My new favorite barbecue place. Stopped in for my first time and they gave me a free strawberry shortcake. moist brisket sandwich is terrific. If you support our First Responders especially our Fallen Heroes of 911, THIS is the place to be!! Not only does the place honor our First Responders but the food is beyond delicious, each bite I took I think I died & went to heaven, from their soft & moist corn bread to their juicy & tender meat, you don't even need BBQ Sauce for it but it does add a nice touch of more flavor depending on which BBQ sauce you get. This place is awesome. The food is best BBQ and sides, I think in the area hands down. The service is outstanding, and the decoration on the wall that honors all military and public service workers is touching. I had the 3 meat combo moist brisket cooked to perfection, jalapeño sausage with cheese OMG, and seasonal huge grilled shrimp to die for. You get 2 sides, which I had Maggie's Mac and cheese and baked beans with brisket and cornbread. The sides are made from scratch, and you can tell there's nothing but love put into the overall menu. I'll be going back regularly. There are, I think, 9 different sauces to choose from, and if you're not sure what you like, they give you a couple of each with your order. My favorite was the smoky mountain and Memphis belle.

Been a customer to the brand for years. I have seen management change a several times. The food and quality of service has been the best it’s ever been. I love the Turkey, Ribs and the newest side of cucumber tomato salad was stellar. The new store manager is so very kind and has a true servants heart from talking with her a couple times. Been a customer for years and seen upper management change over several times. The food and quality of service has been inconsistent. I used to love the Turkey but it hasn't been good in a while. 1st off im a BBQ snob. I was greeted by a very friendly young man who after I said I had never been there came around from behind the counter and explained the menu. I ordered brisket, pulled pork and 3 ribs. Sides were COLD slaw and Mac and cheese. The good. Ribs were 🔥!! On point fall off the bone. If you want competition ribs look elsewhere. Mac and cheese was really good . All meats seemed to be sauce less and you add your own after. THANKS FOR THAT. Let the meat flavor stand on its own. The bad[if you can call it that] personal preference. Pulled pork was very stringy. I prefer a bigger chunky style pulled pork. It was tasty still tasty. COLD slaw...eh. I prefer a more apple cider taste but was OK. Corn bread...I prefer a more honey flavor profile but was good average cornbread. The banana pudding was a nice finish. The first time I came here, I told the employee I was not sure what I should get, they gave me some recommendations and a free BBQ meal on my next visit since I was new! Every time I have been here it has been a wonderful experience. My standard meal is the meat market moist brisket and then a chicken sandwich with fries. The BBQ ribs, and pull pork are also really good. The employees are really nice, the food is consistently delicious, and the support for our military / police is amazing. When ever I need some BBQ this is the place I go. I do wish it was cheaper, but you pay for really good quality.

We paid $75 for some fat that was supposed to be brisket, dry ribs and mediocre Mac & cheese.. My Son’s brisket was literally ALL fat. I nodded, already feeling the pull of destiny. I let him choose the rest—green beans, mac and cheese, and cornbread, which he wisely advised should be consumed with an *excessive* amount of butter. Needed a quick lunch.. so decided to give Mission BBQ a chance (typically BBQ is quick). I had the black plate special-8oz NY strip smoked then seared, topped with garlic butter. Steak was priced at 13.99 so very reasonable. My only wish is it was thicker (to allow for more smoke flavor). Garlic butter was very flavorful and made for a great steak topping.

I also tried the Jalepeno cheddar sausage. 10/10

Sauces-6+ sauces to choose from. All of them based on a different BBQ region. Typically one or two house sauces are bad.. but not here!

Bonus is they were giving out samples of the original sausage when we arrived!

I only got to try the cheesy potato side (reminded me of at home cooking). Cheesy and delicious.

Could tell the fries were fresh and made earlier that day. Very kind to veterans. They offer free sandwich cards, ALOT. They also look out for the local first responders and essential workers. If you want you some bbq that’s fresher than a newborns bottom and hotter than 2 fleas in a forrest fire, then get up off your mothers couch and grab your kids, cousins, wives…the cousin that is your wife… and get on down to that mission in Kenosha. Ribs flake apart like fish, yet are still dry. Outsides like leather. Clearly reheated. Brisket was even worse, extremely dry and tough, had to take tiny bites to get it down. Mac and cheese was average, at best. I'd been there before so my expectations weren't high, just brought my daughter because she likes Ribs. $40 for 2 plates of bad food is crazy work. I guess if you like to look at decorations, it's a good place. A 4.5 rating makes me sad for humanity. Not looking for a free meal or coupon, don't worry. Wish I would've eaten at the restaurant so I coulda got it replaced though.

I’ve been coming to this location for a while now. Everything is fantastic always at this location. Staff is so infectiously warm and friendly that I feel bad when I say no to the samples. I’ve had to reorder more food at this location multiple times. It’s just a very comfortable environment with great food it can’t get any better than that. I very strongly dislike standing for the national anthem in the middle of my meal and that’s normally the first thing that happens if you go there early when it opens. We chose Mission BBQ as our wedding caterer, and while the overall experience had its ups and downs, we were ultimately pleased with the outcome.
The food tasting was great. They walked us through each of the meats, sides, and sauces, making it easy to select our menu. However, the communication throughout the planning process was poor, which almost made us reconsider our decision. The high turnover at the company made it challenging to plan, as we often had to re-explain our preferences and requirements to new staff members.
On the wedding day, I was genuinely relieved when they pulled up, as I had been worried they might not show up. The cost was reasonable for a wedding, which was a significant plus. The serving staff were kind and did a good job, but there was a hiccup when they almost left before cutting and serving our wedding cake. My husband had to track them down as they were packing up the van to remind them about the cake.
Despite these issues, the food was good, and our guests were impressed. Overall, while the planning process was stressful, the quality of the food and the cost-effectiveness made it a worthwhile choice.

Food is always fresh and hot! This restaurant is above a 5 star. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I have been here a few times now, and they never disappoint. I did just find out that you can get samples, and they have a kids menu. (The kid's menu isn't displayed anywhere, so you have to ask for it) highly recommend!!!

First time trying the Kenosha Location.
We tried the three meat sampler of pulled chicken, turkey and brisket. Salmon is my favorite fish so I needed to try that also. Giant portion and seasoned well. All was well cooked, juicy and delicious. The Mac and Cheese was good. We had to buy a bottle of the Smokey Mountain sauce due to its deliciousness. The staff were friendly and service is quick. The food was so good we were thinking about having our Thanksgiving meal catered.

Went with my grandmother, the atmosphere was pleasant and very clean. The service was good. The only reason I took a star away from service was it got quite annoying when having a conversation as a sit down quest with my grandmother, was the staff literally yelling a welcome across the place to every patron that entered. It is a nice guestire but hard when your trying to hold a conversation. Now onto the food. It was pricey for the portion size recieved. My grandma had a pulled chicken sandwich. The chicken was very dry and some pieces almost leather tough and it wasn't very warm and served on an ice cold bun. I had a meat sampler and you'd thing getting 3 smaller portions of meat for 21 dollars it would come with a side but nope that's seperate. The brisket I had was very good and tender. My pulled pork was good although not very warm. And I had the jalapeño cheddar sausage wich had good flavor but 0 spice as I was anticipating (the whole reason I wanted to go there was for some spicy sausage . It wasn't at all, my wife whom is 1 level above thinking mayonnaise was spicy would easily be able to eat it.) The bbq sauces were great. Again the place was very clean. The cornbread was also extremely dry and served cold wich is wierd. All in all I may be back I may not I'm going down the road next time to dickies bbq to see wich is a better bang for the buck and where the quality lays.

I ordered the brisket sandwich and they asked if I wanted it moist or lean. I told her that I wanted moist. But that was the driest beef brisket sandwich I have ever had. As far as service there is none. You order from a register and go pick it up like any other fast food restaurant. That's like critiquing the service at McDonald's. I do not finally returning because there was nothing that would pull me back.

The meat was awesome. The portions were very small. We were mostly self-serve with plastic silverware and plastic cups and atreya a metal tray to eat on with a piece of Wax paper that they put the food over and there are no waiters or waitresses. It was a quick experience. There was not a whole lot to eat there but food I do have to say was good though but very pricey for small portion. It was nice atmosphere, quiet patriotic lots of stuff on the walls to look at. Very entertaining

Stopped by for the first time today after heading back home from a Wisconsin trip with my family and the BBQ was superb (Used to live in TN too!), but what really made it for me today was the service from the folks here, in particular, Kat! She was extremely kind to my whole family and 2 kids, and provided table service that most full service restaurants should! (This is a counter service restaurant- seriously above and beyond). 110% would recommend.

I ordered the turkey sandwich, it was extremely moist, smoky,I had their new Broccoli Slaw and and the slaw was very, very good as was the turkey. I would absolutely have both again. The staff was very friendly, greeted us both on the way in as well as on the way out with a smile and a wave!

Some of the best darn BBQ I've ever had!! I barely eat and was a carnivore heaven monster while scarfing down tender brisket, pulled pork, and OMG a must try is the jalapeño cheese sausage. Hardly no heat yet bursting with flavor! That meat was literally the best I've ever had. It's hard not to find one that's not dry on one or more meats...nothing was dry or soaked...just plain simply scrumptious! Cudos to the chef/chefs for darn sure! Cornbread was delish as well! As sauce suggestion I got the Smokey Mountain (sweet and smokey) and KC original (no bite but has spice) and mix em!!!! Parfectooooo
