My family has been coming up here for over 30 years. Musky Tale has always been a must go to place. The food is great and the service is outstanding and friendly. The apparel is far better quality than other resorts.

I have been a seasonal camper here for years, and love everything about this place. The food and drinks at the restaurant are great, the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience there. Accommodations are clean and you can’t beat the views. 100% recommend this place for a wonderful up north experience!

Stopped in to have pizza. Sat at a table and nobody bothered to help us. Finally after 15-20 minutes the bartender yelled and told us that we needed to order at the bar. No problem. We had to ask for menus. Then went to the bar and ordered our drinks and pizzas. Our group ordered 3 different kind of pizzas. They brought them to our table. When we got the last one, we asked for more napkins. Their was only 3 in the case that they gave us, the lady never said a word, she just turned and walked to the bar. We all thought she wasn’t going to do anything, but she asked the bartender for more and then placed them in the case. Never saying a word or even a smile. So now let’s talk about the pizza. It was the worst pizza we ever had. Frozen pizzas have more flavor. Their customer service was horrible and so was their pizza we will never go back.

My husband and I have been coming here for 30 years. We've stayed at the resort many, many times. One of my favorite memories with my granddaughter is there. We stopped in after a day of fishing and the food is as good as ever, the service is as good as ever, the prices are great. I almost cried walking into the Musky Tale bar everything was as I remember.

We rented a duplex for a few days off the Chippewa Flowage on Moores Bay here at the Musky Tale Resort. It's a clean one bedroom with a full kitchen, including a dishwasher, and bathroom but you do have to bring your own toiletries and towels. The kitchen was stocked with some cooking utensils, plates, silverware, toaster, coffee pot and glasses.
The bedroom had a single and double bed with mirrored closet doors. The living room had a decent sized flat screen with DTV.
The only thing that sucked about this place was the shower. I don't know why the placement of the shower head itself was way too low. It's you're under 5 feet tall, one would fit perfect underneath. That needs to be re-done, if you ask me.
Other than that, it was a good time. Being able to leave our boat at the dock was a plus. It's a pain in the ass unloading and loading it back up after a long day of fishing!
Met the owner on the day we left and he was a really nice guy!

The Musky Tale is awesome!!! Been going there for over 25 years!!! The pizza is amazing!! Especially “The Harvey” 😊 The owner is great… family run business…. The staff are very friendly and fun to be around!!!

Love this place, but the cabins really need a bit of work. Great location. Servers could be a little more friendly. Boat ramp is getting worse every year. Very inexpensive. EDIT: This place is priced right, and the cabins are clean and comfortable. They still could use just a bit of tlc. The owners ar are also certain accommodating.

Been coming here for almost 14 years now. The drinks are strong and cheap, the food is fantastic, the view of the flowage is stunning, and it's only 15/20 minutes from Hayward. Quiet, affordable, friendly, and beautiful. What more can you ask for?

Probably a great place to go, but the water was down 4 feet when we were there so the fishing was atrocious. Barely caught enough to have a dinner there, nothing went home with us. Very crowded, didn't really have that wilderness feel at all. On the plus side, the restaurant and bar are fantastic, staff is cool and accommodating and food/drink prices are very reasonable. Cabins were minimalist, bathrooms very small and beds were decently comfortable. Had a good stay because of the restaurant and staff, just wish the fishing had been better.

I had an accident with a deer and ended up at this resort. Lisa, the owner, is incredibly friendly and helped me get through a rough time. She was able to help with the police, towing and even let me use her personal phone for over an hour. In addition, the guests were also top notch as I managed to make some new friends. Listen, reviews should be about the people and this place has tons of great people. You can't go wrong by supporting Musky Tales.

Nice little cabins tucked back on a tributary on the chippewa flowage. Nice landing with lots of dock space. Bar has amazing homemade pizza. Great hospitality and cabin rentals are fairly priced. Great for a fishing weekend get away and not far from hayward.

Loved this place! I went to it on my quest to get a tshirt by drinking at 6 resorts around chippewa flowage. This was one of the best places we visited! The waitress was so awesome! They have a cute gift shop. Absolutely one of the best bars on the flowage!
