Decided to try something new from a local place and landed here. Ordered from door dash. Wanted chicken fried steak with a side salad. What i got was beer battered cod that was bland and watery, beating falling off and mushy, burned toast and hasbrowns instead of mashed potatoes. WORST place I have ever eaten from. This place is absolutely wonderous! My close friend is a Hostess here and she is a wonderful one, and not just to me. Just about all of the workers are great! I have been coming to this restaurant for years. The food and service was always wonderful. The last time I went in I noticed the usual server was not there. The one who said "for sure" to everything I ordered. I was greeted by a tall young woman who had a hard time hearing me.
I ordered a "Mint Latte". She let me know that it would take a few minutes to make. I told her that was fine. What she brought out was a mug filled with cold coffee creamer and whipped cream on top. I am not sure why it takes a few minutes to make that?? She later brought out the coffee and offered to bring out a cup of coffee so I could mix the two myself.
She bought out the entree and thin burnt pancakes. When pancakes look burnt, they taste burnt even with syrup added. I used to make pancakes for a living. I would never have served these. When I did not eat the pancakes, the server asked if she could take them away. She did not offer anything else or say anything about them. She was also slow to bring the check and did not ask how everything was at checkout like most places do. (I am sure she knew.)
I read the sign that as of December 2024 the restaurant was taken over by two long time employees and asked for patience. After 4 months the staff don't know how to make the basic things like Latte's and pancakes, I am not sure how long this business is going to last.

First, I love coming here with my Family because you are always treated with respect and kindness. The food is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend getting the cheese curds and fries which are my personal favorites, I have no idea what seasoning they use but it is out of this world. The breakfast food is also great. The food was delicious. We were on a long road trip looking for a good place to eat and came across mom's kitchen. I had little hope for the place because it's in a run down looking strip mall, but I was wrong. It's cozy when you walk in, and the waitress was awesome! If this place wasn't so far from home, I would be back often!
My only complaint would be the Eggs Benedict didn't have poached eggs. They were over hard, but even still it was delicious

I came in for the fish fry about a week ago it’s was so good. The atmosphere was very homey and calming as well it was pretty busy when me and my husband came in, but the service was amazing.
