Its a small old gem right off the main drag. If you want a buttery char-grilled burger get a double with the works! It's intimate and fast paced so we took to go and stayed on the road. Ordered 2 sandwiches and we were on our way in 15!

Great place to grab a burger or 2 to chow on, they definitely have that homemade flavor that a person grows to love quickly and I would highly suggest if your in the area to check them out and see why the locals love them so much! Just to be clear that most times when you see some place that has Bar-B-Q in its name you think BBQ pork, beef and chicken. In this case you are getting a bbq grilled burger. Meaning no BBQ sauce but a charcoal grilled burger cooked over real flames. The burger itself is very good. Your choice for a side is potato chips and that is it. You also have a choice of fountain soda and malts. I had a chocolate malt and it was very good.

Overall I got done eating the burger and drinking the malt and was ready for more. This says a lot. My only complaint is the burger is so thin that a double burger still is pretty small. Though the patty might be thin the flavors are huge. It just was a great stop and a great burger. I would come here again when passing through the area.

I ate here once when visiting up by Marquette 3 years ago loved it so much that I order 20 minutes down the road every time I’m nearby.
They do a really damn good job, I always pictured the shipyard workers coming down here to pickup their lunch or after a packers game. The place is fantastic little old but that’s part of the charm of what you are waiting for. if you have never been you should make it a bucket list item. Don’t think I could make a single complaint towards them their super thorough on the orders and it’s quick. You guys are the best look forward to many more years of eating this 🍔 burger

Stopped by this restaurant on our way back home. The restaurant is cash only but there is an ATM inside. The atmosphere was very cool. Service was very good. I was greeted as I walked in and my order was placed within 5 minutes. The burger patties were prepared on charcoal grill and the smell was sensational. The buns resembled a soft and thin baguette. It was butter and added with the regular condiments. This was one of the best burger I've ever had and the cost was unbeatable. Would definitely stop by here next time on our way north.

Burgers are basic, but well prepared. Priced right! Ice cream sundaes are in traditional glass dishes. Seating is tight. If you are a group of 3 or more, you have the choice of the bar stools or two tables. (One table seats 4 & the other 6.) All other tables/booths seat 2. Food is fast. Pay in cash! Ice cream is good quality. Working old fashioned juke box - 3 songs for 25c! Bathrooms are small & on either side of the juke box. I'll be back!

Still old spinning stools up to the snack bar or very small booths. They cook things in a fireplace grill with charcoal when you walk in. We had the cheeseburgers with the works and a chocolate milkshake. They are small burgers, but tasty and we watched her grill them in front of us. The menu is small, but if you love a milkshake or an ice cream sundae or pie dessert, you will be happy. Prices are so good. We ate inside and were out within a half hour. I have driven by this place many times, yet it never caught my eye as a place I would want to go to get a meal. Then a friend recommended us to go and it was worth it. Don't miss this place. It's better than the franchise restaurants for sure. It is like stepping back in time which is always fun. All staff were kind. Food was tasty. We will return for sure. I have attached photos.

I returned here in December 2024. What a packed place at 1 pm! I managed to get a seat at the counter. It was standing room only for people wanting to get in. Lots of take out orders going. The workers here never stop moving. It's a gold mine. It was worth the wait for my burger and I have to commend the whole crew of workers who seem to have it all dialed in with who does what job, etc. with friendliness. Nostalgic place. Great tasty burger, especially with the chunk of butter they can put in your burger if you prefer.

Step back in time. 2 Fire roasted and Toasted roll/buns, beef patty, onions, ketchup, pat of butter, wrapped in wax paper. Super delicious, very similar to Kroll's in Green Bay but less expensive and the bun is a little bit softer. Worth the stop if you need a quick bite. Cherry pie warmed up was delicious. Went well with the vanilla malt. Update the grilled cheese is amazing as well. I do not know if I have ever had a more evenly toasted grilled cheese. Picture to follow next time.
