Towering over them all is the Mr.Queso and he is dancing, his parmesean feet lively and quick and now in doubletime. He bowing to the ladies, yellow, and fragrant and wax coated like an enormous Babybel.

He never sleeps, he says. He says he’ll never die. He bows to the wing eaters and pours another round. He throws back his head and laughs deep in his throat and he is a great favorite, Mr.Queso.

He moves from table to table, the ultimate cheese mixture falling shredded from his sleeves melting to perfect consistency under the lamps. He swings about and takes possession of a Volcano Rib Eye Burger. He pirouettes and makes a pass, two passes, dancing and eating at once.

His parmesean feet are light and nimble. He never sleeps. He says that he will never die. He dances in light and in shadow and he is a great favorite. He never sleeps, the Mr.Queso. He is dancing, dancing. He says that he will never die.

Stopped here midweek for a later lunch on our way thru the area. The restaurant wasn't busy so we got a table right away and the service was good with our order being taken quickly and food served in a short amount of time. However, that is where things fell short. I ordered the Mr. Queso chicken & shrimp quesadilla. I didn't realize it had shrimp in it as I misread the menu and thought it was shrimp or chicken. My mistake and I just picked those out, but I only saw maybe 3-4 pieces of chicken. The queso cheese sauce tasted like American cheese and the entire dish was flavorless and gross. I only ate 1 wedge of the four sliced pieces as I was turned off by the dish entirely. Easily the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. Thankfully we don't live close so I won't be going back.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner at Mr Queso's Saturday of Labor Day weekend and unfortunately the place was empty, we were the only ones there. However, the whole experience was fantastic. Our waiter was great, his attitude and energy made the night even better. I had 2 small Hawaiian Margaritas and my boyfriend just a regular margaritas. The drinks were great, the didn't taste strong, but I can tell you they didn't skimp on the tequila. We had the chicken empanadas, they were a little dark, but everything was freshly made not frozen, the crema was very tasty, you could tell the pico de gallo was fresh as well. Lastly I had a burger and fries. The burger was made out of ribeye and was cooked exactly as asked, very well seasoned and the bacon sauce is great, I had mine on the side for my fries as well. My boyfriend had the smash burger tacos, the ribeye the use again was well seasoned and cooked. The tacos were full of filling and he was very happy. Both meals were served with fries. I think next time if I do an appetizer I will skip on fries, everything is just filling so I would do one or the other. We had to try the Flaming Peach Dream for dessert, great was to end the night. Not overly sweet and the brandy sauce and the peach pair very well together. If i had to mention negatives the menu is very large so lots of options almost too many and prices are on the higher end, but for example the burgers are made of Ribeye meat. So, not your everyday ground hamburger. This is a higher end quality Mexican Sports bar not just a standard chips and salsa Mexican Restaurant. I highly recommend.

It took 10 minutes sitting at the uncrowded bar for either of the bartenders to acknowledge us. I ordered the ribeye smash burger ($18),they asked me how I wanted it cooked, I said medium and got a very overcooked burger served on a croissant that fell apart immediately and became mush. It took another 15 minutes to get the waitress to run my card even with staff telling her we were still waiting for her… staff seemed nice if you could get their attention. We will NOT be going back

Burger was good but definitely over priced for what it is. Meat on nachos was so salty, could only finish maybe under a half of it and I probably had my salt intake for 4 days. Would go back if they ease up on the salt and lower their prices, gotten on par and better burgers for cheaper. Kids meals are also $10 and up with no drink included. Im all for supporting local, but you can't act like a 4 star restaurant when you're a sports pub. Service seemed likenit was going to be good when seated by host but waitress was slow to come to table, no napkins or plates for our appetizers, no refills offered; she was just there doing mininal.

Honestly I was expecting a Mexican restaurant because of the name. They do have really good nachos though! Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the variety of music that was playing while we were there. There is a very large area to dine in and it would be a good area to have a gathering. We will be back!

Update: Since the owner only wants to respond to 5 star reviews rather than address customers providing valuable feedback and call a review that claimed to know my whole situation an "honest" review, they also charged my card more than what I signed for after I left. Steer clear of this place.

Original: Party of 3 for a late dinner. Minimal tables eating, seated quickly, and food delivered very quick in less than 10 minutes. However, be warned that their pizza crust is pre-cooked in order to serve quickly which resulted in a luke-warm heated pizza to melt the cheese and toppings. Burgers were solid and their bacon sauce is pretty good as well.

Feedback was provided to not trade off quality of food for speedy service.

Waiter accidentally spilled a full water on a member of the party and was very apologetic. Offered a free sundae or future free sundae as courtesy but did not want after being full from meal. No bill relief was given until the complaint about cold pizza. Then was lied to about amount of credit provided before card was already run, which I don't know if it was an oversight or lack of training on the system. Did work with manager to eventually be made whole.

Rooting for this local restaurant and hope they take feedback seriously to make improvements.

We were sitting next 2 dalton...the customer asked 4 credit since the woman who accidently had water spilled on her did not live there....the waiter said sure....how is that not bill relief.......and then when u said the pizza was cold in some way the server gave you a credit.....BTW how were u lied 2 if your saying your not sure if it was an accident or not understanding the system properly....no complaints we had a gr8 xperience....

4.5 ⭐ (for now) - they're revamping their menu so TBD.

Tons of potential here, I got the chori burger which was described as being smothered in chorizo, jalapeno, onions etc but the onions and jalapenos came raw on the side. Would have been much better cooked and on the burger, which didn't have any noticeable flavor without them. Fries had great texture but could use more salt and preferably a little seasoning (garlic / parm, Cajun, or even just some pepper), but definitely more salt.

Outdoor patio is looking incredible so when that opens I bet it's going to be one of the best outdoor dining experiences around!

I definitely think the restaurant needs a few months to work through some growing pains. I was there with about 7 other people in my party and we were seated quickly, but no one came to grab drink or appetizer orders for about 30 minutes. People kept walking by and serving other customers and ignored our table.

Food took another 30 minutes or so to get to us once we ordered. My fries were not very warm but I liked my wrap. The cheese fries we shared were pretty good too. I like the queso they use. Other people in my party loved the rib wings, the meatball sliders, and the pepperoni dip, which I would definitely get next time.

Overall, I think the menu looks good and with a little time and training, this could be a great local place!

We had a large group of 8 people - 4 adults and 4 teenagers. We were sat quickly. The staff was friendly, and the food was excellent. We started with the Queso Fries for the table, which were awesome. The kids ordered wings, and were very happy. I ordered the ribeye wrap and was impressed with the meat being cooked perfectly medium - and it was absolutely delicious. Orders were taken quickly, and food delivered quickly. Much better than the previous restaurant that was there. In conversation with our server we found out that this place is owned by the same family that owns neighboring Don Maguey. If you like to the food and service at Don Maguey, you'll like this place too. These folks know how to run a restaurant.

Amazing, unique menu. I love what they did with the space here, it’s very nice inside. Tasty food. Our server Asif gave very friendly and welcoming service and that is very much appreciated and noticed these days. So excited to have a new place here!!
