$17 for the food is wild. The only good thing I had was the grapes. Even my coke was weird tasting. I’m typically not picky at all when it comes to Chinese buffets but this was not good. There were limited options and everything I tried was awful even the crab Rangoons which are normally my favorite. Do not recommend especially for the price.

I have always come here with my family as a child mind you I’m 25 now and gonna have a child of my own soon, I have always loved going here but now it’s obvious they aren’t interested in trying. My mother got pepper steak with onion and the meat was red and green obviously not fresh or cooked then when I confronted the lady in charge she looked at it stirred it and said it was “fresh and cooked” which I have pictures it was not. I wanted to get some too but just looking at I that meat in the buffet isle I could tell it looked off so I held off on getting it, unfortunately my mother did get it though and that meat was really nasty looking. And the only thing I care for in this restaurant is the damn jello cakes but when the jello cakes are left out to long the cake becomes hard and the jello - which is usually A thicker softer layer of color on top of the cake that tastes so delightful I could eat many more - became flat and icky, so obviously I went and asked for fresh cake so she directed me to the same icky cake I didn’t want, and I said fresh not this please and she said that the icky cakes were “fresh “ and the only cakes. No effort was made and I might just be annoying for complaining because I’m pregnant, but all I come here for is these cakes and recently every time I come it’s not fresh, after showing the owner the bad meat and bad cakes he didn’t say anything about the meat and then showed me his order placement paper for the cakes which showed as well that they were not fresh when I said so, but instead of him saying they were old and not fresh he said “they just always make it different that’s why it looks different this time” I give up on going here and if you want to keep going good luck let me know if they ever improve in the reviews but after these last couple years I’m officially done wasting money at this place! Also I should mention even though I’m obviously mainly upset about just the cakes I feel as though I should mention my mother said her chicken tasted like rubber. But hey at least the place had decent horchata and chocolate pudding so I had something good for my taste buds

If I could rate no stars I would. To start the cashier was to busy playing videos on his tablet to pay attention to us trying to pay and be seated. The food was cold and just plain gross. The food is served on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. Are we in kindergarten here?!The coke tasted like chemicals and the root beer was just as odd. There is no way they are using branded soda. What topped it off was the cashier sat down at the table next to us play more videos on his tablet. Loud enough for everyone else to hear. Should have seen the warning signs when there was only 4 others eating here at prime dinner time. It's mind boggling this place is in business. We will never go back!

This place used to be so good! The food was all really dry and chewy. On the 10 years since ive been i don't when they got rid of actual plates, utensils, and cups and replaced it with paper and plastic. Basically $20 per person is not worth it for microwaved tasting food =(

I went on a Monday night and it was probably the worst buffet experience I've ever had. I decided to bring my partner for a date and that was a mistake. The chicken was way too chewy, soda was improperly balanced, and the peanut butter chicken was hard as a rock. They only enjoyable part was the crab rangoons and dessert bar. You'd think that for a buffet that constantly changes our their food that it would be fresh and well made, but instead it was consistently overcooked and gross. Maybe just don't go on a Monday is all, because it was genuinely gross. Also I don't think they fully clean the soft serve machine, it was more ice than cream and tasted like a spoiled fudgesickle. I figured it would be the best part but it ended up a disappointment as well.

When we just want good food at a fair price without being rushed or constantly asked how we are doing, this is the place we choose. At The Covid episode, they switched from ceramic plates and stainless silverware, to plastic disposable plates and eating utensils. It seems to work there. The staff is friendly and the food is hot and fresh tasting at their clean serve yourself buffet.
The interior kind of takes me back to the 80's but I like it. If they returned their sushi bar, my husband would never go anyplace else.

I am dissatisfied. The restaurant now uses just Styrofoam plates and cups besides plastic utensils. There is no hibachi grill although beverages are self-serve and included in the price. However, I do not care to eat at Chinese buffet if the utensils are just disposable.

The food was decent. The seating area is bland. Styrofoam bowls, plates, and cups with plastic silverware. Jello had no flavor and was overly firm. There was no allergy warning that there was peanut sauce being served on the third buffet. French fries were good! Sweet and about chicken pieces were fairly good. Grapes were delicious.

The ladies' room made me feel extremely uncomfortable with the LAYERS of whatever is around the base of the toilet and the duct tape over the space between the stall wall and the door wall.

Overall, it could be way better but could be worse.

Everything is foam plates, bowls, drinking cups. Celebrated a very special event with another couple. Between the four of us we could not name a buffet item that was the bomb, crab ragoons 1 on food score, jello rubbery, small square cakes ,my favorite desert at the places scores a 1 most of these were hard no spongy. Beef broccoli was tough, chicken and veggies almost raw tasting, but the thing that really questioned whether this was a safe place to eat was the old plate cart. 1 pan has all uneaten food with plastic utensils. 1 plastic bin had foam plates stacked like they were gonna be reused somehow! The foam cup were the same way stacked one inside of another box till they filled to length, and bowls were saved in another. Kinda made me think why would you take the time to segregate foam dishes when you should be throwing them away ,why clean food off and dump liquids from cups? Something weird going on here. 30 minutes after eating there and wife and I were running for the bath rooms. 3 of us experience same gastrointestinal distress . Took one good look at place to remind us we are never going back!!

outside of restaurant was littered with a lot very old garbage, ie: a toothbrush covered in dirt, c-butts & misc crud. very sad
inside was dingy, old & beat up. the women's bathroom was recently mopped & a lot of water remained, plus the stalls had duck tape holding the walls together, felt gross.
most of food was very greasy, over fried egg rolls, just not appealing.
I'm sure they are making a good profit, since more than 30 people were eating in the 45 min we were there.

This is a review of my most recent visit in comparison with many previous visits. Everything seems to have gone downhill. Usually the drink dispensers near the fountain drinks are full of horchata in one and lemonade on the other. I asked about it and a lady came from the back with two open cups. One with lemonade and the other with lukewarm horchata. Everyone in my party had fountain soda and they all said something was wrong with them. Turns out the fountain drinks were watered down. Don't know when or if we'll come back, and we've been coming for several years.

I came in to order take out and I was charged what it weighted, I asked the sir if I could have sriracha sauce and I asked for 5 keep in mind the container are very very small and he doesn’t even fill them all the way up they fill it up half way of the container which is why I asked for 5 and he said no in a very rude way. I've been patronizing NCB, more/less, 20 years. Food quality and selection has always been decent. Yes, sometimes the food wasn't up to par as in past visits. Go when it's busy because the food will turn over faster and thus be fresher. I never thought the selection was lacking. There's always someone cleaning the empty booths and tables. Prices are getting a little high, imo. I was skeptical of the styrofoam plates, cups and plastic silverware. But honestly it isn't that bad.

I'm going off experience of other budget friendly buffets. The food wasn't too bad. A good amount of selection. Lots of fresh fruit and a decent amount of desserts. I wouldn't eat much of the seafood options except the fried fish (but add lemon for flavor cuz there's none). The seafood options had too much of the seafood taste. Stick to the pork, chicken, and beef options. My faves were the pork dumplings, and sweet and sour chicken. I unfortunately didn't get to try any soups. Another downside was the styrofoam.. if u have something hot it will make holes in the plate or bowl. Service was great and they cleaned my table almost everytime I got up.

This place is terrible!! We haven't been there in the restaurant for 3 years or so.. we paid $15.99 per person for dinner, walk into dinning area, paper plates plastic utensils foam cups and bowls, the food omg the food was horrible!! One whole station food area was empty used for storage, the food had hardly any meat in it, too many vegetables not enough meat, I honestly can say that the only thing I remotely liked was the fried chicken! Everything else was just awful!!! Total waste of money! I'd never ever go there again and would never tell anyone to go there!!

Did the buffet and love the variety - from basic staples to some more fun options and lots of desserts. I loved all the fresh fruit, and they even had pizza and chicken for my son.
Signs could include a bit more detail about the food options on the buffet, but the staff is available to explain. Wish they were using real plates and silverware, but understand this may be cheaper than hiring additional staff. The place could use some updates to the seating area, but overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and our food.

I will be honest, this place doesn’t seem very inviting from the road. They recently ..finally fixed some of the landscaping which was very neglected. They also fixed the sign which the wind took out about a year ago. But fillling the shrub beds with some stones helped greatly.
I believe this was a Sizzler at one point and it still appears this way inside.. but that’s just fine. The owners are always here.. I often wonder if they get a day off. The ladies that bus the tables are quiet but hard workers and I always make sure I tip them, and so should You.
The Food? Amazing. It’s always hot and fresh when we go, normally on a Saturday for dinner. Yes they have styrofoam plates and bowls and plastic utensils.. so what? It’s VERY clean. My only complaint. The soda is “off” and somewhat a strange taste. Very syrupy and almost makes you thirstier but it IS included and the bottled water is a refreshing option. Also, I feel corners are cut with pre prepared fried rice. I’m not a fan of it and I love egg drop soup but the Egg Drop here is too thick for a soup. But everything else is great.
I wish this location had Sushi.

This was one of the more surreal restaurant experiences I've ever had. All flatware and dishes were plastic or styrofoam. The selection of food was rather limited for a buffet, and the food was extremely bland. It was similar in texture and quality to the stuff you get out of the freezer section at the grocery store. Lo mein was unseasoned and inexplicably oily.
A chinese buffet is a chinese buffet to a certain extent-- we know what we are walking into-- but there's generally a better sense of pride of ownership in restaurants than the absolute lack thereof you get here. Used to like going here years ago came back and it was honestly one of the worst meals I’ve eaten. Struggled to find one of the items to eat as everything was subpar or terrible

Absolutely horrible! food was not edible, served on paper plates and Styrofoam cups, very cheep when we payed 50$ for 3 people. All of the food tasted frozen, pls do not come here, we will never be coming back, that's for sure.

I've probably made my last visit. I'm not a fan of disposable plates, cups, and cutlery, but I could overlook that if the food was good. This time, however, was very disappointing. The General Tso's chicken was mostly deep fried breading with little chicken to show for it. The peanut butter chicken was the same. The rice seemed dried out. Also, and I know that the restaurant can't control this, but the woman sitting behind me had the loudest, foulest mouth I've heard this side of a pirate vessel. Stay classy, lady.

Had stopped for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the verity of food on the buffet. All was hot and fresh and quite tasty. I'll be back again.

One of the hot food steam tables that used to be full of food options has been empty for years now. For how large the buffet pretends to be, it is a bit lacking in entrees especially entrees with vegetables. The salad bar/dessert table is the largest of the food areas and it's unnecessarily big... more space should be dedicated to a greater selection of hot Chinese food.

What percentage of customers actually want a pan full of crawfish? Why is the deep-fried, sweet glazed chicken dish (General Tso's or something along those lines) so TOUGH and seemingly devoid of actual chicken? It's mostly just super tough fried batter.

The overall quality of food is merely fair, and frankly ANY other Chinese buffet you can find is better including the New China Buffet location on South Hwy 100. I've been eating at Chinese buffets once or twice monthly in the Milwaukee and Madison areas for 25 years. For noticeably higher quality Chinese food buffets, check out the weekday lunch buffets at Golden Gate in Waukesha, Confucius House on South Hwy 100 and King's Wok on Capitol Drive in Pewaukee. Chen's Kitchen in Mukwonago and Asian Buffet in Menomonee Falls are also medium to large buffets that also offer their buffets at dinnertime.

One positive thing I can say about New China Buffet in Waukesha is that beverages are included in the price which is rather rare.

Service is ok. I think it's cultural but it's nice. Food was fresh and hot and DELICIOUS!!!! I would definitely recommend their shrimp egg foo young to go. It is AMAZING!

This is by fare the best buffet in waukeshua yes you have to eat on Styrofoam plates and use plastic whare but the amount of options as well as the quality of the food makes up for that. Staff are very friendly and always ready to take you old plates away .
