Loved this place months ago, chicken fried rice was the best I have ever had. The chicken was always sauced perfectly with the toasted seeds. The last 2 times I have ordered from here there hasn't been much of a sauce at all and chicken is very chewy and plain with no seeds. Presentation has been poor and just overall disappointed compared to what I have gotten in the past.

If this was 6 months ago, I'd be giving this place 5 stars. I used to order from them a LOT. I had a sushi addiction for a while. However, as a long time customer, I've seen the quality of the sushi go so far down, I will not be returning as a customer.
Today was the final straw when I ordered 2 different sushi rolls. They stuffed both rolls in 1 container, and the crab roll was not prepared correctly at all. It was just a slice of fake crab meat, not even broken apart or anything, still in the stick form, in the middle of a seaweed taco shell. I say this because none of my rolls were connected.
I could have done a better job at home, ill be making my own from now on.
I'll miss the good sushi they used to serve 🥲

The friend rice was perfect! Some places it can be too oily, but here they did great. And it had little mini pieces of vegetable in it.
The steak was cooked just how I had asked it to be done. No problems!
The vegetables in the brown sauce were the perfect blend of crunchy, yet soft.

The only thing was the friend egg. It was probably cooked on top high of heat. Very brown.

I would certainly try this place again!

We were in the area and thought we would give it a try.
We're given menus to look at and could sit anywhere. When we were ready, back up to the counter to order.
We were there to eat sushi and wished there were more pictures to make sure we knew what we would be getting but it did not disappoint! Very nice presentation and very tasty sushi and Takoyaki (this appetizer did come a little after our sushi rolls)
Very fast and friendly service. Almost served someone else's fried rice and that looked really good as well.
Many people came in for take out while we were sitting there waiting so we thought it must be good food! Will definitely be back to try other dishes!

Just finished eating $116 worth of sushi with my family and wanted to share. Stats- we ordered 8 rolls 2 dinners and 2 rangoons ( they threw in a squid salad for free.) We ordered take out and when I went to pick up said nourishment the staff was supremely friendly, happy and professional. They gave me a free salad and a discount. The sushi was great!! The squid salad had just the right amount of flavor with overpowering the squid and my whole family thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!! Thank you nori sushi keep up the good work. The first thing I noticed was the smell of cigarettes within the entryway. It may have been from the last person who stood outside to smoke, as it didn't linger inside the building itself.
Entering the dining area, there weren't any customers, but one unoccupied table with used dishes from someone's dinner. There was a mop and bucket occupying the same area as the dining tables.
As I'm picking up my To Go order, they tell me they're out of the Taiyaki and insisted I pick anything else off the menu. They called earlier and said they would refund the taiyaki, but now wanted me to pick something else so there ended up being no refund. I'm easily pressured unfortunately and chose the eel roll, which was ~.50 less than the taiyaki.
I went home with my Combo A order and eel roll. Almost all of the raw fish was warm. Salmon and tuna nori especially. The California roll that came with the combo left much to be desired, as it consisted mainly of imitation crab slurry and warm cucumber slices.
The eel roll had bones still in it, which was incredibly disappointing. Nothing flavorful. The best part of the meal was maybe the rice, which was only standard. I ordered from Nori when they first opened and had the same experience, so I can't say I'll be coming back again.

Bar none, the best sushi place I've been to in Wisconsin. It's fast, it's extremely reasonably priced and the portions are fantastic.

I get the sweet potato roll, sushi roll, salmon nigiri almost every time and they're phenomenal. The staff is super friendly and recognizes us even after coming here three times. This has become our go to spot to eat in Sheboygan.

Huge plus, they don't play birthday music at 105 decibels like other sushi places in Sheboygan 😁

First time trying. It was OK. Got the Yummy sushi, pretty good. Husband got the teriyaki chicken and shrimp. Flavor was so so, chicken was dry, barely any shrimp. Crab Rangoon for an appetizer. Where do I start? The place overall is really dark inside. The floors were sticky, and the bathrooms smelled bad. Kitchen door was open, and place looked a mess. Employee was outside when we arrived and he didn't look to pleased to have to go in and take my order. The menu was ok, but the prices are kinda high. We ordered our food, and it seemed like it took forever to get it. Our sushi was too fishy smelling, and our steak felt like rubber. Our rice was also crunchy. It tasted like it was old and sitting out all day. The soda was in a bottle, you could at least offer a fountain drink. By the time i received my food, my drink was half gone. And you don't even get a refill. Overall not a good experience. I wanted to like this place, but I'll have to stick to Umi.

The first time I went to Nori, several months ago, the food and service was great! A friend and I went back this weekend and things had taken a turn for the worse. The young lady behind the counter was outgoing and personable, welcoming us as soon as we came in. After that, it was downhill.

We placed orders for chicken fried rice and yakisoba (noodles) with shrimp, thinking since there was only one other patron in the restaurant that we would be eating soon. Oh, so wrong!

The floor over by the tables was horribly sticky... like shoes making noise with every step. We sat down and waited... and waited.... annnnndd waited for our food. (Don't know the exact time because seriously, who thinks your order is going to take 20 minutes plus?)

The couple that placed their order after us sat down a few tables away. All of our food was brought out at the same time. The chicken fried rice was horrible tasting (brought home and tossed out) and the shrimp were SO overcooked and tough. They were burned on one side (no, it wasn't the seasoning.. they. were. burned.) The veggies were ok... good texture but the noodles had no flavor at all so they needed to be doused in soy sauce.

We were thanked as we left... great personality but the food was barely edible.

Always excited for a new sushi option so we tried Nori tonight. To start we had the Gyoza and Egg Rolls, then did a Spicy California Roll, Salad with Ginger Dressing, and Chicken & Steak Teriyaki.

The staff was extremly courteous, quick, and food came out fast.
This restaurant is best suited to function like a takeout place. Seating is ample, decor is flat - no real atmosphere, but there is no beverage service, not even water. The only beverages available are bottled water and soda.

The appetizers were decent, but nothing to write home about. It was obvious from the flavor that the egg rolls and gyoza are bought in - egg rolls are frozen, not fresh. The dumpling sauce with the gyoza was flavorful, but a little on the vinegary side (which I persoanlly like).

The California Rolls were not to the standard you would expect from an Itame, but they were okay. The vegetables inside were all different sizes/shapes, and the roll did not stay together but the flavor is what I expected.

The ginger dressing is overwhelmingly ginger - needs to be balanced with other flavors to tone down the ginger flavor - and I say that as someone who LOVES fresh ginger.

The teriyaki was the most disappointing part of the meal. There was absolutely no flavor. It was obvious the cook threw chunks of grilled chicken and steak in a pan and heated it up. It was not tossed in teriyaki sauce or seasoned in any way.

If you are looking for some quick service appetizers and are on that side of town, Nori will definitely hit the mark. I cannot, however, recommend the rest of their menu at this time.

For the price you pay, one would expect a nice sit down sushi restaurant experience, what you actually get is an experience that can only be compared to food court at a mall. The food also took forever to come come out and there was practically no one in the restaurant at the time. It's frustrating to watch to go order after to go order get made and leave and your left hungry. Once the food did come out they messed up one and forgot one of our dishes. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is the food did taste good. However I must say I will most likely not be going back. It's just not worth the money for the experience they offer, and if I wanted to eat sushi with to go order style condiments and place settings I could go to festival and buy sushi there.

I've traveled and lived in many coastal areas, from Seattle to California and even the upper Northeast sampling various sushi offerings, hibachi and teriyaki along the way. With that said I think locals should give Nori Sushi & Grill a fair shot. I went for some take out and the service was great. Everyone was kind and attentive and the food came out quick and fresh. I sampled the spicy tuna roll and the Boston roll. While closely packed and sauced well, both tasted fresh and I didn't need wasabi or soy sauce. Then I tried the chicken teriyaki. It was good, the chicken was fresh and the grilled veggies were a nice crisp and tasty addition. The chicken was cut into bit sized pieces instead of sliced like you see in the Northwest U.S. but it was flavorful and I finished my portion. I also had the fried rice which was good and perfectly executed along with the added fried egg. All in all this was a great experience and I wish Nori Sushi & Grill all the best. The location was not ideal (traffic wise) and I have yet to dine inside, but if you haven't had sushi, good teriyaki or hibachi and are a stubborn brat and burger person who lives in their pajamas all day and eats hot pockets, just move on. If you like flavor, adventure and something different, give it a shot, it's worth it. The prices are reasonable too.

I wasn't going to write this review, because I didn't want to disparage a new business with a negative review when my experience wasn't that terrible. Then, the diarrhea hit. For reference I live in Washington DC, and my regular sushi place, where I order about twice as much sushi, cost almost exactly the same price as what I got here, in Northern Wisconsin. Just as a reference, every other meal I've eaten here is a third the price of what I pay in DC. The miso soup, gyoza, and sushi taste exactly like what you would expect from a sushi place in a strip mall in Northern Wisconsin, their gyoza are definitely from the store and heated up according to the bag's directions, The miso soup is reasonably Priced but definitely from a packet, and had way too many scallions in it, and the sushi was certainly not made with anything fresh, I suspect the crab, described as snow crab, was actually imitation crab. All this, with no waiter, no ambience, no drink refills, and booths that look like they were bought second hand from Culver's, for $30 for one person. I don't know if there's better sushi in town, but if there isn't, then my recommendation is to avoid sushi in Sheboygan.

I got the steak & shrimp yakisoba, and my fiance got the salmon yakisoba, and it was very good. We will be back again!

Inconsistent... 2 visits to the Sheboygan location...
First time stopped in & ordered to go- veggie fried rice, it was excellent, no complaints. Ordered today cuz hubby also wanted to try it, called it in for pick-up. Veggie fried rice & shrimp fried rice. Veggie fried rice- very scimpy on the veggies-litteraly 7 slices of onion (and one was onion peel), a few mushrooms, and some zucchini and peas... but seems like extra carrots.... shrimp fried rice- looked like someone took a scoop out of it- not much in the container.
Super disappointed for the price - so we'll go back to Umi and stick to other local establishments

I got an advertisement for Nori in the mail and decided to try them out and am glad I did in the end! The restaurant itself is a decent roomy size and very clean to boot if not a little standard! Service was patient, quick, and very good all around! The food was good, not the best Japanese and sushi food I have had but still tasty and affordable! A good restaurant experience is topped by good food, try Nori out if you're in the area, I'd recommend it!

Very Loosely sushi rolled with soo much packed flavor. Raw salmon never tasted soo good. My son loved Every bite, very impressive.

Expensive, poor service and not very good quality. I ordered my food to go, came home to not have all my items. Called and went back and they didn’t even apologize. My family didn’t like the sushi. Didn’t taste fresh.

They just opened so I wasn’t expecting it to be THAT good, but was pleasantly surprised. Located in the old Cousins subs in the Taylor shopping center, the location and seating is just so-so, but the service and food was EXCELLENT. I have never seen takoyaki offered as an appetizer and the flavor took me back to when I lived in Japan, it was spot on, delicious! I had the Nori specialty roll and it was sooo good! I never had steak on a sushi roll before but they knock it out of the park with flavor and texture, can see why they named it the Nori roll. The service was great, grab a menu from the front or order at the register if you know what you want. The man working the register was super friendly and they got the order right, brought it to the table when it was ready (got it to go, the seats are a little too hard for having physical issues). So while the inside is a bit lacking in comfort, the food and people more than make up for it. I will definitely be a return customer (and it looks as though they have a loyalty program, good news for me). It’s a must, especially given that they deliver (not an option at our only other sushi place). Thank you so much for coming to Sheboygan, Nori Sushi and Grill! I wish you great success, kanpai!

Very polite service, very helpful over the phone and the menu had a lot of different choices to pick from! We ordered pickup and our order was perfect, everything tasted and looked amazing and was properly packaged so our hot food wouldn't heat up our sushi. The eggrolls were fresh and honestly so good i almost went back and got more. i highly recommend checking this place out if you havent yet, it will probably be my new favourite sushi place in town!

New restaurant just opened up today and we thought we would try it, called our order in and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes but I had to wait at least 10 minutes when I arrived since the order wasn't even made yet, they didn't seem busy at all, and once I got home and took the sushi out of the stapled bag the order was wrong 1 order of shrimp tempura not 2 and instant 3 orders of eel sushi, We definitely won't be ordering again from this place and we will stay with ordering from Umi's on 8th Street, Umi's restaurant is more reasonable priced for what you get and the sushi rolls taste better there plus you can get salad or soup with the lunch specials at Umi's & their offer a real Hibachi grill

More than just sushi, everything tasted right and it wasn’t very expensive like other joints here in Sheboygan. Expect a longer wait then most places as everything seems to be freshly made. Friendly cashier. Glad a place like this is in Sheboygan.
