I was very disappointed with my experience at this establishment and would not recommend it to anyone. During my visit, my friends and I were subjected to unprovoked harassment from a group of women in their 40s who were part of the bowling league. The first issue occurred when one of them approached our table, got uncomfortably close to my friend’s face, and said, “You’re scaring us do not walk behind us.” This was confusing and unnecessary, as we were two lanes away with two ball racks separating us. Despite not understanding the accusation, we remained polite and apologized. Shortly after, these same individuals reported us to the bartender, and a staff member came over to tell us to “stay in our lane” and “follow bowling etiquette.” We had been in our assigned lane the entire time. If specific etiquette rules exist, they should be clearly posted but none were visible. The league bowlers continued to make disrespectful comments such as, “We shouldn’t have to bowl next to people like them,” which was hurtful and completely uncalled for. If the bowling league cannot interact respectfully with the public, management should consider keeping league nights private rather than exposing paying customers to this kind of treatment. Adding to the frustration, our lane repeatedly malfunctioned. Despite pressing the service button multiple times, no one ever came to assist us. The bartender also appeared irritated with us and in an immature and unprofessional act she served a noticeably watered-down drink to my friend. We came simply to enjoy a fun, casual night of bowling, but left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. This experience was extremely disappointing, and we will not be returning.

When we arrived last night, it was clear that it some sort of league night, as there were multiple teams of people in matching outfits, announcements were made, etc. We were put on the furthest lane, which was fine because we were just there to have fun and we aren’t particularly good bowlers, and didn’t want to disturb the practice going on. I ordered the brisket tots and an amaretto sour, both were great. We bowled for a bit and then a woman two lanes down from us who was part of one of these teams got uncomfortably close to me while I was sitting at the table and asked us to not walk behind them while they were bowling because we “scared the shit out of them”. I had no idea what she was talking about and just assumed she was drunk, but I started making an effort to walk around the machine and stay out of their way. A while later our lane completely stopped working, and we pressed the phone button several times and no one showed up. We had to go over to the bar to ask for help and they moved us one lane over so that we were now right next to these ladies. We continued to bowl and they started glaring at us and whispering. Then a man who I assume was an employee, he never identified himself, asked us to use one lane courtesy. None of us are bowlers, we had no idea what he was talking about. He said we needed to take turns and not go at the same time as the people next to us. The night went on and the women next to us seemed to be purposefully taking forever to throw the ball. My friend went up to order a drink and overheard one of the ladies saying to the bar staff "We shouldn't have to bowl next to people like that." Later in the evening I ordered a cosmopolitan, and the bartender said "You mean a cosmo?" In a snobby voice. She then said she would go see if someone could make it. I was handed it and it was overflowing with ice, and it tasted like nothing. The proportions of ingredients were not correct at all and I couldn't even drink it. Overall an upsetting experience. Why not close down for the time the leagues are practicing if normal people are going to be shamed for not knowing anything about bowling?

Don't go on league nights.
We had a less than pleasant experience. My friends and I went to have a fun bowling night and it just so happened to be a league night (which we did not know). Little did we know we would be harassed all night. The group next to us complained to us that we were " scaring them" because we were bowling next to them (two lanes away).

We were not doing anything out of the ordinary and minding our own business. They complained to us more than once and sent someone else over to us to tell us that we didn't know anything about bowling etiquette. How are we supposed to know that we aren't supposed to bowl at the same time as someone who is two lanes over from us? If there are certain rules we are supposed to follow pertaining to this, they should be visibly posted somewhere for people who are not aware of them. They further then complained to the staff about us, stating that they shouldn't have to bowl near people like us, and visibly pointed fingers.

Mind you, this was a group of 40-plus-year-old adults, not teenagers.

The staff then proceeded to act coldly to us and watered down our last drinks. Also, the drinks were pricey for the amount of alcohol in them. It made for a very hostile environment for people who are just trying to bowl for fun. We will not be coming back. If the leagues who play here behave like this, there should not be lanes that are publicly available on those nights. They should have the whole place to themselves so people "like us" don't bother them by having a fun night out and minding our own business.

Every single time I go to Northstar I get great service, great food, and great vibes! Their pizza 10/10. I also have never been able to find fried mushrooms that aren't extremely wet and soggy but OMG their fried mushrooms are absolutely amazing. The place is very big inside. There is plenty of room for get-togethers. Bartenders are very friendly and fast at getting to you.
Large seating area. Free parking with plenty of space.
Easy access in and out of the place.

Northstar has come a very long ways since 111 Alliance purchased northstar little over 2yrs ago. The lanes/bar are always clean the servers an staff make you feel welcome! One thing that is really nice is now during league bowling they have a server working the Lanes trying to make sure all the bowlers have food an refreshments. We held our son’s wedding reception at Northstar. Brian and his crew did an outstanding job taking care of us. The guests gave so many compliments on the chicken and beef tips that I lost count. We got a hotel room for the night as a fun activity for our kids. The hotel was under renovations, so the arcade was closed. We headed over to Northstar Lanes and ended up doing 1 game of bowling.

For our family of 5, we spent $32 on bowling, shoe rental, 4 kiddie cocktails and a tap beer.

Service was great and kind, lanes are clean and well taken care of and we had a blast.

We'd absolutely go back if we're up here again.
