Delightful little market and deli - the house red is recommended! The ambiance on a sunny afternoon is comfortable and uplifting. Service is both friendly and prompt. We hear from family the food is excellent but we didn't order any so cannot rate it.

I just had the most delicious Cubano Sandwich. I’ve been here quite a few times before but wow, today I’m amazed. I can’t have dairy and they easily accommodated my restrictions. The service is kind. Kids meals are pricy, but worth it in my opinion. Every time I’m here I love it; can’t wait to come back .

Chris and Sarah have a delightful deli in the heart of Viroqua. They serve local meats and cheeses in a variety of sandwiches. All very tasty. Add to it a selection of beverages, comfy chairs, and a friendly staff and you find a winner.

We just left lunch here. It was fine- that’s it. A sandwich is $15 and comes with nothing, quite small. Service is extremely slow- we ordered a sandwich, two kids meals, and a salad and it took 50 minutes to arrive.
With Driftless Cafe next door, this is an absolute pass, especially if you’re with your kids.

The food is expensive, small portions but what we did eat was delicious! The food was fast and local. My husband and I will definitely be back but it is a treat! Only complaint is the service is a little lacking and less than enthusiastic.

Best restaurant in Viroqua! The service is first class and the sandwiches are the best I’ve ever had. They are so welcoming to children, and go out of their way to make parents and kids have a great experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Technically a 4.5, but I round up for culinary sorcery and general fabulousness.)
Listen. If you’re cruising through Viroqua and don’t stop at Nobel Rind Cheese Shop, I’m just going to assume your taste buds are on strike. This place is a dairy-fueled fever dream in all the best ways—and their sandwich game? Next. Level.
I had the Cuban and the Reuben because I have no self-control and zero regrets. The Cuban was a smoky, tangy, perfectly pressed beast—like a Miami vacation on sourdough. And that Reuben? OOF. That thing came in hot with melty cheese, juicy corned beef, and enough sauerkraut sass to make me audibly gasp mid-bite. Both were 4.5/5 bangers, but Google doesn’t do halves, so here’s your honorary fifth star, Nobel Rind. You’ve earned it.
The cheese counter itself? Dangerous. It’s giving “I came for a snack and left with a mortgage on a wedge of aged alpine.” The staff? Knowledgeable and charming, like if a sommelier and a Wisconsin grandma had a baby who could pair gouda with gossip.
This isn’t just a sandwich stop—it’s a lifestyle choice. And I, for one, am ready to commit.

Noble Rind is a gem! Not only is the cheese selection thoughtfully curated, but everything in the shop from wine to cheese accompaniments to spices and hot sauces is chosen with care and an often local, small batch focus. Everything we have tried from the food menu has been spot on, and sandwiches are generously filled with the meats, veggies, and cheeses that define them. The owner, Sarah, is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, and her team goes above and beyond. Not to be missed if you are visiting the area, and worth the drive if you aren’t! Thanks Noble Rind team!

The sandwiches have nothing to hold them together. The tunafish was tasteless and fell apart as you ate it. The pastrami sandwich also just fell apart when attempting to eat it. As Bobby Flay says, a sandwich needs “glue” to hold it together.

Well, my addiction to Noble Rinds, house made focaccia and sliced Mortadella has been satisfied for the time being. When in viroqua or at concerts in the park I make sure to get a hit of the good stuff. Also the black coco brownies, a symphony of rich chewy goodness for my taste buds. Obviously would recommend.

I am not the same person that I was before eating the local cheese board. I entered the Noble Rind young, stupid, uncultured, and a larva. I didn't hand the lovely cashier 17$ with any inkling of the transformation of self I was about to enter. This gorgeous spread was placed in front of me as I sat by the window, people watching, as usual. Immediately impressed by the plating of this board, I was even more impressed at the taste of everything. The cheeses selected in this local board have proven to me once and for all that Wisconsin reigns king of cheese. As I started eating the cheese and various delicious charcuterie adornments, I felt myself grow two inches taller. My fingernails now grow healthier, I see more shooting stars, and the bumblebees smile at me as I walk by. When I was served this board, the sun was shining, I had my whole day ahead of me, but when I finished it felt as if only seconds had passed yet I looked out the window and it was dark and the moon was shining. After experiencing these three beautiful cheeses which some are calling the holy trinity, I have emerged from my chrysalis a beautiful butterfly- forever changed by the Noble Rind.

Unfortunately I am disappointed way too many times that we were thinking about not going back. When buying prosciutto, and the owner cuts it for us, she did it the right way. 1 slice at a time so we would be able to make a nice sandwich with think slices. When the owner is not there, what we get is a clump of hamburger like prosciutto that is impossible to separate, so we get this thick hunk of meat like in the picture I post here. You would think the owner explained to the employees why they invested on the meat slicer. Why bother slicing the meat that thin if you’re just going to stack them on top of each other? If we want a thick chunk of cured ham on our sandwich, we’d get ham. Some education of how to properly packaged prosciutto is much needed. Why the willfulness of the employees… I would never understand! The 1st time this happened, it was a 16 oz order. Imagine the disappointment when we got home. The 2nd time, we had to ask to make sure they slice and put the divider paper but ordered 4 oz just to make sure. They did it right.. owner was in the store though that day. The 3rd time, another 16 oz of hamburger after asking them to not stack them on top of each other. They failed us angain. After not visiting the store for almost 6 months, we drove by viroqua one day and decided to have lunch and got 4oz prosciutto again… another clump! My heart breaks every time I open the package and finding a slab instead of a properly cut Jamon.
Not sure we’ll do that again. I’ll get the prosciutto from the coop from now on. A lesser quality prosciutto is better than a lump of ham that does not serve what prosciutto is supposed to be. Disappointed.

Delicious food and friendly, welcoming atmosphere/service. Seating area was super comfortable. We got The Local charcuterie board, squash soup, and the kale Caesar salad. Portions were large, and everything was yummy! We loved the shopping with different gourmet treats/foods to purchase as well. I recommend going and checking out The Fortney Hotel attached/next door too. Beautiful spaces.

What a place to sit and enjoy great food with friends or family! We had sandwiches with the grandparents, and every one of us loved our meals. I had the vegetarian sandwich -- the medley flavors and textures was exquisite. The cheesecake -- yum! Add to that a shop with treats from around the world, an incredible cheese selection -- it is clear that care goes into everything they do here. Add the super friendly staff, and this has become one of our favorite places to eat.

A hidden gem in the heart of eclectic Viroqua.
It doesn't dissapoint.
Scrumptious desserts and vibrant coffee are just two of the amazing delights they offer. For the hungry appetite they have sandwichs to please the palate. Along with specialty cheeses.
Don't miss out if you land in town and your looking for something unique.

I can't say enough about Nobel Rind. They have the cutest atmosphere for a glass of wine with a friend, their charcuterie is amazing, and they have the best sandwiches in town. The first time I had one of their sandwiches (The Sophia Loren), it was the GOAT of sandwiches, a.k.a. the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. When I brought their sandwiches home for my family, they all said the same thing! Thank you Nobel Rind for setting up shop in Viroqua!
P.S. Their truffles are amazing!!

Noble Rind did a FANTASTIC job accommodating many catering needs we had for our wedding! They supplied late night sandwiches that our guests RAVED about and made beautiful salads and charcuterie boards for our rehearsal dinner that were a real hit and presented beautifully. Sarah and her team does everything with care and love and knows how to make you feel like you are the most important person in the room. Her team even packaged up the leftovers from our rehearsal dinner for us, a gesture completely above and beyond. Come here once and you will be a customer for life! Thank you Sarah!

I have been a fan of Noble Rind since Day 1 and they just continue to get better and better. I love that Sarah changes her menu with the seasons as there is always something new and absolutely delicious to try. I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Noble Rind and I would recommend anything I've tried. I also have Sarah create charcuterie boards for meetings and they are always a hit with my clients, and I love getting blocks of cheese from her specialty cheese case to gift. You are always welcomed with a warm smile and the atmosphere is always inviting. Now, with the integration of being able to experience Noble Rind as a guest at The Fortney Hotel, it elevates your stay and makes it that much more special.

Sometimes, you eat a meal that is so effortlessly perfect that you are forced to wonder why eating one is so rare. I ordered the Wisconsin Cubano and French onion soup, and both were beyond amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and filling! I cannot recommend this spot too highly. We also brought a maniacal two-year-old to dine with us, and the staff was both accommodating of and patient with his insanity.

Admittedly I was a spill over from the Driftless Cafe being too busy to seat me. I tried the Reuben sandwich and a NA Guinness Draught. The energy in the shop was palpable. I experienced one of the best Reuben sandwiches of my 63 years! The shop is bright and cheery and the cheese counter was fantastic. I'll definitely be back!

I love Noble Rind! First we tried a bite to eat in the store. The store is cozy and inviting. The cheese and meat selections along with other crackers, spreads, pickles, oils, etc... all are amazing. Sarah offers a sample so you know what you are getting. After loving the store, I asked her to cater charcuterie boards for my daughter's wedding. She made small boards for the bridal party while they got ready and a beautiful big charcuterie board for the reception. Everybody raved at how good and the exceptional quality of the entire spread. We will definitely be back and definitely order more boards. Sarah, you and your team are absolutely wonderful!!

Sarah is wonderful to work with! She made a beautiful Charcuterie board for my baby shower, I asked for meat and cheese and she was so kind to add a yummy assortment of nuts and olives as well! She topped it off with cute little flowers and green floral garnish. Also told her my favorite bread was sour dough and she made sure to cut up some fresh sour dough bread and include that as well. Came with delishious organic crackers also! Got sooo many compliments on the looks and taste of everything on the board. Would highly recommend this place for any board you're looking for (she's very flexible and will customize your board to what you want) or if you need a place to get lunch! I've had lunch there as well and her food/desserts are the best! High quality and very reasonably priced. Would definitly recommend this place!!!

So many things. This place is not only adorable and cozy (not to mention clean), but it also soo delicious. I ordered the Midwest Cubano with a cup of the roast red pepper and tomato soup. The soup was a perfect blend of both flavors, and the cubano with the pickles … mama Mia. I asked for a side of “something spicy” and Sarah (the owner) gave me a side of delicious spicy sauce that was not Midwest at all. Everything about the meal and experience was exactly what I wanted. Almost like a lunch at a little French cafe, but in the heart of small town Viroqua.
