First and foremost, compliments to the chef and welcoming service! On the other hand, comments to the owner..... the serving size on my Singapore noodles was a straight up robbery. For $15 and some change for a kids meal-like serving and some fortune cookies was not it. Most of the mom and pop shops would serve it in a Tupperware like they know you'll have left overs for a second round. Dont get me wrong, it has satisfied my taste buds but not my hunger because I still feel it craving for more.

Not accommodating at all for An MSG Monosodium Glutamate allergy. Almost everything is prepped beforehand and has it in it. Can't believe you can't get fresh meat or chicken and veggies made without it. Everyone else I was with enjoyed the food.

Not sure of the difference between the original owners food and the current but the vegetarian choices are kind of tasteless, i ate here 2 weeks ago and the tofu wasn’t what the waitress said when i asked if it was deep fried, she said yes but it wasn’t it was pretty much right from the container into the stir fry soft and mushy with very little flavor. Yesterday I ordered the Dragon middle dish, again, not much flavor. Egg foo Young was almost mushy in the excessive gravy and veggie egg roll was bland. DoorDashed, Mr Yee's 07/19/25 and for once I'm pleasantly surprised with my delivery order...Shrimp in lobster sauce, General Tso Chicken, Chicken egg foo young and The fried rice w/Beef everything was top tier, prepared fresh and delivered fast AND hot..The beef was of good quality no grisle or fat, very tender and flavorful. The food is Good, it could be better if they cook fresh instead of frozen.. Egg foo young should be made fresh at all times, not before hand and frozen then cooked.. it makes the egg foo young dry no matter how much gravy you put on it, it takes the flavor of the bean sprouts away. The egg rolls are good but they flash cook them so they are still cold in the middle. They should sit out for a few mins to thaw then cook them.

After new ownership, this place has blossomed. Great quality dishes for the right price they deserve. I moved here a little over 3 years ago, and I hadn't found a good chinese place out here until now. Almost comparable to Chop Suey Hut in Woodstock, illinois. Real tasting food with the rights spices and marinades... and they actually listen on the notes if you want to take an ingredient off of your dish! My go to from now on!

My husband and I LOVE this place! We ordered the orange chicken and the chicken mei fun tonight. Both were delicious. The servers were attentive and helpful. My husband has an almond allergy. The team remembers and informs him of any dishes that contain almonds. We had a key lime dessert tonight, it was amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant!

It feels like I have been there before or they filmed Rush Hour here or some shit. The General Tso's is bangin, I swear I saw the general wink at me from my plate. Apparently the new ownership has brought a decline in food quality. From items bought frozen, to an egg roll that was mostly full of celery chunks and dripping grease, the food was definitely not worth it. The sesame chicken looked exactly like the deep fried chicken puffs that most Chinese buffets call sweet and sour chicken.

I am a regular loyal customer going to the restaurant when it was once Oriental Inn. I have continued to go under the Mr. Yee’s name. Today I had some bad fried rice. I spoke with the manager and all he suggested was that I ask for the cook to cook it darker. This is unacceptable customer service. I threw out both boxes of the fried rice. My mother usually enjoys the food as do I. Not today! The food was a 1 star today. That’s the only reason it got 3 stars.

I have always loved the food and ambiance and tonight did not disappoint. Mr. Yee is not there but the wonderful experience lives on. A full menu with fresh made chili oil and sweet and sour sauce. I had the shrimp with lobster sauce and it was different than any that I've had before. It had strips of sauteed pork that I've never had in this type of meal and were tough and very chewy and had a big piece of gristle in it. The food seemed to take a long time to get compared to other Asian restaurants I've dined at. I've never had shrimp with lobster sauce that was so dry and tough to eat. I don't know if that's the traditional way and all the others are wrong but wasn't exactly to my liking. It was good and I ate it but probably never again here at least.

Had a wonderful experience! Food was all around was very good! full of flavor, very fresh, and perfect amount of spice. Hot and sour soup had the best broth and zing, we shared Szechuan pork, street noodles, and chicken lo mein.
Very satisfied with all dishes. Our server Hailey was newer and had a huge table to tend to also, she did a really good job communicating with being pleasantly attentive and letting us know if things where just take a little longer than usual and kept our tea pots full. Very cool atmosphere and music.

This >was< the best Chinese food ever. Admins changed and you can definitely tell that the recipes changed as well. Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad. It is good food for the most part. It just doesn't blow my mind anymore.

The "OG egg roll" is NOTHING like they used to be. It's pure celery/fillers and maybe a few pieces of pork. Beef is no longer tender, it is kinda tough/chewy. Noodles are tasty but mushy. I ordered the beef lo mein to go one day and when we served it at home it had an off putting smell. I could not eat it at all. They have become inconsistent too. Some times the sauce is thick like it used to, other times it is too liquid. I mean... I get it. It can't be the same with new owners, but you can tell they are cutting corners that are not really improving anything.

I didn't even see the previous servers. I hope they are doing fine. However, the host / server that got our order today was nice. She kept coming to the table, checking on us. Silver lining.

Sadly, this is no longer a 5 star spot for me. You can really tell Willy's absence here.

Passing on beef moving forward. None of our fam & friends, nor ourselves, have enjoyed any beef dish since they changed admins. Chicken dishes are still good and tender, though, so those will be our go to from now on.

I ordered chicken with broccoli, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, some sort of dragon beef (thin noodle dish) and vegetable egg roll. Chicken with broccolis white sauce was terrible. The broccoli had a very fishy taste, not sure how that is possible. Chicken fried rice had no egg, no carrots, no peas, regardless of style, very plain. Lo mein was decent. The dragon beef was extremely dry. Egg rolls not crispy. And water chestnuts and mushrooms in everything is unnecessary. Weird Chinese takeout experience.

the menu has been cut down a bit, but I think that's a good thing. the food is still very good. the prices are decent.

I don't know what's different about the atmosphere, but it does feel different than before.

they have more staff than they used to, not that the service was bad before, but there's a bit more hustle and bustle going on now. again, this isn't bad.

Yee's was my favorite sit down Chinese restaurant. and now Mr Yee's has lived up to the former and has taken the top spot for me for sit down Chinese dinners.

Went there for the first time tonight. Started with the egg rolls. Now mind you, I have had egg rolls from many different places in my 50 years. I have to say, these were the best I've ever had. The deep fry. The celery with the meat. They were very well proportioned and cooked splendidly. Now, I had the fried rice. Every bite was heavenly. The shrimp was fresh. The chicken and meat were tender. They had it the right way with sprouts and egg. I had to force myself to stop eating because it was so good. The service was wonderful. Our server, Bonnie was sweet and attentive. We had a great experience that everyone wants when they dine out. Food, service and atmosphere. Great job, everyone!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!

Well I did try the food I was very disappointed with the portion I received. I ordered the Pepper Steak and I asked for a Large and got a small portion. Although I know they are new owners but I did hear the old owners was going to help with the recipes but they was not successful in the pepper steak. This place was absolutely packed. They had literally 20+ to go orders and every table was full. It took about 2 hours to get our meal. The food was delicious, the server was very friendly. They were getting orders out as fast as they possibly could, but I just don't really understand why they kept seating guests when they could barely keep up with the guests they already had. We had both else to do, so it was fine to sit for 3 hours at this place before finishing our meL, but normally, that wouldn't be acceptable. I'm giving 5 stars still because the food and service was great, but the logistics need some work. At some point, you have to tell people that the wait will be 2 hours, so that they will leave or just stop seating people inside if you don't have the staff to get food out in a timely manner. Again, the food was delicious.

This place has been around since the 50s for a reason. Excellent fresh food and great service! Walking in is like stepping back in time, love it! the hot and sour soup is so good, chicken fried rice is delicious with the bean sprouts in there, and the side of egg roll, sweet and sour shrimp and crab Rangoon that came with our meal was so so good. We had the dinner for two and the sesame chicken and garlic chicken were fantastic too!!

Yee's is a Kenosha must visit. I have been ordering for over 30 years. I have had several sit-down meals with the family at Yee's.
I prefer carry out and movie night.
It gets extremely busy, and I am always surprised at the line to pick up our order. It only took 25 minutes from phone to order pick-up.
Yee's is in a class above all others. You can stop looking for something else.

Do not get it delivered! They take no responsibility for the accuracy or quality of the food when it's delivered. (1) I got the completely wrong meal, and they said talk to the delivery person, ignoring the fact that they gave the wrong order to deliver person. I actually would have eaten it anyway, but (2) the rice had a 2 inch brown hair in it and they snapped at me that #nobody with brown hair works here"- I've actually been there in person many times, and everyone there had dark hair, so perhaps i should have inspected it further for the Clairol shade#? . There is zero quality control on deliveries, and there is no accountability there. I used to love this place, so whatever has changed with quality and service ; undo it!

Our family has been coming to Yee’s since the early 1960’s and we consider them as part of our extended family. Our parents would dine there 2 to 3 times a week! Whenever we came back to Kenosha Yee’s would be our first stop where we would be greeted by May’s smiling face! We will always remember the delicious hand rolled egg rolls, homemade dinner roles and the 50/50 Hot & Sour/Egg Drop Soup!!! Best Wishes to Fong and Willy on their retirement! Absolutely the rudest server ever! We arrived at 8:05 and the door says open til 9, she says “we close at 8:30!” Ok so if you don’t want anyone to come in and be waited on after 8 THEN CLOSE AT 8!!!! Been a customer for decades, not anymore perhaps them selling and retiring is the best thing for them.

Went there on a first date. Not too impressed with the food and was a bit rushed by the waitstaff. Plates were taken away before we were able to finish. Check was given soon after. Dining room was almost empty and there wasn't anyone waiting for a table.

Amazing family. Amazing food. A staple of Kenosha! My favorite is white sauce chicken and broccoli that you can NOT get anywhere else. My husband's favorite is the pressed duck. Yum!!
