Ordered the patty melt with hash browns, pick up. Asked for an over easy egg on my sandwich. The egg was over hard and on the side. That's basically my only complaint. Otherwise, the food was impeccably seasoned and the hash browns came with cheese on them. I'll definitely be eating here again!

We were visiting from out of town and decided to try this place for breakfast. There wasn't any sign we could find that said to wait to be seated or seat yourself. We asked another patron who said it's seat yourself. We waited well over 10 minutes without being acknowledged whatsoever. We looked up what else was in the area, and ended up going to the Unique Cafe.

While the food is good, I recommend Old 61 updates their menu prices that are posted on their website. Example, on their website it says Breakfast #1 is 7.00, on my receipt I was charged 9.00. The Farmboy on their website costs 8.75, I was charged 12.00. Technically that is false advertising. Please update prices on your website, thank you.

Very pleased with the service and meal I received today. I ordered the western omelette with hash browns, it also comes with toast. I added a side of bacon. 🥓. The omelette was very good, I’d highly recommend them. The hash browns were cooked nicely, and I ask for mine to very crispy, which they were. The back was very good as well. Nice atmosphere, like a classic family style restaurant with an “up north” feel. I’d definitely recommend stopping in.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the Orchards north of town. We all had different meals, a couple from the specials, and enjoyed everything. Our waitress was so sweet, and gave us lots of tips about other places to check out in the area. She said she only works Mondays, so we already said we'll be stopping back on a Monday to see her again sometime.

Road into town in search of breakfast. Clean well lit. Plenty of seating. Lacie and crew are just awesome. Tiffany was learning the ropes from seasoned veteran Rita. Lacie took the time to say hello while filling her drink. It's nice when the chef/business owner greets a customer. The portions are plentiful. The flavors are reminiscent of home. Solid comfort food. I will go again.

My husband and I went for a late lunch. There were only 2 other tables seated, so they were not busy. Our waitress was engaged in a personal conversation and didn't greet us for almost 10 minutes. The menu was nice and not too many options, decent prices. Our food arrived quickly and was olay. The drinks were served in metal cups which made it uncomfortable to hold and our water tasted odd from the aluminum, not a fan. A female staff member thought she knew my husband and was chatting with us, even after he told her he wasn't who she thought he was she didn't pick up on the body language that we didn't know her and just wanted to enjoy our lunch. She was just inches from his face while talking, we did just come out of a pandemic... not cool.
After the awkward interaction we finished our lunch and paid the $35 bill and left.

My wife and I stopped here just to try it out. I had been following the facebook page for sometime and was excited to see what the new owner was up to.
So Ill start with the "not so good"
1. - hours are weird. (I use to visit the old establishment "the vale" and that place was busy 90% of the time). I also understand that its a hard nit to crack... restrict hours or consume the owners life because no one wants to work
2. - my wife got a cold cup of soup, review #1 "no one wants to work"
3. The floor had food bits strewn about from the previous patron- ?? - We were the only ones there @ 130 pm- pretty simple task to clean the table... and around it - again review #1
4. Watched an employee "joyfully" turn off the open light and promptly remove the outside open flag. Yeah... review #1.
Ok ok so the good
1. Portion size was worth the price (35.00 for 2) and the food was good.
2. The interior theme was nice - furniture was updated - was super ramped up because of the pre-advertising I had witnessed
3. Waitress was smiley and pleasant
Bottom line... Im not hook line and sinker convinced that I would go out of my way to go back. First impressions are EVERYTHING.

I agree with the other posts that the wait time for your order is long BUT they cook to order which is nice and it’s not prepackaged food. I love the ma & pa feel of the place and the food was delicious. I think it’s great that they don’t have a huge selection so they can provide quality options with local sourced for some of the menu items. The family ordered flapjacks, French toast, eggs, omelet, hash browns, bacon, sausage and the HUGE cinnamon roll. Everything was hot and flavorful. We look forward to many more visits so we can try each item on the menu. The staff was great.
