I've loved Murfs for a long time. I haven't been there in a while. My fish fry was good but skimpy on the fries. Burger however was burned way to much ketchup, no mustard, no cheese even though it was supposed to be a cheese burger. I am 77 and work to hard to throw away money and food. I won't be back.

I hadn’t been to Murf’s in years, and was genuinely excited to return. I walked in and was greeted politely, and my order was taken at 6:08 PM. I waited patiently, understanding that things can get busy. However, after standing there for over 30 minutes 6:38Pm, and watching multiple customers who ordered after me receive their food and sit down to eat, I became concerned.

When I asked about my order, the polite cashier checked in the back, only to be dismissed by a younger male cook who rudely said, “Just tell him we’re busy, food is almost done.” I waited another 10–15 minutes while even more orders were filled ahead of mine.

At that point—having been there over 40 minutes—I voiced my frustration and asked again where my food was. A young woman in the back snapped, “Food done,” in a tone that made it seem like I was at fault for the delay.

Eventually, a manager stepped in, handed me my food, sincerely apologized, and offered a quart of ice cream, which I appreciated. But this entire experience was extremely disappointing—especially since I genuinely love the food at Murf’s.
Going forward, if a customer has been waiting 30+ minutes, that should raise a red flag. Misplacing an order is one thing, but continuing to serve 15+ customers ahead of someone who’s been patiently waiting is not acceptable. This was unfortunately the worst experience I’ve had at Murf’s, and I hope it was a one-off situation.

When they say jumbo burgers they mean it. I got a Bacon Cheeseburger with Onion rings and a Peanut Butter Deluxe Sundae. The burger was massive and juicy. The onion rings had a great crunch, and the shake was rich. Everything was delicious. The attendants were attentive and professional, and the food weight wasn't longer than 15 minutes. Highly recommend to everyone!!!

I had a cheeseburger with mozzarella sticks on it. The taste of the beef was not good nor was the bun, nor the mozzarella sticks on the burger. It wasn't a good tasting experience.
I also ordered a turtle sundae: the caramel was a very light amber color and not very tasty and the chocolate was not very good either.

Local fast food restaurant. Food is similar to other Milwaukee area custard shops, with burgers and chicken sandwiches. Fries are crispy. Onion rings are of the breaded variety rather than batter dipped. Of course, the custard and shakes are the draw. Clean venue except for the floor being slippery as if it had a film on it. This is usually caused when the floor is mopped with dirty water.

Was in the neighborhood and stopped by around lunch time (12:30/1pm), the parking lot was packed so we were a little nervous cause it's not that big inside but wasn't too bad as we thought, made our order, there was a little wait time but that's expected with the size of our family (family of 7 ) kids say that their ranch is the best of the best, chicken tenders were amazing and the cheese curds were great! Today 5/29/25 New owners, not the same quality as the past and AWFUL customer service from female management! We ordered a fish sandwich that was very greasy, possibly fried in old grease or at a low temperature and had inly a scant teaspoon of tarter sauce added. The burger had cheese as thin as a piece of paper on top, asked for raw onions and was given a tiny teaspoon on top of a big patty, with no taste. Same prices as before but inferior food and smaller portions. 20 years of being patrons that live in the area, and we were told to produce the burger to prove we hadn't eaten it. After we did show them, we were met with rudeness from the kitchen staff and the owner refused to come out. Very unfriendly, she claimed they never have complaints and never give a refund. Well in 25 years we never had to ask for one from the previous owners! She accused us of blackmail when we expressed our disappointment because we said we would be telling our friends and neighbors about terrible treatment. Sluggo's and Culver's down the street have much better food and customer service.

I stopped here on a busy Saturday late afternoon, so I knew it was going to be crazy busy. I placed an order ahead of time, but still waited an hour from my confirmation email to get my food. Just go to Culver’s. New owner 11/24. Incompetent high school kids running the place. Friend of workers came in wanting samples, free food, disrupting the staff. Multiple orders were done all at once. Workers were opening the burgers to see what they were. Witnessed by my husband who told them he didn’t want his burger and wanted it remade. Which they did. We are local to murfs. And after tonight I will never eat here again. We ordered our food online. It said 35 mins till it would be ready. We went at that time and still waited over 20 mins for our food... we got home to discover the order was messed up. The didnt put curds on one burger, missing sides and my VERY allergic friend asked for no onions. They literally gave him a burger patty covered in cheese and onions...when we went back they argued about remaking the food. The young kid at the counter was unfortunately handling the issue. We were told they would remake it and give us free ice cream as well. We waited 20 mins and went back in, to be told they can't remake our food because their kitchen was backed up about an hour and they would refund the order.
New management? I don't know. You just lost local, regular customers.

The first bite of custard thoughts: not creamy, flavor is good - not too sweet and flavor of the day is present, toppings were the right ratio, texture was good - thick. The more I ate it the more I liked it but the creaminess never showed up. I've had worse though and generally liked it.

I ordered the Wisconsin Cheesehead burger that had cheesecurds and ranch. The bun was crumbly and dry which did not help the dry patty. I liked that the bun was toasted. The cheese was great, bacon was stringy so I needed multiple bites just to separate the bacon but tasty. Ranch was not very present and could have saved the burger. It was basically missing juiciness or sauciness.

A 10/10 would've been a creamier custard and a juicier beef patty with a softer bun. Not bad, not my favorite!

Another custard place in the books! Had to try out the Cookie Monster flavor of the day. Probably one of the most ingridient loaded custard flavors I've ever had. I have not had a chance to try their food yet, other than the pickle fries that were perfectly crispy with their spicy boom sauce. There was no Cheesecake pieces whatsoever. Not good for a person who loves cheesecake, who was expecting cheesecake pieces. This shake tasted more like a vanilla shake with a ton of cinnamon streusel crunch pieces. Also, it didn't have any flavor of blueberry.

I just googled chicken restaurants in Brookfield and Murf's came up and thank God!

We stopped on our drive back home to MN and it was an easy quick detour. The burgers are truly jumbo but so delicious. I want to point out how good their pickles are. If Murf's chose to offer a crispy chicken sandwich with pickles they would be killing it.

After lunch we got a root beer float and a single scoop of vanilla custard in a cone. Their custard is TOP NOTCH! I won't name names but there is a popular custard establishment in Brookfield I've been frequenting since I was a kid and I think Murf's is better!

Cannot wait to stop again the next time we are passing through.

I had the flavor of the day, Peanut butter Cup and was quite disappointed 😞 today! It was supposed to be chocolate ice cream w a peanut butter sauce swirl(?) and reeses pb chunks... IMO the custard was BARELY chocolate, I was expecting something much more chocolate. It tasted more vanilla, even tho it was a really light brown and mine didn't have any PB sauce swirl(?) if that is what I understood it should have had. I had a single scoop waffle cone, to go.... only reason for 2 stars on food was bc of the flavor of the day. Otherwise food and custard really good.
