Very average place, nothing to write home about. It was our first time here and the service was good. The food was just meh or not good. Everything seemed frozen or canned and heated in the microwave. We had the cod fish fry and baked fish. Lettuce on salad seemed frozen and thawed, still wet; corn on cob was too hot and mushy; I could go on but you get the idea. It seemed like dessert would be good there but they didn’t have any gluten free options so we didn’t order. They played oldies on a radio station too. I don’t mind oldies but listening to commercials while dining is not relaxing. Can do that at home.

Food was delicious, although we were hoping for lunch food and chicken dumpling soup but was only given a breakfast menu, waitress wasn't very helpful offering or giving us information, it was our first time there,(and the only customers) but also wasn't rude or mean. Although I didn't get my drink refilled at all and we were there for awhile. I'd try it again though.

Met our best friends for breakfast. We had breakfast with eggs and pancakes too. Everything was hot, tasty and reasonably priced. Our waitress, Sheila, was super attentive and friendly. She even tolerated my husband's teasing. We come here often and they never disappoint. We wish them much success.

Stopped here for dinner with the family. The inside was a usual cozy diner with booths and tables. I ordered the Athenian chicken, it was good, the gravy that came with it was allright, not lemony and herbal enough. It was more like a chicken gravy then Athenian but I still ate it all cause I love chicken. The baked tater was a usual easy to cook one in the oven, our server was a beautiful blonde woman, she was a pretty good server. If we are in the Oak Creek area again I will ask them if we could go to Olive Tree again!

Was in last week been here a few times now I can definitely say I will not return! Our waitress was SO RUDE! I think her name was Fela.I sat with a empty cup of what woulda have been coffee could she came around more then 1 time the entire visit then when I asked her for coffee she acted like it was a chore. She was more worried about getting more tables,vs. taking care of the ones she had. I never felt so unwelcome in a restraunt in my life. That lady should definitely not be in the service industry what makes it worse is the food was pretty good . Definitely not the service!

I have a bunch of sick boys on my hands, I called ahead to see if they had soup, they did! Chicken dumpling. The person who answered the phone told me they had 32oz togo containers. I asked for two. He said of course and told me it would be ready when I arrived and it was. I asked for one more when I arrived and explained that my boys are sick. They helped pack me up and sent me on my way. When I got home my boys were being picky but once they tasted it we went through all 3 of the 32 oz of chicken dumpling soup. It was in the words of Roman (6) "phenomenal". I would highly recommend this place. After eating the soup we will be going back to try breakfast as soon as my boys are better!

Honestly I liked going here. We've been in multiple times( good service and the food is good. Better then most diners). Now here's the part that puts a bad taste in my mouth. You go online to order to-go and they charge the normal price for an omelette as if I was sitting in the restaurant. You get an omelette and potatoes. Now online they charge the normal price only for the omelette and want 4 to 5 dollars more for potatoes. I know for a fact the ham and cheese omelette is not $17 dollars on the menu. Very disappointed. Will probably stop going to eat here over this overreach of money. I'll spend money on a good product but don't screw me because I want to pick it up instead of sitting down

We have frequented this cafe many times, as it was a deceased family members favorite restaurant. We have come in as a large group a handful of times. This time, we made a reservation 30 days in advance, for a group of 25 at an off peak time (3pm on a Sunday). There was no information given about added fees or special menus. We arrived to find a small, "Sunday Dinner" menu on the table. It limited our entrée selection greatly. Several family members have allergies/diet restrictions. As a result, about 6 of us were left without options, as we planned to eat from the regular menu (that other people in the restaurant at the same time could order from). The wait staff was very gracious and tried to give us a couple options which we appreciated, until the bill came. We were charged a flat rate that included a hall rental fee but we didn't rent a hall. We sat in the restaurant. This flat fee meant that I paid ~$30 for a grilled cheese & fries ($8.99 on the regular menu) and a soda plus gratuity. Absolutely ridiculous.
The restaurant should practice transparency - let those booking reservations know ALL the added fees/restrictions that come along with a booking. Had we known ahead of time, there would have been no unpleasant surprises or we could have chosen to go elsewhere. This restaurant just lost 25 customers.

We came here as a family get together because it was the one year anniversary of my grandpa’s passing, we’ve occasionally done large dinners here the whole family, as it was my grandpa’s favorite restaurant. There was 25 of us, in the past we all just order from the menu, on one bill, no big deal, we took care of splitting it up. I moved out of the area and haven’t been back since grandpa passed, today we had this big dinner and they charged us like we had it catered, gave us a limited menu and charged us like it was $40 a person. The bill was $800, we felt completely taken advantage of because none of this was talked about when we called to see if there was a good time in the day to accommodate a party of 25.

While our waitresses were kind and helpful, Olive Tree should be ashamed of themselves! My family made a 25-person reservation to be together on the one year anniversary of my grandfather’s death. This was his favorite restaurant. When the reservation was made, we had the option to book a hall or not, and decided on a large table in the restaurant (not a hall) during their least busy time of day (confirmed by staff member). The decision to decline the hall was understood by the staff member on the phone. This reservation was made a month in advance. When we arrived, we were sat at a large table in the dining room, not in a rentable hall. Each family member was given a menu with prices next to each item. We were absolutely appalled when a single bill arrived at the end of our meal for a flat rate of $800. Several people just had a drink, or a bowl of soup and salad. Even if every single person in our party got the most expensive dish on the menu- our bill wouldn’t have been CLOSE to $800! When the restaurant was questioned why we didn’t get an itemized check, and how they came to the bill of $800, they said they had to “figure it out”. When we finally got a “revised” bill, it was $700 including a “hall rental fee” for a hall we did not inhabit. They could not tell us why we were charged $28 per person and not the amount stated on the menu provided to us, or why they couldn’t remove the hall rental fee. 18% gratuity is standard on a large party meal, but $700 isn’t our meals plus 18% gratuity! If we didn’t question why our bill was $800, would they have charged us an extra $100 simply because they could? What a lovely way to treat a grieving family! Olive Tree should be ashamed of themselves. It is unbelievable they have the audacity to behave this way to loyal, paying customers.

First off let me state that the service was great, no fault of the wait staff. When asked about this we were told there was a hall rental fee added (Okay, why were we not placed in a hall then?) and given no explanation as to why we were handed menus with prices just to be charged an exorbitant amount of money for a standard meal. But fear not, they took $100 off! Hooray, now it was only $28/person! How reasonable! This is disgusting and deceptive business practice and should have been discussed up front when the reservation was made. Added gratuity for a large party is an acceptable practice, not flat out lying to our faces about meals being individually priced. I will most certainly not be returning or recommending anyone go here.

First and last time I will go. Walking in here it was a cross between a retirement home, 1983, and not sure why there’s TV’s AND gambling machines?
The food was less than remarkable. Absolutely flavorless omelette, stuffed with veggies and not cooked properly once folded over. (runny yolk and undercooked)
Bacon tasted reheated, hash browns were not cooked enough and tasted like a freezer.
The coffee has NO flavor and was literally like drinking a hot cup of coffee water. Not worth $50.00 at all. Please please remodel and get some proper chefs that understand breakfast. This was utterly disappointing since there’s not much between oak creek and S. Milwaukee.

It's a great little café with plenty of seating and a wide variety of food. The size of the menu is surprising, from breakfast to dinner, they have everything. It's like a café you go to when you're little with the fridge of cakes, paying up front, and experienced staff. The best way to describe it is charming. One of the worst service I’ve ever had, the lady not sure her origin comes to our table with angry face without a hello or any greeting just asked “what can I get for you ? “ when she brought our food she literally throw the plate onto the table randomly without saying anything or ask if we need anything else right away and just took off, the next time we see her anywhere near our table is right before we finished our food she yelled across the table next to us”how’s everything” conveniently while she is cleaning up other table. Yet consistently she smiles chatted and greeted every other tables she waited and we are the only table getting different treatment. I do not post many reviews however this experience is noteworthy. I ordered a 16 piece bucket of chicken for pickup at a certain time. Olive Tree Cafe is a family restaurant catering to families - of course. Although everyone is welcome. Not an imposing or distracting style of decor, just a casual place for a casual meal.

Our server was excellent. Friendly, relaxed, ready to help us enjoy our meal. Ya know. I am bad with the asking of the names, but THIS time she actually TOLD it to us without me needing to ask, and I STILL don't remember it. I am the WORST with this. She was just lovely. Made us feel right at home and as if we were regular customers - even though this was our first visit.

The food is great. From simple cereals and eggs, soups and salads, sandwiches and burgers, on up to steak and seafood, a wide variety to choose from if your group can't decide on a cuisine. I had the Monterey Chicken, Mom had the Roasted Turkey and Avocado, and we had the Appetizer Combo to share. The combo had just a few pieces of several items which was perfect to share. We only ate half of it to save room for the rest as each sandwich comes with fries and a cup of soup. The Chicken dumpling is very tasty, has lots of flavor in the broth. Mom thoroughly enjoyed the half of her Roasted Turkey and Avocado she could finish, and likewise the Monterey Chicken half that I ate was delicious. Lots of grilled onions so it was really slippery inside and kept falling apart on me. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious. I just switched to eating it with a knife and fork so I didn't end up looking like a toddler just learning how to use utensils. We each took home half of the remaining half of the app combo, half our sandwiches, and half our fries. I also grabbed a piece of chocolate cake to go on the way out. Scrumptious. Very moist with a rich, creamy chocolate icing. Mmmmm.

Great place, Staff is very nice and friendly, and the atmosphere is great. It feels exactly like an old diner, which I like. Of the 5 of us 3 ordered a gyro. It was good. Plenty of food on the plate. It looked as though it wasn't open, but was assured that is where we were gathering for lunch. The exterior of the restaurant looks shabby and un maintained. Needs painting and the landscaping needs to be freshened up. Our table was very dirty. Patches of dried remnants from previous dinners. Even with that said the server was friendly and efficient. It wouldn't be my first next time around.

Spur of the moment, stop for dinner. The food was good and the staff were very friendly. Reasonable prices and good portions. Delicious desserts. Music from the 50s and 60s not blaring, which was nice.

Pretty typical family restaurant...big variety menu, decent food, nice servers. Drinks went dry with no refills, but not a deal-breaker. The music coming over the speakers was loud and a fuzzy/distorted radio station. We asked the staff to please tune it in and/or turn it down. They explained there was a "short in the wire," and did turn it down a notch, but then the owner or manager turned up a T.V. that was in the dining room. Even-though we sat next to each other, conversation was difficult due to these droning noises. Good place to catch a quick breakfast or lunch...alone. 😉

place is dirty! Staff picks and chooses who they want to wait on! Had to count on other waitress to get us napkins and such. Our waitress was to busy taking care of another couple that came in after us! Apparently she knew them! Never checked on drinks food or extra napkins! Won't go back!

Doesn't deserve one star the food was disgusting had meatloaf and gravy and potatoes the meatloaf was hard and dry ordered a Gyros sandwich picked it up and grease poured out of it, Still paid $33 for 3 drinks a lasagna dinner A salad and a cup of soup. Thought I was going to a nice family restaurant.

Food was good, liked our waitress.
Fat comments and joke, not good. Host kept pointing out one of my party members and how he tried to get us a table when he "saw him coming." He ended our trip with saying he felt bad for the dog since we didn't take a doggie bag for this person's meal. (Mind you we had 2 full contrainers of food we didn't eat). It's funny once but not really.

My grandmother and I came for breakfast around 9am on a Tuesday morning. Was pretty slow, and the food came out pretty quick. The food was pretty good. Our waitress didn't check on us after the fact and I had to go up to the front to request to go containers.

The silverware was dirty, (and was replaced) the coffee creamer had chunks of curds in it, the restaurant itself was somewhat run-down, and didn't have much atmosphere.

The food was just okay, the portions were slightly generous, but the prices were very high for the quality of the food provided.

The waitress was modestly polite, but generally inattentive. By the the end of the meal I simply walked to the server station to get my own to to boxes as I couldn't find an employee for several minutes, and they never asked when they gave us the bill.

This restaurant was terrible with the previous ownership, and it looks like this ownership hasn't improved on much. The quality of the food has improved, but is only comparable to a George Webs at best. This is the worst sit down restaurant I have been to in a long time.
