I can’t believe I have never to MJ’s before, yes it is off the beaten path, but it has to be right up with the best meal at supper club I have ever had. My wife and I try to get to a supper club weekly and we have a pretty solid rotation that we hit, and we will differentially be adding this to our regular rotation. And it’s only a minute drive!

Prime rib was amazing, well seasoned and much bigger cut than I was anticipating, and the potato cakes should be a meal all on their own!

Worst place I've been in awhile! The waitress didn't come to our table to see if we needed drinks and the place was empty. We had to go up to bar to get our drinks and had to ask to have our waters filled ,very very disrespectful in my opinion. Our food sucked but out of respect for the restaurant we decided not to make a big deal out of it at the time, but I think I should have because the food really sucks and over priced.

Just went there tonight for our 4 family members birthdays. Haven't been there in a while. Everything about it was top notch. The steaks were perfectly cooked and tasted great. Salad bar was very good. Wait staff was on top of everything and nice. Definitely recommend it here.

Update. June 2024. Just went there again after not going for quite a while. The food prices are insane. Everything is from 28 dollars on up. Most things you would want are 30 + we had a group of 6. We looked at the menus and got up and left.

My husband and I came across MJs on a Saturday afternoon motorcycle ride. Initially we had stopped at a place in Hortonville for dinner, but the service was terrible and we never had our order taken so we left. In search of a place for dinner, we arrived at MJs. The backyard bar was pretty busy, but inside was not. We had a couple drinks at the bar where the bartender was very friendly. Our waitress (I believe her name was Shay) was awesome! She was super sweet and very attentive to our table. I had the Coconut Shrimp with the potato cakes and my husband ordered a 12 oz steak. The soup/salad bar had a lot of options and was very fresh. I thought the prices were reasonable, food was great and service was amazing! We will DEFINITELY be back :)

Ordered 2 of the specials 6oz.tenderloin and 8oz lobster. The lobster was not fully cooked and the steak was supposed to be medium and it was medium rare. Told the waitress when she came over about the lobster and she took the lobster back to the kitchen when it came back out was just warmed up ended up not eating the lobster and was very disappointed especially since I was told how good they were. As for the steak we finished it because we were very hungry. When I went to pay the bill and was asked how everything was I said how disappointed I was all she said was oh. I can say for sure I'll won't be back there again

We have been going here for over a year, pretty regularly. Excellent food each time. The ribs are amazing. Tenderloin tips are great.. delicious and huge portions.

On Sundays they no longer have the salad bar, and should offer rolls, or something, but food was still tasty. Highly recommend!

We went out for a "good steak dinner" last Saturday for my birthday. I ordered the Prime Rib. It was dry and tasteless. The seafood soup was bland. The prime rib soup was dry. (A dry soup? Yep. Not sure how that works.) The waitress was nice, but she served our dinner before we could even finish the salad from the (very nicely done) salad bar. She forgot to get me another cocktail. My wife's tenderloin was well done when she ordered it medium. My son's tenderloin was unevenly cooked, parts being fine, but mostly over cooked. Even the Garlic Mashed potatoes had little to no garlic flavor. Overall, a disappointing dining experience. For the price, I would not go again. My mother in law's fish was good, according to her.

Small super club with top notch service. We. Arrived early & had a cocktail in the bar & then seated in dining room right away.
They have a salad bar with many choices to make a salad, also 2 types of soup, bread & assorted crackers. We ordered king cut prime rib medium rare and it was perfectly prepared, rib eye & the seafood platter. Ribeye was very flavorful & the seafood platter was average. The servings are large and the food was good. I would return definitely for their steaks.

Tonight we thought that we would try MJ's instead of going to Black Otter Supper Club. It was not a great experience for us. MJ's is very small. When the waitress approached us we asked about the prime rib and she said "he only cooks 2 so it's good you're hear early because we're usually out by 6 pm." ????why? Being a supper club with prime rib as the Saturday night special would you prepare so little? I ended up getting the t-bone and she said "We only have 3 of those tonight" what???? What kind of a "supper club" prepares so little on Saturday night....geez! The salad bar is very small and has little to offer. It's about one quarter of the size of Black Otter's. The prices are higher and my t-bone was over cooked and had NO flavor or seasoning what so ever. High prices, low quality food....service was rushing us to finish and leave. When you go to a supper club you want to have an enjoyable relaxing evening with good food. No luck there. Bathroom stall had broken lock on door. My friend had to try to hold the stall door shut while using the facilities. A real classy joint. Very disappointed. Save your self the disappointment and go to Black Otter ...it's more than worth the wait.

Since moving to the area in 2019, I've been looking for the best supper club and MJ's is on the top of the list. From walking in to leaving, everyone was very nice and respectful. The bartenders treated you like family and come hungry as the food comes in large portions but able to take it home. We waited 2 hours to eat but it paid off in the end. The Friday fish fry's are delicious and will come again!

We drove to MJ’s from antigo so worth it. The entire evening was enjoyable. The menu choices, drinks, appetizers and entrees were all impressive. The food was beautifully prepared, it was delicious and done to perfection. The drinks were excellent. The ambiance couldn't have been better. Black Otter was absolutely packed at 415 so we stumbled upon MJ's and gave them a shot. Atmosphere was friendly, much quieter than Otter. Didn't have to fight to get to the bar 🙂 Prime rib had an interesting flavor, couldn't put our finger on it but definitely not a standard prime rib rub. A little sweet almost, just not our style. Ribeye was flavorless except one area that was heavily salted. Tenderloin filet was absolutely delicious. Ribs were excellent as well. Garlic mashed potatoes were flavorful but very dry. Potato cakes were excellent. No drink service at table and that was fine but hard to get water glass refilled also. All in all it was still a good experience.

Terrific fresh and hot food in the dining room. The walleye was lightly breaded and flaky inside. The potato cakes are a house specialty and worth trying. Generous portions and a nice accompanying salad bar. This is a friendly traditional style supper club with attentive bartenders and a large outdoor shed and bar with indoor and outdoor seating.
