We'd been to CranFest & googled to find dinner near our hotel. 1st was confusion on who was our server, 3rd one was a charm! She was very good! Order confused & finally got straight. Loaded baked potato cold. My potato came out on my daughters sandwich plate. Salad was really good.
The 4 top next to us had much luck w/their dinner. 2 meals out 1st....pizza lukewarm, sweet potato fries cold & limp. 3rd persons Reuben wasn't warm, then waitress checked on last guy for what he had on his burger....10 min later got his burger w/apology taking too long but takes longer to cook frozen burger, his fries limp & cold.
The two of us fared much better than them!
Just seemed very unorganized & kitchen not keeping orders together or hot. Beautiful restaurant though!

Eating out is nearly impossible for us due to a soy allergy and gluten allergy. The staff at this restaurant went above and beyond to ensure that there was no soy or gluten in anything served to us and made accommodations they didn’t have to make! Kenzie was attentive and friendly, while the owner also checked in on us multiple times after being alerted about the allergies. We’ll definitely be back, maybe even tomorrow!

It was a fine experience. My husband got a Cuban and he liked that, raved about his cranberry old fashioned. I had the turkey croissant special and it was fine -the fries were like cold McDs fries, so not great. The table was sticky and our server left us hanging for awhile until the bartender took our order. It was fine, couldve been worse but also could've been better.

We chose Murray's on Main to Cater a taco bar for a rehearsal dinner and Mike did not disappoint. Mike was great to work with, and made things easy. He and his staff were on time, efficient, and kind. The meal was fantastic, and there was plenty! Our guests were very complimentary of the food. I was really pleasantly surprised to find his gem in downtown Tomah. I had never been here before. The interior is excellent the exterior is attractive it's really nice inside and they're advertising it is casual classy and that is very appropriate. The food was great the service was excellent. I've been enjoying this place for years but the last time was so bad that I'm not sure if I go back. We've loved mama's nachos before but this time there was a chemical taste to them. Something like a cleaner/bleach taste. Ingredients were running and the chicken was mushy.
The worst part was that the owner couldn't take the time to come by our table to apologize. He was to busy bragging about his power tool at the bar. He is usually more considerate.
We heard from a friend they had broasted chicken the same day and it was undone, bloody!

Im sorry but this place is not good. Second time here and second time disappointed. Chicken parm was disgusting. Small under cooked pieces of chicken on top of over cooked noodles with some kind of slop for sauce. For $27 a plate I expect much much more. Chicken parm is an easy dish to make and re-create over and over again. Not even close to what one would expect as a chicken Parm dish. Do not waste your time going to this restaurant. They don’t care about the product they are putting out and they don’t ask if you were happy with your meal. Do better Murphy’s or go out of business

We chose this restaurant for a friends monumental birthday. To start off, our server handed us our drinks and took her nose to the glass to smell which one was which while handing them out. Working in food service, this is something that is a food safety violation. Birthday girls dinner, Chicken Alfredo, was alright but lacked flavor and sauce (did not taste homemade) especially for being $18. That being said we did not feel it was right to leave a good tip. As we were leaving our server laughed and showed us her handheld electric receipt. We asked what was wrong and she scoffed and said, “Nothing.” Then she rebuttals telling us that our tip was disrespectful for someone making $3 an hour. With most of our bills being separate she personally called out birthday girl and her boyfriends total and tip showing the rest of the group the total and the tip he left… completely unprofessional and humiliating. After that she continues to “educate us” on the standard tip amount we should’ve left. Completely shocked, we just nodded and agreed. This experience, regardless of her birthday or not, was completely disrespectful and not the right timing. No server should be showing the rest of the birthday group the other people’s totals and calling out the birthday girl on her special day. We will not be returning.

This experience was so unique in how terrible it is that I spent hours reading the Google reviews. What do I find out? The owner was the mayor of Tomah! A conspiracy abounds!

I legit thought I was being pranked by a kitchen nightmares spin-off. I had to look up the owner and learn more. Who is the man who thought coleslaw should go on nachos? Who is brave enough to offer high end prices and put out frozen boxed food with insane flavor combinations nobody asked for? Who thought a driving instructor turned mayor should be the town chef?

There are three things that should have given us red flags and the sense to leave

1. A ridiculously large menu
you can’t do everything well and if you sell everything from a poke bowl to Mexican to Italian you cannot execute on 100’s of menu items well

2. An empty restaurant during lunch rush time

3. A newer build without any character

I cannot explain to you how surprised I was when Mexican street corn nachos came out with brown dollops with a kernel or two of corn? No shredded cheese and questionably no cheese at all? The orange liquid on top could be cheese. I asked the server what the brown substance was and she said she had no idea and looked very embarrassed. Thankfully they took it away and removed it from my bill. The presentation was similar to nachos I have served after drinking for 8 hours in college and putting whatever I had in the fridge on some yellow corn tortilla chips. As a side note, the coleslaw was fluorescent green.

I ordered a broasted chicken sandwich (because of course they offer full broasted chicken meals next to pizzas, pastas, steaks, lobster, Asian bowls, and egg rolls) The sweet potato fries looked like they ran off the Cisco truck and dropped themselves into the dirtiest fryer I have ever seen. The fries were inedible. It was toxic and I feared for what the state of my stomach was going to be in several hours. The chicken tasted of the same dirty taste like their grill hasn’t been cleaned since the mayoral election was lost. My poor server couldn’t bear to ask me how the food was when she saw the one bite out of the sandwich and the plate pushed to the end of the table. I fear she hit her quota of comped food for the day and couldn’t take yet another plate back to the kitchen.

The French dip had the same “off” taste and I started to rack my brain as to what is happening back there. Could their freezer have broken and the food spoiled? But no, they really served those nachos without blinking an eye. Maybe they could taste like that for real? I saw a male going in and out of the kitchen. Could it have been our esteemed former mayor? If he knew about the returned appetizer he certainly didn’t come to inquire which may indicate that complaints are more of an every day fare.

Our barely touched food sat on the table as I hastily drank another beer to cure my rumbling tummy. Our server asked if we wanted to go boxes and seemed unsurprised when we said no. She didn’t seem to dare ask how things were for fear we would give a real answer.

Another unsuspecting family from out of town showed up and out of 200 available seating options they were seated next to us in the eerily empty dining room. We could hear their gasp when the nachos were dropped like a bomb on their table. I only wish I could have warned them… Soon they too left a table full of untouched food and quietly declined to go boxes.

I felt so bad for our server that I didn’t complain again about the sandwich after the nacho fiasco. After my Google review investigation and in depth search of the political history of Tomah, WI, I realized this whole restaurant is a scam. Foolish out of towners stop by off the interstate for food and are too polite to complain. The owner charges 50 percent more than the food is worth to cover those who do complain. The servers get paid well because the guests feel so bad for them. Now Mr. Mayor can impress his citizens with his fancy restaurant. I can only guess political bribes are traded for 5 star reviews.

I ordered MOMS BOMB. I ordered it because it had pulled pork. When it came, I saw the burger, which was beef & it was medium-rare. (I like my beef medium-well. Server never asked how I wanted it (in fact it says nothing about any beef on the menu- I actually was expecting a pulled pork sandwich). In fact, there was actually very, very little pork on the sandwich. It did taste very good. I forgot what my friend had but she enjoyed it.

Very small portions for the price. The Lobster Mac & Cheese had very little Lobster. The bowl was more like a side of Mac & Cheese. The loaf of bread was just a larger dinner roll. Mike is the best bar/restaurant owner iv ever met in my life he’s always there always personable always on top if it all! Not to mention me being a celiac to always be catered to and feel I can actually go somewhere and know I’ll be ok every time is a huge deal in my life. Iv only been one other place in the state similar with special fryers and endless options and it’s up in tomahawk and doesn’t have nearly AS many options I feel. This is the 2nd time I had delivery. First time was the steak sandwich. $17 sandwich with soggy bottom of bun. And no side given. Just received a soggy bun sandwich. 2nd time I ordered a poke bowl. I chose grilled shrimp. Those were tiny pieces from a regular shrimp cut up. Because when ordering under special instructions It said they don't take special instructions. I wanted all sauces and dressings to the side but it it was all added. The avocado was a mush ball, the rice underneath was saturated with a mix of sauce and liquid. I love Poke Bowls. I live in Madison and get Poke Bowls frequently. This by far was the worst bowl I ever had. More than half ended up in the garbage. Definitely do not recommend this place for delivery.

In town for a girls hockey tournament and stopped in with about 30 people in our group fresh off an opening-round loss. They handled it wonderfully. Plus, one of their servers came out to talk to the team, did some magic tricks and gave the girls a pep talk. Our team proceeded to win the rest of the games in the tournament. Thanks, Murray's!

We've been coming here for years. Friday night fish fry, lunches on the weekend, bloody mary Sundays, etc. Always have a great meal and great service. However, tonight we didn't have great service. Our food was amazing as always,, but our server acted like we were an inconveniece to her compared to her other tables. She stopped by our table once to check on us. We asked for more napkins, never brought any. We needed drinks, she never stopped to ask but the table behind us was doted on by her multiple times....for sodas, straws, refills, etc. Then what seemed like a manager asked how our first couple bites were and our plates were clearly empty....so we didn't bother saying anything to him if he couldn't tell how far we were in our meal. It wasn't super busy, but steady, not all tables or booths were dull when we were there. So we will not be visiting anytime soon as this was disappointing to us. Food was delish but service could improve. And yes, I have worked as a waitress, bartender, and still bartend today.

When I heard there was a restaurant called “Murray’s on Main,” or MOM’s for short, I knew it was fate—how could I not dine at a place that feels like it’s got my name written all over it? Well, let me tell you, this place might just be the long-lost family I didn’t know I had.

I ordered the Reuben, and let me say, it was a sandwich crafted with love—or at least a lot of meat. It was the perfect balance: not drowning in sauerkraut or Thousand Island dressing but just enough to keep things saucy (without needing an intervention). Each bite made me feel like the sandwich was saying, “You’re doing great, sweetie!”

Then came the 7th Heaven dessert. Now, I don’t know who counted the heavens, but this dessert deserves at least 8 or 9. It was a chocolate lover’s dream: light, airy, and somehow not too sweet—like a cloud made of mousse and chocolate cake had descended onto my plate. The chocolate shavings on top were a gentle nudge reminding me that life is good and dessert is better.

So, if you’re looking for a place with food as comforting as a mom’s hug and a name that makes you feel right at home, MOM’s is where it’s at. And if you’re a Murray like me, it might just feel like a family reunion—minus the awkward small talk and casserole.

I recently dined at **Murray's on Main** in Tomah, WI, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! The food was fresh and simply amazing. I can confidently say this may become my go-to restaurant from now on.

My daughter and I started with the artichoke and spinach dip appetizer and wowow!! Delicious!! Even my 2 year old granddaughter loved it and the pita chips!

Mike, the owner, came out to say hello, and he is such a great guy—his passion for the restaurant really shines through. Our server was beyond helpful and worked tirelessly to ensure we had everything we needed.

The entree's are great, burgers and salads but you can't say the same about seafood, I ordered a lobster stuffed shrimp with potatoe on the side, I should just get a burger. The potato came burnt and didn't come soft inside, the shrimp was only sealed on one side so it was raw, there is no lobster, it is literally panko flour with lobster little crumbs and A LOT of oil. I literally lost $30.

I ordered a steak sandwich on a gluten-free bun. I ended up not eating the bun because it was delicious without it. My sandwich came with French fries, they were good. Dedicated fryer.
They also have a gluten-free fish fry and shrimp but due to a seafood allergy, I didn't try that.
The food was good, I felt safe eating here, I had no ill effects. Our server never came back after bringing our food and we had to wave her down from across the restaurant just to get our bill, but the other servers seemed very attentive to their guests. We will definitely go here again!

My fiancée and I originally came here for dinner entrees tonight, but after our appetizer we decided to go elsewhere. We were seated and then started to order our drinks and an appetizer and it was clear that our server was very frustrated. We waited awhile for our drink orders, so I looked around for our server to see that she was sitting at a different table and talking with them for some time. I was quite impressed with the whole experience. What a beautiful modern new building for Main St. Tomah!! And it houses a few businesses, plus I think apartments on the upper levels. This place is an absolute gem in central Wisconsin. My husband and I have eaten here a number of times, on our own or with groups, and have enjoyed it each time. The food is superb and we love that many items have a gluten free option. The customer service is excellent- to the point that a crew member offered to warm up my baby’s bottle simply because he was very attentive. Most recently we visited with family after attending a funeral. They were so kind as to give us the back room for our large party with a last minute reservation. After traveling from Kentucky, Texas and Florida, we enjoyed our Celebration of Life family dinner in a private room where we were able to set up pictures, flowers, etc. Sarah was very attentive to our every need. We especially LOVED all 3 (recommended) varieties of appetizer NACHOS! Only real disappointments were the very gummy garlic mashed (instant??) potatoes and the dry (not nearly enough sauce!!) Chicken Alfredo orders. Unfortunately, by the time a grand daughter shyly spoke up about her UNEATEN "too thick, fake tasting cheese" Kids Mac and Cheese ($8), it was replaced by a new order of Adult Chicken Alfredo ($21) just as the rest of us were finishing our food. So we were happy to be offered hers be packaged to go, but later that evening, we realized we had been charged for BOTH her meals, OOPS!!! As a family of two generations of servers, we do appreciate the difficulty in serving a large group, and thank you for making our return to our parent's hometown of Tomah part of a memorable weekend!

Came in late after a day at McCoy. Ordered a Taco pizza and was really happy with it. It's probably one of the best Taco pizzas I have had. Servics was friendly and attentive. Inside was clean and the vibes were good.

Came here very pumped about this place and left disappointed. The fish looked, and tasted like they came out of a bag. The chicken on the pasta Alfredo tasted like nuggets too. I won't be here again.

I don't even write reviews but you would think for the cost of the menu items you would be getting decent food and not your standard Sysco fare, nothing here stood out at all, anything fried came directly out of a freezer and you can get better quality for half the price. I would honestly consider this lower than Culvers and twice the price. All show and no substance.

I'm torn about Murray's on Main. I recommend it for its wonderful service, fresh look, and clean, quiet atmosphere. But it falls short of being the complete package. While the menu offers great options, it feels like upscale sports bar food rather than matching the vision. For instance, the Wisconsin honey Sriracha beer cheese bacon fries were a disappointment. There's a limit to how many adjectives you can use to describe food before it becomes questionable.

This place has amazing food, we had the California with bacon on a pretzel bun, and the French dip both were seasoned amazingly. Fries were soggier than we like and lacked salt. Server was great and loved sitting on the patio. Highly recommend if you’re here.

My sisters and I had a girls date here and the food was amazing! I ordered the Mexican street corn Nachos (served on a 14 in. pizza pan) and it was excellent!!! The shrimp dip was also amazing! I definitely recommend them for lunch or dinner!

I was pleasantly surprised. We had been avoiding MOM'S due to high prices and uppity. I was impressed with menu options and the Mac cheese was cheesy. The clam chowder was old school milk thin base.
