I love root beer! So when I saw this place it was a must visit on my trip to the dells. Overall it was a great experience! I saw the mini museum they have in the back, bought a root beer flight, and bought some of my own to take back including a Keg and left happy☺️ They also have other sodas for sale if root beer isn't your thing, though the options are limited. Its definitely worth visiting if you're in the area.

Museum is small, but packed with history of root beer facts, memorabilia, and the nostalgia of childhood memories. A really fun place to visit! After touring the museum, you can reward yourself with a root beer float (your choice out of 100's of root beers), or you can choose to buy bottles of root beer to take home! Just a fun stop on your trip!

A once in a lifetime opportunity. Actually, it’s a place I’d only go to once in my lifetime. It’s pretty expensive for what you get. The guy running it was super nice, and there was a lot of cool info. I wouldn’t take little kids, but my teenage boys were entertained for 10-15 minutes.
Once we were done they offered a taste testing of different types of tap root beer. 5 of us did it, but I was surprised by how much root beer came with it and how much it costs. It would’ve been a better experience with 20% as much root beer at 20% of the cost.

Bait and switch on coupons from local hotels. They have Midwest based root beers available in the front store but hard to recommend when local coupons say 50% discount (buy one entrance get a second person free for the museum) and they say it’s a “misprint” and the best they can offer is 10% off each ticket.

Although it's not very big, it was a neat spot to see. I couldnt believe how many different root beers there were. The cute nostalgia pieces made the visit worth seeing for me. And the root beer on tap was yummy. We had the III Dachshunds Root Beer and it was really delicious. Had a nice sweet/smooth flavor. The ladies who were running the museum the day of our visit were very nice as well. We visited 8/4/25

For a fun tourist opportunity, the customer service really lacked. Staff could barely speak and visitors had to guide them through what they wanted to partake in. Staff had no knowledge of the various root beers and could not speak to where the root beers on tap were from.
Still they had a nice variety of root beers available for purchase. Recommend skipping the tour ($) which was more of a personal collection over a curated exhibition and just take a break from walking with a root beer flight.

Very cool little museum showcasing the history of root beer as a beverage, its origins, and how it gained notoriety in the soda pop business. Every brand you can think of and then some is showcased here with a lot of other memorabilia. Intimate little theatre showing root beer commercials of yesteryear. The host and owner is a super nice guy. We recommend buying the series of tasting straight from the tappers. Excellent root beer on tap. The owner gives you a quiz of ingredients in each. Great place for kids, too. Our grand kids loved it. There are 10% off cards all over The Dells.

This is not a free museum with purchase. The museum portion was not kid friendly, it had quite a bit of reading and was not interactive at all. Nice place to get information though. Very cute! If you’re into rootbeer this an inexpensive little stop you should make, staff was very friendly and explained to us the notes in each rootbeer while we did our flight, one being more vanilla forward another one having honey in it. It was great fun,my thirteen year old loves rootbeer and found a coupon in our book from the hotel so we figured heck let’s go check it out, the little theatre in the back was very cute with the old commercials and my youngest enjoyed seeing all the cans and wondered how one gets such a collection!
A flight of four rootbeers was $5.50 and we felt it was well worth doing if you have a rootbeer lover in your group!

I love root beer! I have a collection of 64 unique glass bottle root beers I've assembled over the years. I was able to find 7 that I did not have for sale at this museum, bringing me from 57 to 64.
I am only a fraction of the way to where this collection is, but I'll keep plugging away.
Small, quaint little storefront, filled with historical root beer content, from signs to cans and bottles to commercials and alcohol, all root beer themed.
They have a few root beers on tap, as well as around 30 different varieties for sale in glass bottles, though I already had most of them.
Fun little place to stop and spend an hour, and to get a glass of root beer on tap. Highly recommend. I include here an incomplete picture of my collection.

We also sat down and watched some old root beer ads playing on the TV at the back of the museum. And on the way out she got a root beer float. I snuck a taste and it was delicious! Overall an unexpected, interesting, and yummy experience!

Fun little quirky place. Our family enjoys such things so we absolutely loved the museum, me moreso since I also collect all things A&W that I can get my hands on.
The flight of root beers was also good.
It's not the Smithsonian or anything like that, so don't expect to spend an entire day there. I felt what was there was worth the price.

5/5 or 10/10 Stars!!
This place was amazing! My family didn't do the museum part; we stayed in the front area, but I don't think that should take anyone back!!
We did the Root Beer charcuterie board thing with fun flavors that I believe changes out every few days for a different experience.
The person who helped us with the drinks gave a talk on some of the history of the types that we had and was overall extremely welcoming and friendly!!
I recommend this place to anyone who loves Root Beer and wants a small but extremely fun experience of trying out different types!!!

What a quirky and fun place! I never knew there was so much to the root beer industry. Very cool displays of past root beer cans, bottles, signs and they have a screen going of root beer in pop culture, I never realized how much it's in tv and movies! There's a super cute mini cinema in the back showing old commercials and playing jingles. Definitely wait for the next showing if you can! They have root beer flights for just over $5 and a bunch of different root beer brands for sale by the bottle. It was a fun little stop!

10/10 will go again. The guy behind the counter was very nice and knowledgeable. He claimed they had the best root beer floats. His claim is not a claim but a fact.

This is a little gem that is tucked away in a busy town. It is something you can do on the cheep end in a town that you can spend money fast for a little over $11 I got to see the museum and try 4 different root beers. I highly recommend it and you might remember something that is fun too. Your first beer.

If you like root beer, this is the place to go. We tried four different types of root beer, and there was a whole wall of different root beers to purchase. Each had it's own distinct taste which was amazing. The person who waited on us was very knowledgeable and helpful with purchasing advice.

I really liked this little gem of a place.
And I plan to go back again. We bought the $24 growler and got to try some unique RB flavors. Went back the next day for a $12 refill of a different RB.

Great little museum in the heart of a tourist town. Many of the exhibits are old root beer cans and bottles, though there were other exhibits highlighting the history, popularity, and even ingredients used in making root beer. The shop in front sells a variety of bottled root beer, along with other sodas and souvenirs. Great stop for any root beer lover!

It's a neat root beer themed gift shop in a strip mall. I admire the creativity of the owners in developing the concept. The store section has modest selection of root beer memorabilia and a few t-shirts for purchase. They have an impressive selection of root beers available for purchase. Plan to spend $3.25 per bottle. The feature of the place is the tasting flight. For $5 you get five pours of root beer, 5-6 ounces each. The staff are reasonably knowledgeable of the products they are featuring on tap. They have discount coupons in some of the tourist fliers for the paid admission part. Since the place considers anyone over 5 an adult, best to the coupon if you can.

Great local shop! Did not catch the employee's name but he was not the owner and was still very knowledgeable - he has tried around 1,000 root beers so got to talk through favorites and least favorites with him which was fun for me! Enjoyed a root beer out of the tap which is always a treat!
The museum was fun for a root beer and history lover like myself, but I think it would be fun for most people :) They do a good job with how everything is laid out and organized and their little information signs were fun to read. The very reasonable entrance price of $5.50 (for adults) makes it worth it, even if it's a relatively quick scan through!
It was busy, but not cramped, and I still got great service and person to person contact with employees who were kind, willing to answer questions, and still doing their job quickly and efficiently!
