Searched for brewpubs during our travels along Hwy 10 and found Northwoods. It took us a bit of effort to find the place, as there was a lot of road construction and detours in town. But we're glad we made the effort. We were looking for a bit of refreshment in the early afternoon - an IPA for the hubs, a hard seltzer for me, and a shared plate of Smokehouse Smothered Tots. Everything was clean, fresh, and tasty! Thanks.

We’ve gone there twice with a very polite, fun group of friends. Both times we were not greeted by anyone and it wasn’t even busy. The first time, we did stay, and it was so-so. The 2nd time, we hoped we’d have better service, but after some time of being ignored, we left. Could not even get a drink. Too bad, looked like it would have been a nice place. We won’t try a 3rd time.

Walked in with a group of 12 people and walk out without receiving a single drink. Bar tender never greeted us, we Walked up the the order here spot and the bar tented continually walked past us to serve seats at the bar ignoring the order here location, serving several people that Walked in after us. We had several family celebrations together in one afternoon at the Northwoods Brew Pub on Sat April 5th. We had last minute guests which I added to our reservation. When the manager said he had a space set up for us on the porch I got upset. Let me explain….I’ve only been here in the summer and the porch area was open to the outside.We had babies and elderly guests and I worried they would get cold. I told him I wanted to be moved inside in a rather firm fashion. When we arrived I realized the porch area was enclosed and would have been fine for our party. I humbly walked in and apologized. The staff had a place setup for us by the warm cozy fireplace. It was perfect! It gave the kids a little extra room to socialize with their cousins. The staff were friendly, relaxed and kid friendly! Everyone said the food was great and liked the atmosphere! We all agreed we would definitely come back. Thank you Northwoods Brew Pub staff for the great service and food!!

We came here for lunch and nobody liked their food other than the French fries and the cheese curds. Three of the four of us got the Bacon Mac & Cheese Burger sandwich and the fourth got the pulled pork sandwich. The BBQ sauce was super good on the mac and cheese burger. Burgers were unseasoned and dry. Mac and cheese was disappointing. Coleslaw wasn't coleslaw? It was dry and had zero flavor. The atmosphere is super cool tho and the people working here were nice. Service was poor. Very slow. The server took my beer glass and used the glass rinser after it had been used, kinda disgusting. As an FYI, new glasses get the rinser, used glasses should be washed or at the very least rinsed at a faucet so as not cause spit swapping with other guests.

We went there for an early supper. I enjoyed the pulled pork with Cole slaw on the pretzel bun. The homemade kettle style chips was the side. A delightful combination. O also ordered their popular ported. That was a little disappointing. I am a person who enjoys the dark, robust beers. This was just dark. The atmosphere is open and airy with a nice Northwoods theme. I can see where this would be an active, jumping place, packed on the weekends. We come here occasionally because it’s a bit of a drive but we always enjoy it. We did not eat today, but the food has always been great! They have pinball, darts, pool and some other games. On a road trip and wanted a burger and a beer so we stopped here. Staff was great, super friendly guys, very attentive and eager to help. I got the bacon mac burger and fries, it was so good and the sauce that is on it is stellar! My boyfriend got the burger of the week with tots, which was a queso burger. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the taste was awesome. Needless to say we are both VERY full and very satisfied. :)

My SO and I stopped in for a drink after dropping our girls off at prom. I was interested in the bar area in the event it would be a good wedding venue. We stopped here on the way to Minneapolis, excellent decision. The place is huge, with all the rustic trappings you'd expect. Very clean too, and excellent restrooms for the weary traveller.

We had the the BBQ, brisket sandwich and burnt ends. The meat was tender and slathered in a wonderful sauce. Very filling, and we still had another 100 miles to go! I tried one of their beers, wasn't very good though.

Overall, if we're ever back up here, we'll be back!

We met family here - never been before. We are SUPER impressed when we walked in. Very impressive atmosphere!!! I couldn't get over how cool the place was. Then we met the staff..... Bartender (order taker) didn't seem she wanted to be there; short with us, unfriendly. She took our orders and we sat down. When the food came, it was in "to go" containers. The server explained that ever since COVID, they went to disposable. I explained "That was 3 years ago". No sour cream for our sides. No Blue Cheese dressing for the salad. The tator tots were SUPER salty. The pork belly was 80% fat. We're from EC so it's not like we'll make the drive to come back. But IF we're in the area next summer, we'll come back for a second chance.

It's a cool looking bar. Dont got here for the food. First off have a sign saying to order at the bar at each table. After I ordered at the bar. It took 40 min to get out food and it was lackluster for the price. We had a pizza that was just store bought crust. Meals with fries were like kid serving of fries. Everything is served in To go containers. No servers so no one even apologized for the wait on the food. Seems like 40min is not a big deal to them. Need more staff. You are your own server everytime you need a refill on your drink you need to go to the bar. They have online pay system set up but you cant even use it to order or pay your bill.

Very large restored building housing an on-site micro brewery. Large selection of tap/draft beer including a resurrected Walter's from Eau Claire. This brewery is located in a really cool looking old building, and has a huge outdoor patio/deck for soaking up the sun and having some fantastic beer. Where the place falls short is the food. Stopped for the brisket but all out.
So I chose the tator tot, with pulled pork, Mac and cheese and tomatoes on top hot dish!!

The food was very disappointing. The pulled chicken wrap had cut up chicken chucks instead of shredded chicken. The onion hay stack was nothing but a greasy pile of onion rings. The brisket sandwich was at best just ok. And the fries that came with it were so salty you needed beer to wash them down.

I was a bit confused that a bar didn't have stuff for a long island. My husband wanted to try one of the beers, advertised on the menu, red raspberry beer, didn't have it, wanted a peanut butter port didn't have it. I Settled with a Washington apple. The tender didn't know how to make it. I told her. Crown, apple pucker and cranberry. I am charged for each liquor and cranberry juice. This drink cost me 10$. I would hate to see the charge for the long island! I reached out and left an email. But no response. Disappointing. One star just because the building is beuatiful.

What a great brew pub discovery! I had the Slaw Burger with house made slaw and kettle chips, combined with the slice of cheddar cheese that Wisconsin is known for, it delivered.
Well worth going out of your way if you are just passing through on I-94.

The food was great. Tater tots a bit spicy, nice change. Beautiful decor/ paintings! Sad they don't offer beer flights now cuz of covid. They need a better sign pointing to place off main road. Glad I used GPS. Will return.
