We made a reservation and arrived early. We were seated for 40 minutes. No one came to take our order. We told the host as we walked out. They apologized but didn’t even encourage us to stay. I was most disappointed by the reaction of the staff. They weren’t even bothered by the poor service they provided.

Had an absolutely amazing time here with my sister. From the drinks to the appetizer ( loved the bacon wrapped water chestnuts), the clam chowder soup, steak and ice cream flights…. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here tonight and we were very impressed. The staff was hard working and friendly. Great service. Atmosphere was exactly what you’d imagine a cozy northwoods supper club to be. Food was incredible and the complimentary slice of cheesecake for our anniversary was the perfect way to end the night. We are local so we've been there several times and food has been good. Took my brother and his wife to dinner there for a wonderful Northwoods supper club experience and the food was sub par at best. We ordered 12 Oz ribeyes and they were very disappointing. Thin and tasteless and rather tough. Nothing like a quality ribeye. Twice baked potatoes were slightly above room temp. Wife's fillet was barely warm and tasteless as well and her twice baked potato was cold in the middle. Sister in-law's shrimp was good but same potato issue. Waiter did apologize but only offered to warm wife's meal. Salads and soup were very good as well as the pre dinner cocktails but we were very disappointed with the entrees. Going to be very skeptical to return or recommend.

Dining under the pines next to the lake in a north woods supper club, an institution in the north woods. Our visit however, while generally adequate, unfortunately had multiple notable setbacks that we felt the need to address. Service, while friendly, was inattentive. Took us a half hour after sitting down to just get our waters poured, another 30 minutes to order the food. Never had any staff ask how everything is or offer to grab anything. Only ever came for drink/apps, entree, and dessert/check. Never had any drink refills either. The food was overall good, and the chocolate truffles dessert was not bad. The secondary main issue was with the noise. VERY hard to have conversation just with someone sitting right across from you. Bathrooms are also very tight and awkward. Excellent views of the lake though

It’s decreased over the years. Heads up it should be marked as RESERVATION ONLY on Friday nights. We arrived and were the second people in the door. There was no option for seating except a high top bar table which we took only to receive very poor service. Had to waive down and as for anything drinks or corrected errors. Never asked if we wanted dessert. Made us feel like a complete inconvenience. This was our second subpar experience and I the 8 of us decided we probably won’t return.

Fish is good, but there’s other good ones that are easier to walk in or get a reservation and they provide superior customer service.

Wow, and that was an understatement. The grounds are beautiful. There was an open bar and some outdoor seating. Bags were out back for use by all. Of course, the old fashioned was spot on. Appetizers (we got battered and fried brats and cheese curds) were great. We had a hard time deciding on the Appetizers since they all looked good. The table had fish, salads and kids food. We had out of town company and decided to try Norwood Pines for dinner.
The grounds and building were beautiful with outdoor seating and a bar plus an area with live music.
We had a reservation and got seated promptly.
Our party of four got drinks, two had old fashions and two had a cranberry margaritas.
Nothing special as the margaritas had no cranberry flavor to it just three whole cranberries floating in the drinks.
Our friends mentioned the old fashions were just ok and quite sweet.
Our entrees were items from the special of the day menu.
The women had the breaded walleye, and the men had the stuffed salmon.
The walleye had a breading made from breadcrumbs with a tomato sauce over it along with rice pilaf.
After eating several bites of the walleye, I proceeded for the next 10 minutes to pick out bones, which was quite frustrating. The walleye had no flavor, even from the breading and the tomato sauce and the rice pilaf was totally bland. I put some butter on it, which gave it some flavoring.
The men were looking for the stuffing on top of their salmon, which was supposed to be a blend of different seafood and crab.
They discovered was a mound on top that resembled stove top stuffing and the tiny bits of seafood mixed in could not be tasted .
Needless to say, we were all disappointed in our meals and for the type of supper club and cost it was not positive for us.
Our waitress was friendly, but she struggled several times to place the right order with the right person.
We have eaten at many great restaurants in the area and are sorry to give this one a negative review.
We hope some changes can be made to up their game.

We absolutely love this place. Love the food, love the drinks, servers are always great! But the one thing we cannot stand is the fact that they let people eat at the bar. It’s a supper club- we want to go early and have a couple of drinks before dinner. Last time every single bar chair was taken by someone eating their supper at the bar. We usually have my mother in law with, who needs a seat. There were so many people standing with their drinks that the servers struggled to get through to the tables outside and in the bar.

Fish fry Friday. Everything was very sweet. Coleslaw, tartar sauce, and my drink. I ordered an old-fashioned which in Wisconsin means a very sweet brandy old-fashioned apparently. Fish was fine and offered in three varieties (fried, baked, and cajun). Served with a warm loaf of bread and hush puppies that are sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with table syrup... Too much sweetness for me. Everyone else seemed to be enjoying it so it must be a Wisconsin thing.
Full menu was available and had some unique items. I would like to go back and try other items to give a better review.
Great supper club building with great service in a lovely area. Enjoyable evening, but the fish fry wasn't for me.

We chose Norwood Pines for our date night. Didn't disappoint! Service was fantastic. We started with the brat bites which were a nice change for an appetizer. The honey mustard complimented the taste. I ordered the surf and turf choosing grilled shrimp. The filet was cooked to perfection. So tender and flavorful! The shrimp was tasty, but didn't need the piece of green pepper, tomato and mushroom in the bowl with it. To someone who cannot eat green peppers this was almost an issue, but thankfully I couldn't taste it. My husband ordered the New York Strip with twice baked potato and it was just as delicious!! There are so many items on the menu we'd love to try that we will definitely be back. Everyone was so friendly! I'm giving 4 stars for the atmosphere only because it was quite loud.

I was a member of a (15 person) Christmas party that was held at Norwood Pines, and they did an excellent job! Our waitresses were quick and efficient, and when our group's food was ready, they served it quickly to all of us. I had the all you could eat fish fry, and it was delicious! I was able to sample the three styles of fish they offered and then got more of the kinds I liked. I will eat here again! I would recommend making a reservation, as they were very busy.

started off with their wisconsin cheese curds, these were delicious and spongy. Also had this appetizer that they brought out, it was a mix of things that I couldn’t even find on the menu, but it was nice of them to give it to us. There were chips, pasta salad, cranberries, and chive cream cheese. One of the specials was their famous wild rice clam chowder served with fresh bread. The bread was a great base for the chowder, and a really comforting dish overall. For the main I got the deep fried perch with crispy fries. This perch had a nice tartar sauce with it, and you really can’t go wrong with dip or no dip. The batter had a mild sweet maple syrup flavor to it, it was really good. The perch also came with corn fritters that both Malia and I really enjoyed. For dessert we had the creme brulee that had a nice layer of granulated sugar and a classic flavor, nothing fancy.

This is a lovely supper club. Food was good. We went on a Friday night and the place was packed. We ended up being seated on an enclosed porch type room. It was a little cool out there. And it was again, packed out there with full tables. It was very loud and it was all wood so there was nothing to help absorb the sound. Have always had a great experience here until tonight. Extremely busy as usual but I was seated right away in the main dining room. Two large parties in the room and it was extremely noisy. I was alone and hoping for a peaceful meal. People screeching and screaming at both tables. My server had one of the large tables and was unable to take care of her other tables. Not her fault and she tried very hard but literally interacted with me without even stopping at my table. Flew right by and dropped off my items on the move. Long wait between her visits and I felt like an inconvenience to her. A young child screamed at the top of her lungs for most of the meal to add to the noise. Dad took her out briefly but it didn’t help much. The food was pretty good except for the soup which was almost too salty to eat. Prime rib was lovely which was why I came. I couldn’t wait to get out of there to some quiet in my car. Ate yesterday down the road at Northfork.. a very pleasant experience with a totally different vibe that I loved.

Rustic Northwoods restaurant with history behind it. Nice woodwork back when building were built with skill and pride in workmanship. Food was amazing. Was up for the Tomahawk Fall Color motorcycle ride and was treated like an executive customer like everyone else. Other places look down when bikers walk in. This was fantastic!!! Booked a reservation for a Tuesday night online to take visiting friends to a real Superclub. Everyone enjoyed their meal selection! Our table had prime rib, rib eye, scallops, Norwegian stuffed salmon and ahi tuna and calamari appetizers...we only took home a few boxes and those were portions of the steak meals! I will also note the place was packed for a week night and it's off season...after labor day. It was a warm evening so we didn't stay to sit outside to enjoy the outside fire. My steak was done more than medium and very fatty also was tasteless. The crab meet was very sparse and loaded with a hollandaise sauce that was thick and not very good.
The mushrooms were actually canned! I couldn't believe it,I didn't eat any of them.
When I let the waitress know of the condition of my meal,she said oh sorry, yeah we serve canned mushrooms. I'll let the cook know your steak was over cooked.
She would have her manager take something off of our bill and offered us free cheese cake,that also unfortunately was mediocre as well.We never did see the manager,she took a whopping 20 percent off of our bill.
This was our first time there, unfortunately it will be our last. The food
just isn't very good definitely prepared by cooks not professional chefs!

First time to Norwood, love the ability to RSVP online!! We arrived 25 mins before our RSVP time, our table was immediately ready so we skipped the pre dinner cocktails. With it being a holiday weekend, they were busy! I had the beef tenderloin special and it was a very generous portion and delicious. We started with a round of brandy old fashioned, onion rings as an app and then each person went very different for main course. Amazing food!!! After we walked outside and had another round of drinks outside over looking the lake! A tradition that you have to try …. We are hooked!

This place was excellent! We have been to quite a few supper clubs and this is one of the best. Food was all delicious, including very unique relish tray. Loved the ice cream drink flight! We also got the banana Alice cream drink which we all agreed was the best. The place itself is so charming inside.

June 2024, week #2 - had to come back a week later, this time Hayley was our server and she was amazing! Great energy, fun-spirited, and played along with our goofiness. Got the filet and ribs, best ribs I've had in years! Strongly recommend the ribs, and of course filet. Wife got the chicken Oscar, also amazing.

June 2024 - still awesome food, especially the steaks. Filet with twin tails was very good, and of course the flight of ice cream drinks!

2023 - A year later and still a great place for a great meal and quality time with friends and family. Ice cream drink flight is still the best!

2022 - Great service and best steaks in the area (far superior to "Blinks" by a mile with a superior atmosphere too, friendlier staff, and no wait). Ice cream drinks -- get the flight! Awesome!

We love Norwood Pines. It's always a place to enjoy great food, friendly staff and a beautiful setting. Ordered the full rack of ribs so I can enjoy half for lunch the next day. The wild rice chowder is great. My wife Ordered steak Oscar and said it was great too.

I ordered the the surf and turf with broiled shrimp. The steak was prepared very well , the shrimp were very tiny over cooked tough shrimp. It was amazingly loud in there we couldn't hear each other talk , very hard to carry on a conversation. My husband's Duck was just okay. Very expensive 70th Birthday.

Always a joyful experience. Never had a bad meal. Waitresses are pleasant and work hard! Beautiful patio area to have a drink and sometimes get to listen to some live music outside. Beautiful woodsy area to take some pics.

The service wasn't bad. My only complaint is that I had to ask for my diet coke twice, not a deal breaker.
I feel the price tag on the food was a bit extreme for what we got. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't mind-blowing. As I feel the price would suggest.
The cocktails were good.

I'm glad for the experience but most likely won't be a repeat customer.

We wanted a true Supper Club experience, and I can’t imagine anything better. The food and drinks were excellent. We all had the perch dinner on a Friday night fish fry, and loved it. The blackberry old fashioned was great too. The ambiance was exactly as we hoped - cozy and comfortable with decor that’s both classy and classic. We were impressed with how much room there was between tables - not at all crowded or noisy. There’s no doubt, we’ve found our “home” for a great meal and dining experience in the Northwoods.

I love this place! The atmosphere feels homey. Tom the bartender and owner knows what I like to drink without asking. By remembering me makes me feel special. The waitress was personable and funny yet attentive and efficient. Our prime rib was cooked to perfection..so tender and delicious. And to my delightful surprise there was creme brulee on the dessert menu. OMG! My absolute favorite dessert! I was moaning while eating it. It was beyond yummy! Norwood Pines never disappoints!

This is the quintessential Northwood Supper Club experience. While it is directly off HWY 70 it's set back from the road and when you're there you are immersed in a warm, homey atmosphere.

We enjoy the friendly staff and delicious food. Servers are prompt and attentive. Drinks are made from locally distillery liquor.

You'll be treated to a relish tray before dinner (except Friday), warm fresh loaf of bread with the soup/salad course, and hot entre.

I highly recommend their ice cream after dinner drinks! However, keep in mind that they are meant to be shared. Or, if you can't pick one flavor, get the flight to sample several and decide your favorite!

We love going for dinner at Norwood Pines and will be going back for sure.
