How do I give six stars??? I was lost in the area and looking for something to eat when the pizza sign beckoned me into this unassuming little place. I had absolutely no idea what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. From the moment I stepped inside I had to deal with three of the sassiest (and sweetest) ladies I've encountered in a long time. They had me laughing nonstop and made the whole experience more enjoyable. The pizza and garlic bread were out of this world and reminded me of mama mia's in West Allis... turns out there is a connection and they use the same recipe (which explains why I ate an embarrassing amount of food tonight)! Needless to say, I will be back and I highly recommend this little spot if you're in the need for amazing pizza and fun people.

We used to visit North Lake Inn at least once every other month but lately the past few times we have been there we have been disappointed. Toppings have been reduced on the pizza from what it used to be. Thought I would give them another try this past Sunday and got a pizza to go sausage and onion. Once again sausage was very scarce on the pizza and whoever was making it pretty much just piled on the onions on two of the slices and the rest of the pizza had virtually nothing. Management needs to look into the kitchen staff. It’s unfortunate because we used to really enjoy going there. Don’t know if we’re going to be back.

I called to place a large togo order and when I questioned the pricing of the special being a different price than the Togo price (more expensive) for less food the “manager” maybe, hung up the phone on me without me even finishing the order. Extremely rude when all I was questioning is why it is more expensive for less food (no soup salad or dessert) just because it’s to go.

First time visiting. Old supper club atmosphere. Family friendly place. Our server suggested the garlic bread (seems to be a famous staple in this place). It was on the bland and greasy side for my taste, but maybe a good thing for your blood pressure. Mozzarella sticks were great. Ordered two small pizzas. The cheese pizza had a funny taste (we asked for extra cheese but I assume it was more mozzarella than other kind of cheese), maybe eggplant or other food. It was notorious enough my kid did not devour it as usual. Canadian bacon and pineapple was fine (don’t judge me). Marinara was fine. The site could do better (I’m spoiled by eating at Balistrieri’s on 68th Street in Milwaukee).

First time at this Italian restaurant in North Lake. Their menu is very similar in items and taste as the classic Mama Mia's from Milwaukee.

We ate at the bar. The place was busy, but we were still checked on regularly. The atmosphere reminds me of up north bars/restaurants.

I ordered the Lasagna special, which includes soup, salad, garlic bread, lasagna and ice cream. The soup was delicious; the salad was simple, lettuce with meat, cheese, pepperoncini, but the dressing made it special; the garlic bread made this trip worth it, thick crisp buttery, will go back just for this; I was initially disappointed in the lasagna, so much cheese made it hard to eat. Suggestion, start in the middle where the noodles and meat are and work your way out to avoid only cheese. Once I figured that out it was very good.

I will go back here again and could easily see raising this rating to a 5.

We moved out of state 2 years ago and have recently moved back. My wife, kids and I used to come here for dinner on a Friday or Saturday every week. We'd order a breaded mushrooms, pizza and chicken Alfredo to split. First, the waitress seemed flustered from the start. Our entree arrived before our appetizer because she forgot , but blames the cook staff. She also forgot one of our garlic breads. Pizza was good as usual, but the chicken Alfredo was absolutely atrocious. The portion size was less than half of what it was when we moved 2 years ago and double the price. For an Al a carte portion, we even questioned the server if it was correct because it used to come in a large bowl, not a small plate. You can tell from the picture the chicken is CANNED when it used to be grilled pieces and the Alfredo sauce now tastes like a cheap bag sauce. We aren't looking for a freebie or anything but she didn't offer anything, no apology, just kept going. Prices were outrageous for the service and quality we recieved tonight. After CRAVING NLI for over 2 years, we were completely and uterly disappointed. Pictures will be posted below. What a disappointment. And from the look of it, the only time the owner or manager respond to reviews is when they are positive reviews. So let's see if they even try to rectify the situation.

Phoned in an order for pick up tonight. Was told on phone 1/2hr wait for order to be complete. My husband arrived and kept waiting ( meanwhile dog panting in car). Asked 3x’s during a 1/2 hour of waiting inside. Each time he was told by 2 separate employees “A little bit yet” Finally the bar manager went on her own to check on our order. Let me preface this 3 star review by saying that I thoroughly enjoy the food here. It is delicious. But let me tell you, the service is below average.

When we arrived the place was not busy. We were seating right away near the bar. We (2 people) placed the drink order and it took 10 min to get the drinks. After that we placed the order and eventually got our food, without eating utensils. We had to go get them outselves from the stack that was on the bar. My order was wrong. Not a huge deal, it was just missing meat for the meat sauce. I felt it would have been petty to send that back. Not once did anyone ask if we needed more beverages during the meal so we had to find someone who was not our original server (she was too busy in the main dining area getting new orders because now it was the busier time of the evening).

After asking for the check it was an additional 20 minutes before I had to ask the bar tender (who was swamped already) if I could get my check. She walked away and I wasn’t sure if she was going to help me so I asked another server who was swamped and confused and then the bar tender came back and said she was going to do it.

I do plan on coming back because I do enjoy this place but I am hoping for a better experience.

Horrible management. They forgot some of our order. My husband went back to get the bread they did not put in the bag and they accused my husband of lying. No “I’m sorry for your inconvenience” BUT accused him of lying. They then gave him one order of bread instead of the 2 that they forgot to put in our order. I called to complain of the terrible service and asked for the manager and he laughed at me and told me he didn’t have time for me.
