I ordered the chicken cranberry salad, but the lettuce was brown and didn’t look fresh. The cranberry dressing wasn’t like a typical dressing—it was thick and I had to use a fork to spread it.

I also ordered a Tito’s and cranberry juice, but it tasted like there was no alcohol in it at all. Even my sister, who normally dislikes the taste of alcohol, tried it and agreed it didn’t have any. Yet I was still charged for it.

First time here for my boyfriend and I. We love to try new places. I got the Nashville chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and he got the jalapeño burger with tots. We were both extremely happy. Worst place to eat. My boyfriend and I have worked in the food service industry for MANY years and understand that things happen but this place was straight up terrible. Terrible food and terrible service. Save your money and go anywhere else. We decided to try this place out and it was the worst experience out to eat, ordered a plant based burger and specified no cheese twice when they sent it out it was like the cheese was scraped off. Sent it back and watch my food hit the window after it was “remade” wouldn’t be surprised if the cheese was just scrapped off more because it was out in five minutes of sending it back. Normally not the one to send it back but I do not eat cheese. Do not care if it’s cooked next to cheese but do not wanted it partially melted onto my meal. The waitress was too busy stuffing her own face to grab the new order. By the time I got it the burger was room temp and the tater tots were definitely the same ones form ten minutes earlier. Cold and nasty. Wasted $61.00 won’t even end up eating the burger bc I don’t want to get sick. Go anywhere else save your money and time. Nasty place.

Outstanding Experience at Mr Brews Taphouse with Max, Brie, and Amazing Burgers!
We just had a truly fantastic experience at Mr Brews Taphouse, and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredible service from Max the bartender and Brie our server, not to mention the awesome burgers!
Max was on point from the moment we sat down at the bar. He was incredibly skilled at mixing drinks and really friendly and personable, making our wait enjoyable. When we moved to our table, Brie took over with equally impressive service. She was attentive, efficient, and had a wonderful, welcoming demeanor that made us feel right at home.
And let's talk about those burgers – wow! They were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. It's clear that Mr Brews Taphouse puts a lot of care into their food.
Between Max's excellent bartending, Brie's top-notch serving, and the mouth-watering burgers, our visit was nothing short of exceptional. We're already looking forward to our next trip to Mr Brews Taphouse!

The girlfriend and I wanted to sit on a patio somewhere and enjoy the day. Got greeted by the bartender right away and then went to sit outside. They had 3-4 staff supporting the whole establishment. Wasn’t that busy either. We sat outside for 15+ minutes, and not one person said anything to us. Never checked in, never even looked over at us. Tried to ask for a shift manager when we walked out and was told that there wasn’t one on site and they would be back on Monday. How are you running a business without a manager on site? Very poor service, telling everyone that I know not to go, you won’t even get served. Was way better down by the river. Shouldn’t have never changed location. Super sad too see.

I am so confused about how to really rate this. The food and beer were good service was good, but bartender was very unhelpful. One of the TVs was frozen and didn't know how to fix it, and then asked about one of the beers on tap and had no clue on the name or taste/flavor of it. Ordered take out. There was a little wait which was fine, but the girl packing orders tied the bag and said she double checked, my mistake. I get home and I’m missing my burger, but received all my other items. I called to ask if my burger was there and they said it wasn’t, and she said she absolutely double checked the bag and there was no way it was missing. She was incredibly rude. Literally the second time we ordered because the first time was great, definitely not worth the rudeness. I would have drove back for my burger but she said it wasn’t there, well where was it then?

Ive grown to love this place and continue to return. The beer selection is unmatched with offerings for everyone; I’m a sweet brew drinker and I currently prefer Drop top Sundrop. I recommend scanning the QR code on the menu for a greater explanation of offerings but there is also a paper menu I’ve used upon request. I especially appreciate how accommodating the staff has been when I ask for beer samples so I make sure I’m ordering what I will enjoy when I’m venturing out of the norm.

I visited the old location on the river which was cool but the new location is especially nice, there’s ample seating inside and out, a fresh new interior and it’s a laid back atmosphere. Major plus- the patio is dog friendly for those nice days to sit outside.

I’ve been served by multiple different people throughout different visits and have always received great service. I’ve also met the manager on various visits and she’s always been personable and down to earth.

As a vegetarian who dines with non vegetarians, it’s so nice to enjoy a burger as much as everyone else and be able to order any speciality burger with a black bean patty. They also offer the impossible burger (plant based option) but the black bean is where it’s at for me. The people I’ve dined with have also appreciated the different options, my family especially loves the fish tacos (my uncle even drives down from door county just for the fish tacos and chips!)

I highly recommend the pretzels with beer cheese, California burger (with a black bean patty or any of the other protein choices), and/or a burger bowl (which is a huge portion!)

I have visited this location several times, and most recently was so impressed with the amazing service. Friendly staff, who work so hard and keep things going even when busy. I ordered the whiskey burger bowl and it was delicious. I enjoyed the crispy chips with a side of ranch, both of which were tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Went around 2pm was only a couple people there Brisket Burger tasted like a sloppy Joe and was charged an extra 4 dollars for a fresh cut single whatever that is then was charged a $1.58 for the smallest side of ranch and never received a single refill.

Edit a basic side should not be an additional $4 when offered by the server and not told upfront as for the ranch we never received “additional” ranch we each order 1 side of ranch for our meal condiments should be included this place is just Nickel and dimes their customers and $1.58 for a half portion cup is a joke

The kids decided to take mom and I to Mr. Brew's Taphouse in Darboy (visited August 2023). It's only about a mile from our home. It's a newer pub/restaurant in the area and we were interested to try it out. First impressions...a very nice place with more than adequate indoor and outdoor seating. The waitstaff (Max waited on us) was friendly and personable. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, house specialties and pizza, not to mention the vast assortment of beers.

We ordered an appetizer as we were waiting for more family to join us. We ordered food after they came. While waiting for our food, we noticed that there were a couple of tables near us that had been seated after we had arrived and already had their food. We mentioned it to Max, who let us know that our food should be coming shortly.

We ended up waiting over an hour from the time we ordered our food. Being it was my birthday, I was not in much of a hurry, but again, seeing the other tables served first made me want to say something here.

The meals came and were plated nicely. Everyone commented on how good their meal was. I had the fish tacos with their homestyle chips...very tasty! Others had burgers, a burger bowl and my wife had the wings. Our granddaughter had Mac 'n Cheese...her all-time favorite!

Perhaps our order may have been misplaced, or...a bad night in the kitchen. It can happen. We let Max know about our long wait. I think he knew also that we were not pleased with the wait. But, we told him that this place is worth another try as the food and waitstaff service were great!

I did do a little research with the reviews and others noted similar issues. I'm not going to call this one visit a bust yet. We'll be back Max! Hopefully without the long wait.

Been here a few times for lunch, food has always been good but the service has gotten substantially worse. This visit we stopped for lunch on a weekday. Noticed 2 people at a table inside and a few outside. We sat at the bar. Eventually a male server said he would be with us in a few minutes. There was one male server handling the tables inside and out as well as the bar service. We assumed he was new, so we waited until he got to us. Once our food order was taken, it arrived quickly but as a few more guests arrived, they waited a long time for any service. One female was also working, i assume maybe the manager. She seemed to be in the back most of the time, even though the other guy was pretty busy. People at the bar waited an extremely long time for service. Also noticed one guy show up at the bar, assuming he is known to them, since they spent alot of time chatting with him about friends and family, while orders were waiting to be taken out (you can hear the service bell easily throughout the bar) and those of us also sitting at the bar, waited for service and refills. It took a while to get our bill, which was basically the waiter telling us, your total is $xx and taking our credit card. then handing us the handheld machine to add a tip, which they list as a minimum of 18%. No actual bill is ever seen and even though we asked for a printed receipt, we never received one. Very disappointing overall, especially since other times we have been there it was much better. Seems like a turnover in management and staff has really impacted the service.

Stopped by this location tonight in the evening. I expected to have some decent bar food. I wasn't expecting food better than many of the other typical sit down restaurants in the Appleton area. My husband had the fish tacos, some tap beers and a salad. He misunderstood and ordered a regular house salad instead of a side salad. The waitress attempted to clarify but he got the regular salad with grilled chicken. I ordered the bruschetta flatbread. All were very good. So often these days dinner salads are not appealing looking when they come out. His was very fresh and definitely could be a meal in itself. There are several other selections we want to try and plan to visit in the near future! Waitress and staff friendly. Sitting on the porch was nice.

Food: I ordered Philly steak and cheese, which had a minimal amount of meat. Instead of Swiss cheese, it was covered with Swiss cheese sauce. There were very few onions. The taste was adequate. Another member of our party ordered a Caesar salad. She was served a bowl of iceberg lettuce with croutons. There was Caesar dressing in a cup on the side. The chips, while tasty, were undercooked. The cheese curds were amazing! The rest of our 6 person party ordered hamburgers. The hamburgers were good, but not spectacular.

We absolutely love this place. We had frequented the former location at River Heath, and followed them to Darboy. The service is excellent, the outdoor seating is great (dog-friendly!) and the menu very tasty with lots of healthy options. The beer selection is varied and prevalent to the area.

Management is hands-on and the servers are attentive and personable (Heather is a great asset and runs a tight ship). They also have a rewards program which is certainly a return incentive in these economic times!

Food wasn’t great. When we finished we moved our empty plates to the end of the table….there they sat. Watch two servers play with each other hair… didn't offer to clear the table. I actually moved our plates after 15 minutes to the server station. Had ask someone beside or server for the check. When we left or dirty dishes were still sitting at the server station. My boyfriend and I were so excited to come try Mr. Brews Taphouse. We had never been here before and were expecting great things based off of what we had heard. We showed up about 810 on a Monday night and it wasn't very busy. We sat ourselves as the sign had said and waited. One waitress came up and asked if we would like menus and said Kara would be with us shortly. Three waitresses were walking around, kept looking at our table and never came over to ask if we wanted a drink or if we would like to order. We waited for 20 minutes, and nobody said anything to us, just kept on walking around us. I could understand waiting if they were busy, or if someone had come up and said, "We will be with you shortly." We weren't even acknowledged, and we sat in the front of the restaurant right by the bar. Unfortunately, this was a major turn off and we more than likely will not be back due to poor service. Walked out and enjoyed a burger at a local bar in Kaukauna.

I was excited for something new to open up here after the darboy club shut down. It's a prime location and a decent sized property.

But what we got is just embarrassing.

This is a cookie cutter bar. There's one just like it off of CB by the Amazon distribution center, the name escapes me ATM.

The name is nonsensical, as far as I can tell you don't brew any batches of beer on site, and I may have missed it but didn't notice any mr.brew brand beer so why are you mr.brew? Are we supposed to have heard of mr.brew?

See it's just silly.

For the size of the property as well, this is a very small location.

I walked in for a pick up, they have a door on one side that says please use main door. So I did.
Then I stood at the bar for roughly 6mins while 2 employees bickered about something, looking right at me and carrying on with their conversation.
This is bad for business, you pause your convos and acknowledge customers this is business 101.

When I was finally addressed I was told/shown the pick ups are on a rack BY THE OTHER DOOR!!! The one I wasn't supposed to enter. With a tiny sign above it. -_- no signs anywhere directing customers in that direction to pick up orders off a 3 foot tall wire rack. ...

Also BAD FOR BUSINESS.

The atmosphere is vanilla, the service sucked in my experience, there's clearly things that need to be fixed. TV menus are costing you money, get light up permanent menus or use chalk ones. Cus at this rate you're going to end up on bar rescue or just shut down. There is nothing special about this place. Their just isn't and in this economy if you don't shine you're bound to fail. Do better 🤷🏻‍♂️

This was my first time at the new Darboy location. I had a Long Island Iced Tea that a blonde haired woman made which was one of the best I ever had. Ordered a double order of wings to go. Chloe was our waitress this afternoon and was so sweet. Very personable. Went out of her way to keep bringing me a soda that wasn’t flat to get to the bottom of it tasting the way they were. There were so many tasty sounding burgers on the menu that it was hard to choose just one! Kids eating free on Sunday was also a perk!

Shout out to Mr. brews! I kept my expectations low for a salad at this establishment. However I was impressed with the walnut cranberry salad. Who knew a burger place would have an awesome salad! Perfect blend of sweet savory crunchy nutty and tangy! We had ours with chicken and it was perfect. Highly recommend. Parking was a little dicey.

We did Mr. Brews in Darboy for lunch on Friday. Nice place with plenty of good seating and excellent service. They had a very decent selection of food, and beer. Fair prices too. My wife enjoyed their flatbread pizza, and even though it wasn’t a regular topping, they allowed her to have green olives on it. I had the California Burger Bowl with added jalapeños.

I left a review months ago about the poor service I received shortly after their opening. After speaking to the owner I agreed to take down the review. Today I stopped in for lunch and ordered a beer. The manager came and confronted me on my review from many months prior. I assured her it was resolved and no longer posted yet she insisted it was and required I delete it to receive service. The review no longer exists and she couldn’t find it. After being put in her place she pulled my partially drank beer from me and told me to leave. Not without some smart comments on my way out. First and last time here! Tried it for lunch on a Saturday. Place was dead... should've been our sign to leave. This is more like a college hang out. All the food we saw the staff making in the kitchen was from a bag or container. Most of it tasted fresh out of a microwave. Mac n cheese that took an extra 10min after our food came out, was refrigerator cold. Also saw too many health code violations while sitting there to ever come back. Wait staff was very attentive, but not suprised with it not being busy. Manager was nice and comped most of our meal, even though we only asked to take off the side of Mac n cheese. You need to get drunk off their wall of beers to tolerate the bland, tasteless food. Really disappointed!

It's a cool place to check out some taps, they've got 51 selections and offer flights of 4 beers per. Their menu is also unique, I would recommend getting their homemade chips tossed in cajun, they were delicious!
The general cost of the beer is about $6.50 making it a bit pricey.

The Appleton location has moved from a beautiful view of the Fox River to a view of a stagnant retention pond. We used to frequent the old location due to the selection of beer, good food and great staff. The new location has not lived up to the prior experience over two visits. Waiting for an hour on an appetizer, getting an entree burger that is missing the side of fries, etc.

I may give it one more try in the future to see if they have figured out how to serve their customers, but likely will need to find a new spot. What a shame.

Please also keep in mind most of the reviews here are from the old location as they simply “moved” their account in Google maps.

We are pleased with the new location. It is quickly becoming our neighborhood go -to. Sitting at the bar and being able to try new and different beers at the recommendation of the bartender is what makes our experience complete. RJ is especially helpful and always spot on with his suggestions. We have discovered a handful of beers that are new favorites. The food is good, especially the jalapeño burger.

Service was slow to start but overall was fine. The biggest problem we had was that it took over 2 hours to get our food. We eventually asked for our burger, burger bowl, and fry basket to-go because it was late and we wanted to go home. Also wanted to add that when we asked our server that it's been a while and we would like our food to-go, he visibly deflated and audibly groaned when he saw how long it had been since he sent the order to the kitchen. I get that it's somewhat busy, but the food is not complicated, the menu is small, and it's formatted for fast casual. I've worked in a kitchen before and 30 minutes for an order of cheese curds is ridiculous, and two hours for 1 burger, fries, and a burger bowl is even more ridiculous. I will be hard-pressed to come here again.
Edited to 1 star: we live a very short drive from the restaurant. Got home and our food was cold. Very cold.
