Excellent place to go for Brats. I had the Milltown and parmesan onion rings for my meal. However, as a few other reviewers have mentioned, my onion rings were lukewarm upon arrival to the table, while the brat was piping hot.

Large selection of beer and some mixed drinks. As far as sports bars go, this one felt very welcoming.

I like the atmosphere here. Open place, and lots of room for small groups. Booths, tables, and bar seating. I usually go weekday afternoons, when it's slower. Bartenders very friendly and always there when you need a refill. The Summerfest and Brewers shuttles are a big bonus.
The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is, in the warmer months, they open garage-like doors out onto the sidewalk and street noise and any cigarette smoke wafts in.

They owe me $48. I will not be returning based on my most recent experience. I had won $50 on the slot machine. The payout machine issued only $2 before running out of money. I was told by staff to keep my receipts and come back another time after the manager fills the machine. I sent my son to pick up the cash on a later date. He was denied payment because the staff was new and didn't know what to do. We were told to come back another time. I came a third time to collect. On this occasion the staff said the manager wasn't going to pay because too much time had passed and no money was missing from the till. I tried to settle this by calling Nicki, the manager. I unfortunately didn't get a call back. I was treated like I was trying to get over on them when I was simply following their procedures to collect what they owed me. Never spending another cent there again.

There on a Friday for a fish fry and was NOT pleased. Skimpy pieces of perch that appeared to be refried in dirty oil. Never received my potato pancakes. The waiter stated they were out, but I washed never offered a substitute. A cup of clam chowder that scared me upon arrival. I like the Brat House but am concerned about the recent mischarging vs what is on the in person and online menu. Wings are supposed to be $14.95, I was charged $16.95. I had three vodka press drinks (shorts), and was charged $8 each for each (singles). I should have brought this up when I was there but didn't notice until I got home. 8 wings and 3 cocktails for $51. More expensive than Points East or just about anywhere in the Milwaukee area. Please check the menu prices and your receipts before you pay.

The food was outstanding, I got a medium well burger with fries(if you can add cheesecurds to the burger do it 🤌🏾), a pretzel, and the cheesecurds. The burger was juicy and delicious. We arrived to have a short lunch I ordered wings and Parmesan onion rings, she had the grilled cheese and Parmesan fries with a side of beer cheese soup. The food was very mediocre, the wings were nothing special and the Parmesan onion rings were a complete rip off, the Parmesan fries were more like Cajun seasoning on the fries but the grilled cheese was wonderful, the first order of the beer cheese soup had to go back to the kitchen because it was still cold, and the bleu cheese for the wings absolutely disgusting. My server wasn't very attentive and didn't even ask if I wanted another drink, beautiful atmosphere.

Had an awful experience going in there to celebrate my sister’s birthday. They were out of what she wanted, but didn’t tell us until they brought all the other food which took a long time to get. And mine was ice cold and didn’t have what it was supposed to have with it. I called the manager after we got home, who was not very apologetic saying that they were doing the best they could, but that they were understaffed and busier than they expected. Horrible- will not go back!

The fries were so spicy hot that neither my son nor I finished them ... which NEVER happens! Otherwise, the food is VERY good, and I'll definitely be back for another brat, but if the fries can't be served unseasoned, I won't even bother with them. And I generally enjoy spicy but not overly hot food. I've been here before, and the fries were nothing like these.

Service is OK, but uneven. I get that there are busy times, but even when it's not super busy, it can be a long time between waitress visits to the table. If it's busy it's also very loud, such that it's hard to have a conversation.

When the food came it was not fresh the bread was stale (Cuban sandwich). If I could give decimals...I'd rate lower. No offense...it's easy to find a sports bar that doesn't offend. Beer selection was definitely towards "Wisconsin usual". If one price of advice? The establishment was clean and the atmosphere was cool. BUT.. our waitress wasn't very good. We almost left because we hadn't been visited by the server. Suddenly she arrived and we placed our order. The cheese curds were very over cooked. Our drinks weren't filled until we flagged the waitress down. We had to go get our check after sitting for 15 min after asked for it. The bill wad given to us on one ticket instead of split like asked, a comment was made when the ticket was given that she thought she forgot to add a drink but wasn't going to worry about it. We asked for a split, she split it and then added the drink she'd "forgotten" at first. The sandwiches were good though.

I like the location and the atmosphere. The patio is nice, and with good weather the whole front of the restaurant opens to the outdoors. They offer lots of shuttles to brewers games, concerts, and festivals. The service was quick and friendly. The food is just okay. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the cheese curds. The beer is good, and I liked the bloody mary a lot (with a chaser!).

Ordered a Chipotle chicken wrap sub buffalo sauce. There was no buffalo sauce on the wrap or on the side. I called and the person who answered insisted that they put buffalo on the side, even though the ticket attached to the bag says sub buffalo and does not specify putting it on the side. Eat inside and get poor service….order delivery and the food is wrong/missing…they always blame the delivery driver and delivery app.

Just know going into it that if you’re dining there, you’ll be dealing with young arrogant servers that always seem annoyed at the thought of having to wait on you, get you refills, etc.

For example- Asked if I could get ‘no tomato’ on a wrap- eyeroll. We asked for another round of drinks when dinner arrived - eyeroll. We asked for to-go boxes and the check - eyeroll.

I'm going to do something I rarely do -- revise a restaurant review. I recently ripped the Milwaukee Brat House on Shorewood for poor service after the waitress took our order, but went home without turning it in to the kitchen. Our party of five waited about an hour before we were finally advised our food wasn't coming. Not surprisingly, I was pretty miffed, especially since dining at the Brat House was part of my daughter's birthday celebration.

The post-script is that I received a personal phone call from the General Manager, who apologized for the apparent breakdown in service while she was away. To her credit, she offered a sincere apology, explained that a shift change may have contributed to the problem, and promised to make it right on our next visit.

Mistakes can and do happen. I've made a few myself, and I'll concede that a hot temper may have influenced my earlier review. Our visit came immediately before a Milwaukee Brewers home game, so it's conceivable they were busier than usual. The poor service I wrote about was, in fact, an anomaly. I've always had good service before.

Setting the record straight, Milwaukee Brat House is a great place, it has a pleasant atmosphere, good (albeit somewhat pricey) brats, and convenient shuttle service to the stadium. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and give them a well deserved do-over.

It's not in my nature to complain, but I've never had such poor service! At my daughter's request, we went to celebrate her 24th birthday at the Brat House. We placed our food order with our "server, "Nicole W. at 4:30, and the five of us waited ... and waited ... and waited.

Finally, after 45 minutes, I went to inquire at the bar. I couldn't even get the wait staff to go back to the kitchen to inquire about our food. After another 20 minutes, I inquire again, and finally a young waiter wanders over to our tale informing us that Nicole apparently went home at the end of her shift without ever submitting our order! No apologies, no offer to comp the price of our drinks, no promise of a discount on our next visit. Nada.

Thanks, Milwaukee Brat House is for making this a memorable birthday. Guess when we'll be coming back. Never, that's when.

Ridiculous. Cranking out distorted house music through a blown speaker for all the outside patrons so no one could hear or speak. Not one person wanted to hear it, can't see why they think that's an attraction. If you're looking for a nice neighborhood bar on Milwaukee's east side, I wholeheartedly recommend Milwaukee Brat House.

This trendy, little bistro on the bustling corner of Oakland Avenue and Capitol Drive offers a casual atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining options, and an extensive menu of tasty entrees and appetizers at reasonable prices. My family and I dined there recently after a Milwaukee Brewers game. The bill for the four of us was just $67.00 including mixed drinks.

Speaking of the Brewers, Milwaukee Brat House is an excellent pregame meeting place with convenient, free shuttle service to the ballpark.

Neighborhood bar smartly runs shuttle busses to many local sporting events and concerts. Drinks they have that on lock great variety and prepared correctly. Food is not as reliable as the shuttle. Tried many of their dishes and consistently is not their strong point. Wings weren't fully cooked properly and not the first time that happened. I've experienced fries so overcooked youd need a knive to cut though them. Sausages are their strong suit stick with those. Brunch is kind of all over the place, the version of avacado toast and vegie burrito, a winner. The French toast with bacon trying way too hard. The brown sugar sap coatinf and food service maple type syrup disappointing.

I was not impressed with bratwurst. Couldn't taste sauerkraut, and the beer cheese soup was honestly not too my taste (too salty, its more of a sauce.) The potato salad was big letdown, just tasted like mayo only. Fries were the best part and that was not what I was there for. Maybe because I was takeout. Worst experience ever!! My family and I had just had a great time at the Art Museum and decided to Eat there.....bad idea, waitress forgot my grandsons food Completely!! To say nothing about the wait for appetizers almost half an hour, then I ordered a buffalo chicken salad and asked if the chicken was sauced, it came out Dry and no sauce on it at all! The chicken had raw on the tips and was dry, to say nothing of my other grandsons chicken dry as well, Bartenders were taking shots in back of the bar!
The waitress who sat is apparently got in trouble for someone else's order or something and they put her behind the bar, we also did Not get served all at once.

Truth, it's very clean. However I ordered a brat wrapped in bacon with pretzel bun . you have a choice for the side. One side. However it was 13.95 plus whatever total 15.95 I think too much. I had the Miltown because it is a featured brat and it did not disappoint. It left me wanting another one! My wife had the B.L.T. and thought it was just okay, the bacon was chewy and needed to be more crispy.

Overall, it was a good stop and I recommend! There is also a location in downtown Milwaukee.

Well we got seated relatively fast, to get waited on was quite another thing.
Once we ordered, food came fast, our cod was greasy, however we felt we best not send it back, we might not be so fortunate waiting for replacement. Since the fish was on top of the fries you can imagine how soggy with grease they were, almost to the point of not being edible.
Needless to say we will probably never be back. No one time shouldn't be the judge, but it not like they just opened up.
Makes you wonder what kind of crowd they're after that they need to post behavior rules for the patio.

I visited the Milwaukee brat house for the first time today for lunch. I had a simple bratwurst with sauerkraut and french fries. It was good. The service was excellent.

Hi me and my husband went here the food was so delicious we had fried fish and bake beans French fries coleslaw onion rings with ranch and the waiter name Austin was very nice friendly and perfessional.Very comfortable safe place,security was nice also, we will return.
