Came here with a couple of friends visiting here up north. Came in and were waiting and were never greeted. Had called before hand and asked if there was a wait to sit at the rooftop and the woman over the phone stated no wait. We get up to the rooftop and the same woman stated there is a 20-30 minute wait. So since we didn’t want to wait cause we were hungry we went inside and sat at the bar. Our server was this bigger girl I think names Kaylee by the name on the receipt. She didn’t greet us. I ordered the brisket tacos and as I was telling her I wanted the pico on the side she legit walked away from me. Nevertheless our food came out, the tacos were cold, of course there was pico in my tacos, and the brisket was saltier than the Atlantic. My friends nachos barely had any meat and more lettuce than a Cesar salad after he asked for no lettuce. I’m just disappointed overall. Service and food needs to be better.

Came with a larger group and were seated almost right away on a busy Saturday. The atmosphere was upbeat and refreshing after a day out on the boat. Our server was attentive and checked in on us several times, which is great. We ordered a variety of menu items, which overall was well liked. They have a large drink menu, as well. I had ordered wings, but some of them had a very chewy/soggy middle, which turned me away from wanting to eat the rest of my meal. I was really hoping for a better experience at Minocqua Yacht Club, but unfortunately it fell short in several ways. The service was extremely slow, we waited far too long for simple items like tacos and pre-made chips. The tacos were just okay, but the chips were overly salty to the point of being almost inedible.
We ordered an appetizer that was very small for the price and also took too long to arrive. Menus weren’t on the table, so we had to ask for both the food and drink menus, which delayed everything even more.
Worst of all, there were flies everywhere, landing on my body and constantly trying to land on our food. This really ruined the overall experience. The location has potential, but the service and cleanliness needs improvement.

Wow. The new upstairs outdoor seating area is a major upgrade. Watch out if it rains. No umbrellas. Food is decent (your average bar food), service was surprisingly good with few wait staff. Parking is a nightmare but if you’re patient, it seems like there are people coming and going often. Inside lacks a bit but the new footprint is incredible and allows for a unique experience. Blows the Boathouse away for ambiance. Definitely a huge plus for Minocqua.

Update for the remodel:

Atmosphere: We tried the upper deck nearest the road. Gives a good view of the lake, but there is traffic noise. However, dining outside is always nice.

Service: Like everywhere up here, they are limited on staffing. Our greeting when walking in was less than ideal, but we got where we needed. Were told to seat ourselves when we got to the deck.

Food: I will say that the brisket tacos were a disappointment. They had a "meh" flavor, not even a smokey aire to them and no other discernable seasoning. The pico d'Gallo was decent. It wouldn't be my first choice next time, probably not my 10th either. Nashville chicken (grilled) was better, though the chips with the meal seemed to have been made elsewhere.

Cleanliness is going to be problematic when you8x the outdoors with a bit of a breeze and napkins. But it seems like there were more than a few loose napkins that needed cleaning up. The tables are clean and staff busses the tables as people leave so that is not a factor.

Finally able to try out the new remodel on a Sunday afternoon and we were definitely disappointed. Downstairs area looked nice. Bathrooms had overflowing garbage. I did appreciate the changing table in the women's bathroom. My husband has a gluten allergy and there were not many options on the menu that he could have. We both ordered salads. Came with cheap iceberg lettuce, meat, and dressing. My chicken and his fish were cooked well. But for a main meal it was not a very big salad. Sat upstairs by the rooftop bar. View was beautiful. But looking around it was very dirty! Food all over the floor. Would come back for the view of the water and the drink but not for food or atmosphere. Liked it better when it had northwoods feel not waterfront city vibe.

Finally able to try the "newly designed" Minocqua Yacht Club on a Sunday afternoon. Parking has always been an issue but we were able to park in the small parking lot. We entered the lower level and wow what an improvement! Beautiful bar and window views to lake. We wanted to sit upstairs which is the "draw" but it was confusing who to "check in" with. No hostess on lower level so I met with a gal behind the bar who directed us upstairs and indicated a hostess would be up there. Up the long stairs and once up top no hostess but a lot of staff around the bar. No one came to greet us. A young girl bringing food up those long stairs said go ahead and take a table someone would be over to serve us. Sounded strange but us and other groups did just that. We sat un-greeted for quite some time being looked at by staff as if we violated some rule. One of my group went to the bar to order drinks and finally a server who had stared at us came over and asked if we had been helped. We explained non hostess, direction from other employee and apologized for any mishap. Server said she would take care of us even though it obviously was her table to begin with. Food and drinks were very good. Outdoor seating with view of lake was very good but highway noise a bit loud of course. The mishap will not deter from returning. One thing I can't believe is an elevator wasn't put in the plans not only for staff that has to walk up long stairs with full trays of food or for the older customers to enjoy upper deck seating.

Honestly for all the hype I expected more. They just did a remodel, so it's pretty nice. But summer gets super packed with people- and parking spots are low: best to boat or walk. And they might have been short staffed because we had a long wait to order,- but our waitress Bella did an INCREDIBLE job keeping up with all the people coming in and orders and basically served everyone on the rooftop.

Food was also tasty and filling - but pretty basic. I had a normal cheeseburger, and they followed my special order with sauteed onions. Fries were as crunchy as the chips, even though you pay extra for fries? It was kind of disappointing/not what I was expecting.

But the appetizers: cheese curds and Spinach artichoke dip were Amazing!! So yummy, we cleaned the bowl.

I was a bit disappointed with this place. Only the back patio was dog friendly, which only had 4 tables. When we arrived there was standing room only so we asked if we could order food at that spot as we couldn't be anywhere else with our dog. They did not allow us to order at that table and seemed very confused. Eventually a table opened up. It took a long while to get our order in. The menu was very limited and very basic options for something calming itself a yacht club (burgers and sandwiches). They were out of a lot of food items including cheese curds. We ended up just ordering drinks at the bar. The bartender was very friendly. When we eventually got our food it was very meh. The burgers were pre-cooked patties that were under seasoned. The ribeye sandwich was also very bland. I would not recommend coming back there are a lot of better places in Minocqua.

Huge disappointment. Got a ribeye sandwich. Ordered medium well but it looked raw. Steak did not looked grilled. Taste and texture was as if it was boiled. Was rubbery and had much fat I could not chew / eat half of it. Fries were stale and hard as if they had been sitting out. Gf got tacos and chips. Tacos were ok but chips were akin to the cheap ones from a bag at the store. ALSO, EVERY SINGLE THING WAS COLD (fries, sandwich, tacos, chips, etc.)

Nice lunch at the Minocqua Yacht Club. The atmosphere on the rooftop was great, and Alyssa, our waitress, was fantastic. Wife's Louisiana grilled chicken was hot and tasty. Initially, I was leaning towards a 3-star rating because my brisket was cold and the tacos were (very small, see pic) smaller than expected for $16. What a gem added to the restaurant scene in Minocqua! We drove by and thought it looked fun so we turned around to go back and I'm glad we did! You seat yourself, so we went upstairs to the bar/patio. It was a great view of the lake and good vibes with the music and atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent. She was quick, attentive and answered all of our questions well about the menu. We got the wonton appetizer which was delicious and a couple drafts beers to start. We both ordered tacos - my husband got the Brisket and I got the shrimp. And then we shared them. Wow, I highly recommend! They were both delicious, but my preference was the shrimp. No complaints. We've been to the Yacht Club many times over the past seven years, but never for food or drink. We always just stopped to fill up our pontoon with gasoline. Now that the Yacht Club is a completely new venue, we stopped on back-to-back afternoons for apps and drinks. We sat outside on two beautiful days and enjoyed one of the best views Minocqua has to offer. The food was above average for a tavern, the service was good, and we both enjoyed delicious Rum Runners. It's been raining most of the day today otherwise we'd be back for our third day in a row.

It was busy but there was probably 5 or 6 tables open yet, certainly not packed. We sat down and waited for 5 minutes while we watched servers/workers hang out and shoot the breeze behind the bar. Then another group of four walked in and stood in front of our table. A server came up to them and gave them menus and had them pick a table right behind us. We still waited hoping to be served...

Once the server walked by our table and took their order it was clear no one was going to wait on us. At this point we had been sitting for around 10 minutes. I went to the bar and asked for food menus so we could serve ourselves. Once I got my wife's order I went back up to the bar to order but was then told you weren't serving fish that day. So we gave up, left and walked by the group of workers still talking shop at the back of the bar too busy to wait on us.

The place looks great and the upstairs has a really great vibe and view. I'm sure it was just a one-off, bad experience but pretty annoying to sit there while others who come in after you get served.

I can’t believe they serve crab dip with nachos. Makes no sense. Poor selection of beers. Bloody Mary in an Old Fashion glass! Burger was terrible. View, however was amazing.

Worst meal we’ve had since being here. The best part of the meal was the starters cheese curds and onion strings, the potato salad was ok. The black and blue burger was over cooked and very greasy, the chicken sandwich was not a chicken breast it was more like a chicken patty, the French fries were flat and over cooked more like a chip, they had no lids for the soda cups to take away, I got charged for a soda refill and lastly communication was a challenge with the waiter Camilo. Needless to say we won’t patronize this establishment on our future visits.

A very nice place to hookup your boat/jet ski or pontoon to grab a bite to eat or drink.. Or drive/ park instead. They serve good bloody marys and beer, appetizers and food. There's inside dining or sit outside and take in the view.

Love, love, love the live music on Sundays!! Energetic and attentive wait staff with dockside service. Could use one or two healthy food options. Bar needs to stock some better call brands. Otherwise, a never miss stop on our weekend cruising!
