I was staying in the area and decided to stop in for dinner — so glad I did! The restaurant wasn’t busy, which made for a quiet and relaxing dining experience. The bar area looked great, but I was seated in a comfortable booth.

My server was very friendly and made some excellent recommendations from the happy hour menu. I highly recommend the spicy mussels — they were full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I also had a burger, which was juicy, delicious, and cooked just right.

The prices were very reasonable, and the overall quality of the food and service was impressive. If you’re in the area and looking for a good meal in a calm, welcoming setting, I definitely recommend this place. I’ll be back for sure!

Went for lunch on quiet Sunday. Only folks in there and the staff consistently forgot one guest's drinks and food. The food itself was fine, not that good but better than fast food. If it's the only spot you got, it'll be serviceable for the time, but I wouldn't seek this place out again.

I dined in at the restaurant and ordered wings but the server forgot my order so I didn’t get my food when the rest of my party got theirs. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, it was loud at the table and there were a few of us who also ordered wings so I can understand the numbers getting mixed around, no big deal. I re-stated my order and waited for 45 minutes after everyone else had received their starters before mine finally came out, by this time I wasn’t even hungry anymore and I was understandably annoyed at the slow service. Aside from us there were only 5 other people in the restaurant so I don’t understand why it was so slow. The food from what I did eat was very mediocre and not worth the price. The drinks were good but I wouldn’t come here again.

We arrived at 7am for breakfast and the server was friendly and prompt to start. We ordered our breakfast within 5 minutes and never saw the server again. We where the only guests in the restaurant. After 30 minuets we had to find her and inquired about our order which she stated would be about another 10 minutes. We had to walk out without our order as we had an apointment wed miss if we waited. Horrible service and I could not tell you about the food. I hate to do this but the food was beyond bad. We got the calamari, fish, and chicken breast. The calamari was extremely chewy and tough, honestly the worst I have had. However the spicy tartar was good. The fish came with scalloped potato’s and vegetables; none of the items had a sprinkling of seasoning whatsoever. It was crazy. Had to pile on the salt and pepper. My partner said the chicken was unseasoned and boring. Ambiance and service good though. Overall the high price point for unseasoned food is so unreasonable I would not recommend anyone to come here.

I came here on a Wednesday night, and it was very quiet (just how I like it). I was with a small group, and we all enjoyed everything ordered. One person ordered a drink that had a chicken nugget with it! I had to take a picture to show everyone how cute it was. All we could think about was where they stored these chicken nuggets behind the bar for the drink. We started with the pigs in the blanket, which were delicious. You can’t go wrong with that! For an entree, I got the fish tacos, which were good. The fish could have been warmer, and I could tell it had been slightly overcooked but still pretty good. My family and I came to this establishment for the first time to celebrate my mother's birthday. Upon arrival, we were given waters and told our server would be with us shortly. We waited for an extended period of time before anyone else came to our table. Also just want to note. It was only us and 2-3 other tables in there at the time. So we didn't understand why our wait time was so long to order. We decided on what we wanted for food and gave our order to our server(whose name I remember but won't say) We were told at that moment that the restaurant had run out of biscuits and could not make the meal we asked for. It was only 10 AM and they opened up at 7 AM, so we were a little surprised that they had already ran out biscuits, but we were okay with that. We finished ordering and then she walked away to put the order in. A few minutes later she then came back to let us know that they had discontinued one of the other items that we had ordered, but had not taken it off the menu, yet. At this point, we decided that we were going to leave because they already told us two of the menu items that we wanted, they weren't able to offer to us. My father politely said we were disappointed and that he would pay for our drinks, and then we will leave. Again, this was our first experience at this restaurant. So with that being said, my first impression is, I would not recommend this place to anyone else. Due to food not being available and service not being the best. Im hoping this establishment just had an off day but my family will not be back after the experience we had. Super disappointing as we had such high hopes. No apology and no care for the disappointment we shared in this experience

Popped in for brunch on a Sunday around 10 am with 3 friends and was seated right away. After that though everything was pretty mediocre.

Asked a few questions about the menu and our server said she had to check and was gone for quite some time. She seemed a little scattered and was taking longer than normal to do simple tasks, like take our drink order. Only at the end of the meal did she tell us it was her first day, which made a lot of sense, and wished she had told us at the beginning of our meal.

They were out of a few items so couldn't make the items on their menu the way they were advertised which was disappointing. Also the serving sizes were a bit small for what they cost. The food tasted good, but I'm not sure that was enough to get me to go back there again, especially with all the other brunch options available in Milwaukee.

And no shade to our server! We've all had a first day at a job and she seemed like she knew her stuff so I'm sure she's a pro by now.

Recently enjoyed a "brunch" themed graduation celebration for a family member. The menu options met the expectation of many members of the family. We had a private room for the group, which was wonderful since we can on occasion get loud.

The service was fantastic, and I wish I caught the name of our server, to thank him directly for taking care of a party of 12 single handily. He even assisted in taking photos of our guests after the meal. The location was ideal, and on street parking was available.

I had seen the restaurant happy hour advertised on social media. I was so excited - ended up meeting one of my colleagues down on April 2nd, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. - the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, the Aesthetics of the restaurant are beautiful. We sat down and we were greeted very pleasantly by the bartender Aletheia. Who was basically handling the entire bar and if I'm not mistaken the restaurant drink orders by herself.... gracefully and with a smile on her face, she didn't miss a Beat. She was definitely the Saving Grace of this day I would never come back here if it wasn't for her.
We ordered two zucchini fritters, two chicken wings, fries and schnitzel sliders. This food was absolutely deplorable - the Schnitzel was burnt and Incredibly dry flavorless the elote wings tasted like they've been dipped in vinegar, the zucchini fritters were dry and the garlic fries came out limp - one of the worst Food experiences I've had in a while.
I highly recommend their happy hour for drinks only do not order the food

I stopped in 10-15 minutes before they closed and had the salmon ceasar salad and the glitter celebration cake. My salmon was salty and raw on the inside and my cake was very hard and cold. I loved the atmosphere and the service was fast even with me sending the salmon back to cooked more. I definitely wouldn’t order that particular meal ever again.
My suggestions for improving would be to add more vegetarian options (at least 2) and replace the cake with a different dessert 🤷🏽‍♀️.

We had a date night here. The cocktails & dessert were so great! The drinks tasted amazing along with how they were garnished adorably. Our service was great as well- fast & friendly. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner here, we have had it in the past and everything has been delicious! I think Oggie’s is a great place for a simple, delicious meals. There are enough options to not feel overwhelmed and everything is chef created. We enjoyed some delicious burrata with some pesto and toast for an appetizer, and some steak for dinner. I thought the steak itself was great but a little over salted for my taste. The potatoes and asparagus were delicious though! We got two desserts, a cinnamon Bundt cake and lime tart, both very good!

Though it was Saturday night, it wasn’t too busy, seemed to be mostly hotel guests dining. The restaurant is nicely separated from the hotel lobby and a great place to get a good meal. Our waitress was so great and definitely made the experience enjoyable!

When you walk in it looks like the place is empty. Vintage but empty. Keep walking. The hotel bar takes up the right side of the room and the food service is beyond. I've been going to hotel metro for years and the restaurant has changed hands a number of times. I think they finally got it right. Food was spectacular so were the drinks albeit a little pricey. Service was a little slow to get water refills and drinks. We got a number of appetizers to share. Really like how they updated hotel metro's reception area. The restaurant was updated as well although not as much. Make sure to check out the roof top bar as well called pufferfish.

Had a MKE burger and 1840 Hazy IPA, welcome to Milwaukee! The burger was smash burger style, pan fried cheese and pickles with extra sauce and seared in juices...yum! I upgraded to the fries, a definite must! Lots of great beverage choices, but 1840 is a Bayview local that is always great, I gave it a 4.25 on Untapped. Alieshia did a fine job of staying on top of things while I slacked on my phone.

Had Easter breakfast with my daughters. Peanut butter punch smoothie was a hit with all of us! Wisconsin omelette included a delicious blend of cheddar, gruyere cheeses and fresh red peppers. Potatoes are nicely seasoned. And apparently the Classic two egger was delicious too. We all cleaned our plates. Coffee's great, and service is fantastic -- friendly and attentive.

Ordered a drink and half way through my wife noticed the glass had something on the inside bottom of the glass.
Flank “steak” was over cooked and way way over salted to the point I had to scrape the top to eat it. I don’t know what the attempt was for the sauce but didn’t work.
Chicken thighs were disappointing at best. Would not recommend.

We came on a Thursday evening. Outstanding variety of entrees appetizers and salads. This is not your run-of-the-mill restaurant. The atmosphere as well as the artwork, the service and the food is artfully done.

Although I did not have any, the cocktails looked amazing! Geared more towards adults, children were welcomed for dinner.

Love the atmosphere. The food is unique and delicious! The breakfast potatoes are worth their weight in gold! The staff has always been very friendly and though I haven't seen many kids- I feel comfortable bringing the whole crew!

Tbh service isn’t available, and I came on a Saturday evening. Host told me, we are busy, so waiter will be right with you. 30min passed no waiter. If this restaurant is as in Chicago, it would not survive at all. Menu and drink items look interesting to where I wanted to try, but the service is unavailable that it’s not worth it anymore.

Had a really solid meal. Met up with some friends. I got a Paloma and it fell flat. Honestly I think the waiter somehow gave me and my friends all the same drink. It was weird and it wasn’t very good but the food was great. I got the pork ribs which were very tender they do need a touch of sweetness though. Maybe a drizzle of honey would’ve set it off OR candy the crushed peanuts! I also got the garlic bread, also very tasty. I wish they had more vegan options for my friends but it was a solid meal

Went here for a New Year's brunch and they had plenty of space. The restaurant is spacious and was great for conversation. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was solid. There was a little bit of maple syrup on the sandwich that gave it some sweetness that wasn't my preference, but it wasn't too distracting.

When you go to a company holiday party in downtown Milwaukee and have a great time with all your co-workers for hours, do you just go home afterwards? No! You and a coworker, who parked their car in the same block you did, walk together to the cars, but then you espy the Hotel Metro and detour into Oggie's for another hour or two, of course! You will find excellent drinks, a gorgeous hotel lobby and bar, fine service, and fun listening to the insights of a coworker who's passionate about many things, to put it mildly. It's an adventure when you ask the bartender to make you a drink that's her specialty, and she is surprised by the question and doesn't know what her specialty is. But she eventually suggests something that turns out to be really tasty and has an odd name having nothing to do with the drink, I can't remember what it was, but it tasted ginger-y. The name was something like Redoubtable. I had a coconut porter that was the best I've ever, ever had--and I've had a lot of them! I hope we have our holiday party at Oggie's next year. (I looked it up, the drink was called Up Rooted. That's not Redoubtable at all.)

Made reservations for dinner, we're seated right away. Took a bit longer than expected for the server to come to our table. Limited menu, ordered Grey Goose Cosmo which took a little long to arrive and it wasn't very tasty. Ordered pork schnitzel and Mahi entrées. They came quick enough but the pork schnitzel was hard so had to ask for a steak knife. The Mahi didn't have a sauce, but a chicken broth with lots of pepper, and no other flavor. A very dissaponting dinner for a lot of money.

Get the garlic bread!!! The short rib has been aged to perfection and is insanely good. The schnitzel is also so thin and crispy! Also reasonably priced for the size portions. Go at happy hour and get a glass of crisp rose for $6. Everything was delightful. Run don’t walk here

Small menu but something for every taste is represented. Good value, clean, comfortable, and very well presented. Food is great quality and well executed and brings you home with a family feel. Not a lot of room in the dining space but that means more attention. Call ahead and make the reservation if possible and thank yourself, you won't be disappointed.
