I’m not sure why this restaurant has only received a 4.1 rating. Every time we’ve dined at Nana Wells, the experience has been outstanding. The food is consistently truly fabulous and the pizza is baked to perfection. Everything about this restaurant reflects quality and care. The owner and staff are always helpful, courteous, and attentive to customers. I confidently give Nonna's Pizzeria and Pub a 5-star rating.

Having moved relatively recently from Chicago to Racine we were, of course, interested in finding good pizza. Everybody said "Wells Bros"! so we went and it was very good, Chicago good but because of that, they're too busy and when you need a pizza, well you know. Then we were tipped to a little secret ~ Nonna's in nearby Sturtevant! Just as good, nay, Better than Wells!
Again tonight, Wells is too busy, can't pick up the phone. Nonna's to the rescue a few short miles west! A delectable meat-lovers pizza was ready! Thank you Nonna's ~we're on your team.

Pizza burned. Food seemed to be put back in oven to warm up, ie, lid on appetizer sauce melted, coleslaw no lid and hot. Surcharge for debit/credit roughly saving business $70,000/yr that the customer is picking up. Whoever thought of that probably wonders why people have quit going out to eat. We used to eat out 3-4 x week. Now we get carry out maybe once a month and pay cash thereby saving on cost of drinks and suggested tips of 20% which can add +$15 to bill. Every time we’ve gone here we have been disappointed. Won’t be coming back.

WATCH OUT if you're having a salad with Italian dressing at Nonn a's. I had an ambulance ride to the ER about 3 hours after our dinner, with severe diarrhea and vomiting, chills and extremely weak. Spent 6 hours in the ER to find out from the doctor that I had severe food poisoning. My husband called them, they offered a free pizza, SERIOUSLY. I just wanted to share my experience and warn diners of my experience. I have some health issues and getting sick from tainted food is a scary and dangerous thing for me. Keep safe ..... avoid Nonna's.

Been here before, pizza is great! Had the fish fry platter, soup, pasta side tonight. Very disappointed. Fish was fried way to long, way overcooked.Fry the fish by temperature, not till it floats (that does not mean it's done). Fish pieces that size don't take long to fry. Pasta & sauce were tasteless, wasn't very hot either. I'll be back, but just for pizza 🍕

First, the hostess happily seated our group of 7 including a wheelchair even though we hadn't thought to make a reservation.
Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive even as she got busier.
Our group had pizza, of course, mushroom ravioli, and chicken pesto pasta. They were all delicious!
At the end of the visit, one of us lost his phone in the parking lot. They went above and beyond to help reunite them and didn't accept a monetary thank you.

We have visited here multiple times. I love their apps! We have also enjoyed their pizza as well and trying the different toppings they offer. My biggest recommendation for the owner is to add in a baby-changing station in both of the restrooms. For being a family-friendly restaurant, it was extremely disappointing to bring my daughter out to dinner with us and need a space to change her and go to the restroom to find there was nowhere to go and have to go out to my car in the cold and rain.

My job put in a $400 order on Friday (to be ready for pickup on Tuesday at 11:40am)... I get there to pick up and they can't find the order. Come to find out, "someone" stapled order receipt to "wrong" day (a Monday - they're closed on Mondays)... Had to sit and wait while they made the food. Myself and some family stopped here for a late lunch about a month ago. I had heard that the pizza was very good and it really is! I would have no problem getting the pizza again any time! The meatballs and salads were very good also.
I only had 2 concerns with our visit. The pasta seemed a little chewy and it was like that in 2 of our dishes. We were the only ones that ordered pasta. The taste of the dish was good other than the pasta texture. The other concern was with the service. The place had started to clear out from lunch but we still didn't get much attention from our waitress. No refills on beverages and it took a while to get our bill.
In general, everyone was friendly and the place is worth going to again. The issues we had could have been just the day and I would be happy to visit here again - Especially for the pizza!

I usually like going to this place, decent food relaxing inside and nice staff. I would just like to note the new “vegan” pizza option, is not allergy friendly. I have been dairy free due to my baby having a dairy allergy. We told the person over the phone that someone in the house has a dairy allergy and ordered the cauliflower crust pizza with vegan cheese option. Confirming it was all dairy free. My baby had a reaction right after I ate it, thankfully she doesn’t have severe reactions or I wouldn’t eat anywhere especially a pizza place of course but if you can’t accommodate an allergy safely don’t say you can. :(

We ordered two individual pizzas. Both came with a burnt crust. Also ordered lasagna to go. Had I had the lasagna while I was there it would have been sent back. The noodles were hard and rubbery and really thick. And there really wasn't much taste to the lasagna. I've had their meatballs also and they were just okay. I don't see any reason to go back anytime soon. I know they're always busy so maybe we just hit a time where the food wasn't as good as it normally as I don't know. Terrible service- they said they didn’t serve pizza until 12:15 so with 3 little kids we struggled to find other options on the menu- when we finally put in our order, we saw several other tables have pizza. The waitress was not attentive at all but they automatically get gratuity which in my opinion I think she didn’t want us to order pizza so we would have a larger $ order and automatically get a big tip (as she knew ahead of time we were using our $100 gift card). The chubby blonde hair girl is RUDE as heck! Food is okay, nothing to brag about. Don't ask for sauce on your wings because apparently there is an additional charge not mentioned anywhere on the menu. Menu said 13.50 for wings and fries, ended up paying $16. Prices are quite high for okay food.

This place is garbage. Just a short order kitchen that does lots of microwave work. Nothing is fresh and made daily. It appears things are made weekly and reheated with microwave. At the time of order. If you get lasagna or any kind of pasta it will leak pools of water out everywhere indicating that it was frozen and certainly reheated. I love eating here. The staff is always friendly and the service is wonderful. I had the chicken Parmesan. It is cooked perfectly. My grandson, Nick, had the Goomba. It was huge. Went for fish fry last night. The food was great, nice and hot. However the service wasn’t the best, it’s usually better. It took about 10-15 min for us to even get the server to the table for our drink order. We then waited for our bill, then waited again for her to pick up the bills!! We left it on the table (which I don’t like to do). On our way out I stopped at the front desk where two young girls were ON THEIR PHONES! I said as I walked out, ‘when u girls can get off ur phones long enough to work, please tell our server we left the money on the table!!’ These actions of phone use at businesses is ridiculous. The atmosphere at Nonna's is pleasant and welcoming. Lots of windows in the dining area making it nice and bright. When being seated in the actual path of the sunlight, the staff automatically closed the blinds without us needing to ask. The only reason for the 4 stars is because it was VERY warm in there. We needed to end our evening earlier than expected due to getting overheated. I get it. Not everyone has the same internal thermostat and the seasonal changes makes it difficult at certain times of the year to maintain a common level of comfort, but I just wish there was an easy fix.

Our server was very friendly and cheerful without being fake. She was attentive without being annoying, and was very pleasant. Would definitely like to have her again.

The food was delicious. Actually still is as I am having my leftovers right now for lunch! My friend and I each ordered a calzone, and I added breaded mushrooms as a side to mine. Mine was sausage, pepperoni, and black olives. What I love about calzones is that they do not have the sauce inside, rather it is served as a dip. Too many pizza places use WAY too much sauce and drown the flavor of everything else. Not to mention the acidity often causes heartburn. I get it. You're proud of your sauce. And you should be. But the calzone lets you have the delicious pizza, but control the amount of sauce to your own liking. The mushrooms were done perfect. Very crunchy but not overdone. Excellent.

All-in-all I'm happy we decided to try Nonna's. We had a great experience.

Ordered the 14" cheese pizza with pepperoni, sausage and bacon. When it arrived I was in disbelief, this thing was not 14", it was closer to 16! The taste was good, but the toppings were not evenly distributed Among the pizza many areas were there were piles of black olives and then none anywhere else. Really terrible service. Our first time there and unfortunately, our last. 2.5 hours from time we walked in to time we finally got our bill. Food was OK, but definitely not worth a 2nd visit. Asked for well done pizza, but wasn't even close. Ordered cheese sausage pizza, but there was hardly any sausage. 20% gratuity added to party of 8, even though the service sucked. Booked a reservation for 30 a week ahead. The staff was very helpful and the food was great. We were place in a private room and the staff was always present to help. It was a really great experience.

Update 10/15/2023 - unfortunately the consistency is very lacking recently, with issues on each order (for the last 4+ visits). I suspect it's because the restaurant is SO loud that staff can't accurately place phone-in orders. Our latest order of two calzones both had the wrong ingredients. Updating my review to four stars to reflect the poor service.
