Stopped in on a time crunch. I don’t live over here so it was random. Small buffet but very fresh and delicious selections. Dim sum. Sushi. Your basic American Chinese dishes. All well done. Not the best, but better than anything you’d get at a grocery store or take out place. This is the best take out quality Chinese I’ve had in Appleton. Dong po is better overall but significantly more expensive. Clean, appears to be family run, very attentive and fresh. I was so impressed I had to hop on and write a review while I’m here. Inflation has made eating out feel like a cash grab but this is the first time I’ve felt I got a great value and great food in a while!

As a vegetarian, I am able to get a full, delicious plate of food with multiple options. This is the only place I would call my regular spot to eat; I love the atmosphere! The food is great, always very tasty! The service is always amazing! My favorite spot to come for lunch! Very affordable, you can get multiple options for what you would normally spend on one main dish. I love their variety :) They also have some sushi included in the buffet; one of the sushi pieces offered is vegetable based.

5 stars across the board. Delicious and highly affordable. Very friendly when walking in. I ordered sweet and sour chicken combination plate and added a large egg drop soup. Having duck sauce after living in several states where most places didn't have it was awesome too. I will be getting food from here at least once a week.

Came here for the first time based on Google reviews and this place does not disappoint! It's a small buffet but still almost 30 different dishes, about 10 different sushi rolls and everything I tasted was delicious! Will happily come here again and again! The peanut butter chicken was mentioned in several reviews and now I get why - it’s fabulous!

Very small buffet but has most typical offerings you'd expect from a Chinese buffet. Staff was friendly and attentive, made sure we had drink refills promptly. Crab rangoons were very tasty. Egg roll was a bit heavy on the pepper. Lo mein had a bit more "tomato" flavor than I would expect from a lo mein. Everything else was good and as expected. Good price for an adult buffet, but we were also charged $6 for our 19-month-old (didn't see child pricing posted anywhere).

This is your classic Chinese buffet, a small one, but the quality of food is great. The couple that owns this restaurant takes pride in their business and it shows. The husband takes care of the front, while the wife handles the back.

Drinks are always filled, food is always fresh and hot. The biggest hit here is absolutely the peanut chicken, it’s what keeps me coming back. But everything else is right up there in taste too. The wife is a very nice lady, she frequently chats with guests and makes it a welcoming experience.

My family and I went to Min Du Buffet for the first time for dinner. It was delicious! The flavor of everything was so good. My husband especially loved the peanut butter chicken and the egg rolls. Decided to stop in to Min Du for lunch. It was my first time trying this place out so I was prepared for anything. When I arrived, I was immediately seated, and promptly asked what I wanted to drink.

The buffet offered a small selection of entrees, fruit, 2 soups, a cookie, rice, shumai, noodles, and a small selection of sushi (unlabeled). I started to make my plate, however, I soon realized most of the food options were not stocked, and it seemed like most of what was out had been sitting for a while. Throughout the time I was there, I had to make multiple trips to the counter ever time that I saw they brought something out, due to the fact that a lot of what should’ve been there— wasn’t. Maybe I had come in after a huge rush, but the place was very small and it didn't seem too busy.

Every time I would go up, I would return and my plate would be gone. I assumed that the staff had taken it away. Eventually, after about my 5th time needing to go back up to the buffet, a waiter came up to me and asked me if something was wrong. I was a little shocked because I hadn’t made any implication that I had an issue. I proceeded to say no, and he then commented about how I kept going up for more, as if it was not something I should be doing. (I would finish everything on my plate before going up for more).

He then very promptly walked into the kitchen and didn’t return for the rest of my meal. I honestly was shocked that he had asked me this, as I assumed the buffet was all you can eat. Perhaps this assumption was wrong.

When I checked out, I also was charged the dinner price, which was only a dollar more, so I didn’t pay much attention to it until I realized after the fact that I paid what I had been charged. I arrived at 1:15 pm and stayed till about 1:50. Their dinner/lunch price and times were not labeled so maybe their dinner price started at 1:00, but I think that would be a very early time to start.

Overall, not a very good experience. The food was just ok, cooked thoroughly, but some options lacked flavour and others were spicy and weren’t labeled as such.

The smallest buffet I have ever been to - Min du Buffet.
A small selection of items offered but delicious taste.
Especially loved the dumplings/dim sum as you can see from my plate.
They have peanut butter chiken and kung pao chicken which were tasty too.
I also enjoyed the smooth tasting crab legs, very fresh.

The restaurant was almost full on a Sunday afternoon but the owners ensured that dishes were promptly filled. Speaking of the owners, how joyful they are, the lady with her high five 🙌.

I just wish the desert area would have more variety- It had fruits and a cookie.

However, for $25 for 2 people, this buffet is a steal with great food in Appleton

I’ve been going to Min Du for years. It is the most affordable buffet in the area. Though small, there are many diverse options including sushi and some American fare for kids. I LOVE their peanut butter chicken, beans, and the dumplings. It’s cute and simple and fast and delicious! The staff is amazing and attentive. There is one server in particular who is so friendly and happy and she always makes me smile. Min Du is awesome, you should go there.

Min Du Buffet is hands down the BEST Chinese buffet in the Fox Valley. They are very reasonably priced, and the family/friendly atmosphere is awesome. I have never had a crab Rangoon better than Min Du. I could go here and eat just those. It's on the smaller side buffet and seating wise, but you know you're constantly getting fresh food! Highly recommend!

I am so surprised at the five star reviews. The people were really nice, but that was it. The food was not good. I literally spit the egg roll out of my mouth. I don’t understand how something could be so bad. We only went there because of all the good reviews.it’s hard to say that they were just having an off night. This was not good. I advise you to not try the sushi. Hubby said general sao chicken was bland. Veggie lo mein looked weird. Almost like it had a tomato sauce on it. There is some kind of beef dish that had broccoli out of a whole container of broccoli. I saw about five pieces of beef. We were very disappointed in this meal.

When I dine in, I eat their sushi, crab rangoons, dumplings, dim sum, jalapeño potatoes, and peanut butter chicken. When I order takeout, I eat their Eel and Cucumber Maki, California Maki, Spicy Crab Maki, and Masago!

The owners are also super friendly! They always greet me with a smile and make me feel so welcomed. I highly recommend eating here!

I dined here recently. There seemed to be only three people running the place but it's small. Although they looked short on staff service was VERY friendly and fast and everything got done in a timely manner (no line at the register, tables cleaned right away after customers left, etc.). Although food selection is small, the flavors make up for it. One or two for selections were on the saltier side(green beans) but I personally didn't mind all that much. Also, there were bins of dirty dishes ON THE FLOOR leading to the back, like when they collect the plates from the tables with napkins and everything you throw away and put them in the gray rectangular plastic bins, about 6 or 7 gray bins stacked on top of each other. I've never seen that EVER so it left an impression lol. Overall, for the price and taste and friendly service, I would go back.

It must have been an off day for their food because wr have eaten here before and really enjoyed the food. This time we found that several of the chicken offerings were so overcooked that it was very dry and hard to it. The rice was also very dry and hard. Unless it was drowned in sauce, soup, or gravy, it was hard to enjoy eating. We were there to eat around 12:30 pm. I have never posted a restaurant review before but I found my experience here so awful that I feel like I need to write this. My boyfriend and I saw so many amazing reviews for this place and we decided to check it out while we were in town. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by friendly staff. I could tell this was a small, family owned restaurant and felt that I was in a comfortable atmosphere. Much to our shock and horror, the food was barely edible. The chicken was like plywood and I was unable to chew through it, the hot and sour soup was bitter, and to top it off I ate a dumpling that (literally) made me gag. We tried everything at the buffet and the only thing we could stomach was the egg drop soup. My boyfriend and I walked out of that restaurant lightheaded and sick to our stomachs with what we think is food poisoning. It breaks my heart to write such a poor review for a small family business but please DO NOT go here.

If you enjoy excellent Chinese food and buffets, then you really should try Min Du Buffet. This was a recommendation from a coworker and now I've been telling anyone who will listen about the best Chinese buffet in the Fox Valley. The price is excellent. The food is really well done, the way they accomplish this over other Chinese buffets is they have a smaller selection of food but higher quality ingredients and they rotate the dishes more. So don't go in expecting 50-75 different items it's more like 20-30. But I highly recommend Min Du Buffet for your Chinese buffet. You won't regret it!

Wow!! We were immediately greeted by a very happy and bubbly woman who sat us right away and took drink orders.

This is one of those small, obviously family run, Chinese places that has incredible food. We all ate more than we should have, but the food was so good we couldn't stop.

We were also introduced to sushi rolls with bananas in them. We have traveled quite a bit over the years, and eaten in a lot of Chinese places....but have never had sushi rolls with bananas in them. Holy buckets were they good!!

So, if you are ever looking for a nice, little, happy Chinese buffet when in Appleton....this is the place to go....and look for the sushi rolls with the bananas. You will never look at sushi the same way again.

Super nice service and great little buffet, good flavors some Spicy- good variety. Sign outside is never lit up but thy are open and it is good for 8.99 lunch or 10.99 dinner.

Sooo good!! Just got takeout for the first time here and everything is a hit! I got the Japanese Shu Mai, Crab Rangoons and Shrimp Mei Fun. Absolutely love the sauce that came with the Shu Mai! The staff was also really helpful and friendly.

I am confused on what people see on the Buffet I didn’t like anything I’m sorry chicken look like it was from a bag frozen everything’s too sweet not for me. I paid $11 and probably 3 dollars worth of food.

The flavors, service, and food are quite wonderful here...

Only 4 stars since some of the meats were kinda tough to chew... Kinda like slightly tender beef jerky. Everything else was GREAT though and will definitely be back.

Decided to try this place out after discovering all Indian places in Appleton and Greenbay area won't do lunch buffets on weekends...

Their loss. Meanwhile, Min Du is hosting a quality buffet with up beat spirit in their staff.

HIGHLY Recommend most food items. Big fan of their Hot & Sour Soup, teriyaki chicken, dim sum, and "Japanese style fried dumpling." The sushi is also of good quality for a local buffet.

I ate here a couple of weeks ago. The cashier was also the host. He was very nice though. The buffet was very small and the only thing good was the peanut butter chicken. The food looked old and mushy. Fresh food took way too long to be brought out. I won't go back.
