger lady with glasses) couldn’t take the time to offer us drinks but sure had time to text what I’m assuming is the boss asking about her W-2, would’ve been nice to get service as I’ve been coming here for years… this would’ve never happened if the previous owners were still in charge…

What you want from a place like this is consistency, and that’s what they provide. It’s not a Michelin star restaurant, it’s a diner (and a damn fine one at that). Cranky owner/cashier handles customers WITHOUT being mean, food comes properly seasoned, all options on the menu are made good or above. My wife and I swear by this place and so should you.

I had the best service here tonight, better than any service I've had anywhere else. After getting my food (decided to try something different) I wasn't a huge fan of it so I was done with it (not a big deal, i wasnt mad at all). The waitress asked if I needed a box/if everything was ok. I said everything was ok but no box. She then took my plate and bill from me and removed the food I didn't eat from the bill. I did not complain nor ask her to do this at all but I was extremely grateful that she did. I believe the waitresses name was Linda.

Small mom and pop type feel, I did carry out but wouldn't mind going back for a sit down meal. Customers looked to be local regulars, there was maybe a dozen to 18 booths? And counter seats. Angled parking out front with street parking right behind. We got a quart of the chicken dumpling and a liver and onion with bacon dinner, everything tasted great, the order was correct, liver was properly done, with 3 big pieces of bacon. Bread was included with the soup. Over all a very nice experience, we will definitely be back to try more dishes!
