The past couple times I’ve ordered fried rice which I’ve been getting from here for years, the quality has gone downhill so much. $17 at a minimum for any fried rice dish as well.

Ive been coming here for over 15 years. Its been about 2 years since I've been here. We'll let me tell you I will never return. The food was not good at all and the portions were really small. I got the hot and sour soup. It was thick, super brown, and not very much flavor. Everything was very salty. It was 2 of us and our bill was over 75.00 way too pricey for mediocre food.

It's my my first time being here since they reopened. I ordered the pot stickers, witch were amazing, and Mongolian beef. I liked the crunchy rice noodles on top and the beef was good. It may be a little pricey but I have enough food for another meal.

I have been a customer for decades and have always been pleased until recently. Seems like each time i go there they change another food item for the worse. First the egg rolls, now the fried rice and the list goes on. It's a shame and i hope they can find a way back to the good old days.

I have not had Moy's in 27 years. The hot sour soup was my favorite. No one else's has ever compared for me. We came down for a family gathering and on the way back home got some to bring home. Yup, still just as delicious as I remember. And you can actually taste the crab in the crab ragoons. Bonus, the food was all still hot after the 2 hour drive home.

Sadly disappointed. This iconic restaurant in Elkhorn, WI has been loved by many well over 50yrs. I've been dining here for over 30yrs myself. Last night changed all of that. Ordering my "usual" I knew something was "off" just by the smell of of the take out bag. I literally took a few bites and threw away the rest. (Almost$70 worth of food!)
The egg rolls are completely different and less than half the size they used to be, the beef fried rice was AWFUL and the beef with peppers and tomato was just as bad. Might sound weird but it made me literally cry that this favorite restaurant that carried so many of our family memories has changed and gone downhill. Unfortunately, I will not be going back to Moy's again.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years and have always enjoyed the takeout here—until recently. Unfortunately, the quality has taken a serious nosedive.
Over the last three visits, the food has been disappointing, but tonight was by far the worst. I ordered Crab Rangoon and Mu Shu Pork. The Crab Rangoon was inedible—overcooked, yet somehow cold, drenched in grease, and had an awful smell. The Mu Shu Pork wasn’t much better.
I called to give feedback, but the person on the phone put me on hold three separate times before I finally gave up and hung up. It was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
It’s heartbreaking to see such a decline in a place I used to love. I can’t help but wonder—has the restaurant changed ownership recently?

Always enjoyed it here but felt a little different. Inside looked like it had been updated. New menu, egg rolls were alot smaller preferred old ones. Food was tasty and hot . Wondering if there's new owners in here or if kids took over and are just making some changes. Also not as busy as I remember. It was always packed.

This has been a family favorite for years. The food is wonderful but we will not return. I am a vendor at the Elkhorn flea market. I have told hundreds of customers to go to Moys and how good it is. I will no longer do so. My family dined this last Sunday at Moys. My total bill with tip was $250. No where was it posted that they add a “plastics fee” unto your bill. My “plastics fee” came to the cost of an appetizer. Not happy. I feel it was dishonest and insulting. Life is short and I will not do business with a business that does something like this. Honesty and integrity is so important.

Placed a to go order and it hadn’t even been turned in when I showed. They’ve changed too much in the last year. Egg rolls are smaller and don’t taste anywhere near what they used to (borderline plain actually), the rice was not the normal white sticky rice they used to serve, and the fried rice was terrible because they used the same soggy over cooked rice. We have been eating here for twelve years and won’t be back til they fix things.

Waited for a half hour, when told wait was 15 minutes. Two other tables came in while we were waiting and were seated before us. We continued to wait. When finally seated and received our food, we were disappointed. Food was cold and just average. I have eaten better orange chicken from the frozen section of Walmart. However, shrimp kow was excellent. Very expensive considering what was received. Note they now charge 3% surcharge for use of a credit card.

Ordered Christmas Eve dinner for the family. Ordered at 4:15 to be ready at 6. They hung up on me before confirming. I called back and they confirmed 6. Waited 30 minutes after paying and asked o the status of the order. Very rude guy in charged said I should not have pre order. Then I asked how much longer and the order was not started. I asked for a refund. Which didn’t go over well. The order was over $200 so large order. Feel bad for all the people that have been waiting over an hour for their take out. They need to work on management and customer service. Miss the days when you went to eat at Moys and the service were not in sweatpants.

I came from Chicago in search of 1970s authentic Cantonese and I found a time capsule in Elkhart, Wisconsin. Remember that unbelievable dense barbeque pork flavor? Those domed serving stainless steel serving dishes? Those huge, portions overflowing with huge pieces of seafood and fresh vegetables in black bean garlic sauce?
You will not be disappointed. Ten stars recommended without hesitation. Worth driving from chicago for.

Ordered to go food last night. It was late, just before 9:00pm. We ordered the Cantonese shrimp and sweet and sour chicken. Both way over cooked/deep fried. Very dry and hard to eat. These are two very easy things to cook. The only good thing was rice. The egg rolls were about half the size compared to when the Moys still owned the restaurant. Food was way overpriced for what we received. It was so bad, I was going to call and say something. But probably a waist of breath. We have stopped going here for a while now because of the quality of food and service they offer. But we decided to try it last night. Too bad. The Taste of china in Elkhorn is way better than Moys and half the price. They should change their name of the business to something different. It’s a shame for the original owners.

Absolutely amazing in every respect. Food is great, service is great, atmosphere is fantastic, and prices are very reasonable for what you get. VERY good meal for two, appetizer and two entrees (lots of leftovers to take home) for less than $50 including tax and they don't charge for tea which is also very nice. My favorite part of all though, something very few places do anymore, the moment we were seated, they brought ice water over without asking and kept the glasses filled. Nowadays, I've been to so many places that only bring water if you ask, and are terrible about refilling it to the point where I've had to get up and go ask the bar to fill my water glass.

Chinese vegetables were omitted from the Chinese vegetable dishes that were ordered, and carrots, onions, and bell peppers were used in place. We go to Moys to eat Cantonese, not American. We also had to wait over 15 minutes for the check and the restaurant was not busy. Our server was leaning against a wall in plain sight of customers.

The food is fresh and healthy.
The waiter scowled at me when I said I was dining alone. It was a Tuesday at 445pm.
He asked if I had a reservation. I answered: "You're joking? ", as I looked into the empty dining room.
He then proceeded to scold me and said something about needing a reservation because the waitress can only handle so much! (He ended up being my "waitress".
I stayed even though I was treated rudely. . .because the food is amazing and I was hungry.
By the time I left only 2 more couples were seated in the dining room.

Moys has really gone downhill. Our waitress was ok, I felt she was newer. We waited forever for our egg rolls for about 35 min, our waitress even came and said I asked what was taking so long with them. Then about 10 min late she brought them out and they were very luke warm. The food is just not the way it was before. We were dedicated to Moys and time and time again have given it several chances and this last visit is/was just that we or none of our family will be returning. Very sad.....

Prices way too high. Food doesn't taste any better or different than any other Chinese restaurant. If you want to pay less for a larger portion I'd suggest going to taste of China instead. Was very disappointed in how high the price was at moy's and how small the portion was considering! The Rangoon isn't sweet, it's dry and all crust, hardly any filling. I am a Chinese food enthusiast and this place didn't taste any more superior than their competitor yet they are charging twice as much.
That was the first and last time I will be giving them my money until their prices get lower.

My first time here was last Friday.
I've heard mixed reviews of the place, but some friends of mine invited me to meet there.
The atmosphere is bright and cheery.
I sat at the bar for dinner.
The bartender was friendly and had a good sense of humor, which is always nice.
I ordered the Kung Pao beef meal.
It was a good size portion and was filled with vegetables and beef.
The meat was well-cooked, tasted good and full of large pieces.
Some other places give you the cheaper and really thin cut meat. Moys does not.
The spice was perfect.
The rice was perfectly sticky.
For the price, it was pretty good.
I would recommend Moys for a good Asian style dinner.

The place is clean looking when I walked in for pickup. That was the best part. Everything tasted like cornstarch and had that as a overwhelming flavor. The egg rolls even tasted like i was eating it right out of the can. I threw each away after a few bites. 40 ish dollars in the trash. Panda Express is way better and i think that is below average.

Two of the last three times we were there I was asked to give them a number for how spicy I wanted the meal which they always do and I told them number four with number five being the hottest. It is a great system when they do it right however two of the times they didn't make it spicy at all which was very bland. When it is made correctly their food is really good so we have been trying to give them a second and third chance. One other time I ordered Steak Cow which I have done before because it is really good and made with tenderloin steak and very tasty. Well they served me the Beef Cow which is nothing more than chunks of Pot Roast nowhere close to the Steak Cow. One other time my friend ordered a number two for spicy and it was so hot it was past a number five and she couldn't even eat it. Last night when we complained again the waitress said the cook is very old, can't see very well to read the orders and doesn't want to retire. That certainly doesn't help us as customers. So basically the last four times we were there, three of the times the food was made wrong. The only plus to the restaurant is the bartender who is very friendly and makes the customers feel welcome to the establishment. The rest of the staff is very unfriendly and don't make a person feel like returning.

Moy's used to be pretty good. The last time I was there was in 2006. Now it's gross and run down inside. When you walk in it smells musty and was damp with no air circulation. It was almost 6 p.m. and not a soul was dining in. There were only 2 people in sight, one waitress standing by a table with orders ready for pick up and a man behind the register. I had to ask him for a menu because I guess I was invisible. I had questions about the menu, but no matter what I asked he kept saying: "Yes good portions, you like." So I went ahead and ordered the Beef with Broccoli and 4 Egg Rolls. I specifically asked for ONLY the Beef and the Broccoli with nothing else in it, and thought I made it clear after repeating it to him a few times to make sure he understood. I waited 20 minutes which is acceptable. I checked my order before I left and it had everything mixed in the Beef and Broccoli! When I told him he grabbed the whole bag and walked away with it. Then 5 minutes later brought the bag back and rudely said: "Okay now only Beef and Broccoli". So I'm sure they dumped it on a plate or something, and picked out just the Beef and Broccoli and put it back in the container. When I got home and opened the rice it slid out in one clump and was super greasy! Not fluffy fresh rice. It was hard, yellowish, old greasy rice. I don't know anyone who would have ate that. The beef was tough like it was reheated too many times, and the broccoli was just soppy "mush" so I threw it out after a few bites. The 4 eggrolls were edible so that was my $29.00 dinner. I wouldn't go back there again if it was FREE!
