I'm from out of town and was recommended this place from the hotel I was staying at. I order the wings and wagyu burger. I really enjoyed the wings. The burger was okay, I wish I would have got a different option though. I also order a regular bloody mary and enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly.

We had never been to a milwaukee burger company before and decided to try it. Big mistake! The hostess was rude and short with us. We waited for a long time for our burgers. When the burgers finally came my burger was cold. The mushrooms were refrigerator cold. I took two bites of my burger only ro bite into a piece of glass! That's right glass in my hamburger! The manager came over and wasn't very apologetic and was short and kind of rude with us. They comped our entire bill which was the least they could do. I will never return to another milwaukee burger company. It was the worst experience I have had at a restaraunt hands down. The visit was on October 11 2025 at 630 pm just so whoever reads this knows who was working then.

Had the Turkey BLT wrap. Wrap was SO dry & fell apart and absolutely no sauce whatsoever. Asked for ranch and got charged .50 for a small cup. Chili was bland and was mostly beans.

We stumbled upon Milwaukee Burger Company Grill & Bar here in Wausau four days ago and were instantly hooked! The first time we went, I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and it was absolutely incredible — perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of flavor. I paired it with a bourbon old-fashioned that was one of the best I’ve had anywhere.

Our kids loved the build-your-own meals, which made it fun for them to choose exactly what they wanted (and let’s be honest, that’s a parent win right there). We were all so impressed that we came back again just four days later — the menu was too unique and tempting not to explore more. It’s such a refreshing change from the usual options around Antigo and the surrounding area.

Tonight’s visit started with their Bacon Bloody Mary, which honestly deserves its own round of applause. It was a meal in itself — complete with a mini BLT slider, deep-fried bacon, candied bacon, a regular bacon strip, plus cheese and other delicious toppings. It’s over-the-top in the best possible way!

We’ve had great food, fun drinks, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere both times. This place is definitely going to be one of our regular stops whenever we’re in Wausau. Highly recommend!

I've always liked coming here just for the chicken wings but after today I won't be doing that anymore.

I got the wings and I find 2 wings with full blown nearly 2 inch feathers on them. I told the waitress because hey the cooks or kitchen staff should know what they are serving. She immediately gets a manager. This lady comes out seemingly almost annoyed by me. I simply tell her what's going on and hey maybe let your cooks know to check the meat before preparation or before serving to a paying customer.

No no no, I was told by said manager that this is perfectly normal on a chicken wing. Lady, I've been eating and preparing chicken wings for 30 years. Feeding a customer feathers on their wings is not normal. She claimed that the wings are frozen and or covered in sauce and seasoning so they can't always see or inspect the product before cooking. What about before you serve it? Nope staff is too busy.

I wasn't even looking for a comped meal or anything maybe a simple apology or some kind of assurance kitchen staff would look at or inspect product or food would have been nice. After it was all said and done yeah my feather covered wings should have been comped. But hey who am I other than one customer against the hordes of others who eat at a large chain restaurant?

***** WOW! 5 stars! I did an Uber eats order to my hotel from this wonderful restaurant in Wausau, Wisconsin. The food was absolutely spectacular. I ordered the brat bites appetizer, the fair cheese curds, and the soft pretzel bites. Each came with a delicious dipping sauce. The sauces were as good as the food. I cannot comment on the restaurant, but I can tell you that the food was prepared Quickly, delivered quickly, and was still hot and very fresh when it arrived. The portions were generous...... So generous that l ended up having The same thing for lunch and again for dinner today. I'm leaving Wausau tomorrow, and I may never return, but I will forever dream of the delicious food from this Milwaukee burger company.

My husband and I both had hamburgers and frys with a milkshake! The burgers were amazing and I liked the frys. I haven't been here in a little over a year and wanted to update my review accordingly.
I am very disappointed that the portobello mushroom option has been taken off the menu, it was my favorite. I can also say that since I was last here it seems like the quantity and quality of the food has gone down and the price has gone up.
The cheese curd sampler is my go to selection for appetizers and it seemed like there were significantly less curds on the dish, it also came out at basically the same time as the meal. The burgers didn't seem as robust or delicious and the sweet potatoes tots were definitely not worth the extra $.

All that being said, the service was great as usual, the staff take the time to make sure everything is going well and the general atmosphere of the restaurant remains the same.

Did they recently redo their menu? I remember seeing the Do Gooder and the Defibrillator and some other very unique burgers that aren't there any longer. Looks like they narrowed down their specialty burgers in favor of more "smash" burgers. The burger selection feels less impressive overall. But the drinks and apetizers are great as ever.

I'm not generally someone who complains, but I think instead of going back to Milwaukee Burger I'll just rub table salt in my eyes instead. Sure, they had a really big group, but staring at us as they sat groups that came in after us was a bit much. And then after almost an hour into a 20 minute wait, they told us it was going to be a while unless we split up the family.

Yea, that sounds kinda "Karen", but when you point out a booth that will sit us all and the response is "We're not putting anymore people in that section" with a straight face by someone who had time to sit in back and put stickers on their face all while hearing its too hard for someone to walk an extra 7 feet so our family can eat together.... its kind of ridiculous.

It was only made a little worse by the fact that we regularly drive about 75 miles to get there and spend a good amount of money on our meals. So much so our regular waitress even greeted us personally as she walked by. Though I will admit, it was reassuring hearing the manager ask about our name on the list as we got ignored. Made me feel truly welcomed.....

Fair to say I won't be stopping by anymore. Bummer.......

Big disappointment in service today.
Took 15 min. to get water. An extra 10-12 min to get our cocktail that was actually delivered by the bartender because she got tired of seeing it at the server station. I had to remind our server about the cup of chili that I was waiting for before the food came, so she then brought it out and it was a bowl.
When the food finally arrived, the order was incorrect. I found the waitress by the bar to give her the banana pepper burger that I didn’t order and then waited another 15 minutes for my correct order.
The manager discounted the “bowl” of chili that I didn’t order.
The restaurant was not busy, so I was a little confused on all the mishaps.
Not looking for white glove service, but perhaps a little more attention to detail.

Stopped in for dinner on a Sunday night. The place was not too busy. My son and were seated right away. We ordered traditional cheese curds for an appetizer. They were huge! We each had a burger. My son ordered the jalapeno and smoked cheddar and I ordered the hickory cheddar. Both were outstanding. The jalapeno had sliced fresh jalapeno, the hickory cheddar had smoky bbq sauce and shoestring onions. We would definitely recommend.
