I am a very picky eater and this is my go to for Burmese authentic food. I love their pork curry and their udon noodle salad. This is the most authentic dish you’ll ever find in Milwaukee, WI filled with savory, richness and flavorful.

First time customers and couldn't be happier! We went in person to order take out, (we wanted to ask about portion sizes.) We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The lady who took care of us was sweet and informative. The cook made our food fresh and was kind as well. When we got home and tasted the food SPEECHLESS! It was so flavorful I had to get seconds. First and last time eating here. The Mrs. decided to stop here on the way home from her job, ordered the general tsaos chicken with a spice level of 3. When she got home, I was ready to chow down, however, it was tofu! Seriously? Receipt says chicken, why would I get tofu if I ordered chicken? Plenty of great reviews, so had to be a decent place. The best tasting Chinese food I’ve had in Wisconsin, period. The menu extends to Thai and other cuisines as well and all of those dishes arguably look even better than the standard Chinese dishes. However, I was in the mood for Chinese and wow did this place surprise and delight. We came at 2pm on a Monday and after one bite I could already tell it’s a spot I’ll be coming back to with friends and family.

Another perk, for the price the portions and quality is ridiculously high.

If you’re craving Chinese or Thai, this place is gonna deliver every time.

What an unassuming gem. They do several types of Asian food, but should really highlight their Burmese dishes more. Ni Burmese has been getting all the hype, but I found the flavors here to be just as good. The chili lime fish, chicken curry and tea leaf salad were all outstanding. Will absolutely be returning.

Best noodle wok hei in the USA ! Seriously. 99.9% of the time when you get a noodle dish in a restaurant, it's wet and tasteless. And if you order it spicy, most places just toss in some chili flakes and call it a day. That's not the case here.

One+ 1 Asian does EVERYTHING right. When you order it spicy, they do it the right way and cook the dish with some Thai chilis. I was totally surprised when I ordered it spicy and it made me sweat. Unlike other places that say spicy but it never is.

They also give you fresh Thai chilis in a little dish on the side -- not in some jar that's been sitting on the table for days.

And to top everything off, they are extremely friendly.

I've been here so many times and I've gotten so many different dishes. Both their Thai food and Chinese food are consistently delicious. There's so much to choose from, but each dish is great. First time trying One +1 and will definitely order again. The egg roll was beyond excellent, the food tasted fresh, and had great flavor. I hope it stays open a long time. They put peas in the rice, but I was easily able to pick them out (I hate peas). My husband loves peas and he thought they definitely added to the rice. I can see One + being in our regular take out rotation. I added some photos of our order. Please excuse the paper plates, I'm waiting for the new dishwasher to be delivered and didn't feel like doing dishes on a Friday night.

Update: We have ordered from here several times now. We've never been disappointed. The Mongolian Beef, Egg Foo Young, Thai curries, General Tso's, Pad See Euw, and Thai Tea are absolutely delicious.

I totally understand it being crazy on thanksgiving and being understaffed and it pains me as someone who has worked in food service to make this review.

We ordered a bunch of things for a four person thanksgiving dinner not having eaten at this restaurant before since our main Chinese restaurant was closed today. My partner, vegetarian gets very sick anytime he eats meat or eggs so we ordered the General Tso’s TOFU with fried rice and specified no egg in the order. Not only did we receive General Tso’s CHICKEN, the fried rice had egg scrambles in it. I did a double take making sure we actually ordered tofu and we did. We were not sure when investigating the food before eating it whether or not it was say like a realistic tofu, comparing it to the chicken my mom and I ordered. We mistakenly decided to risk it and he ate half of the “tofu” (chicken) but 30 minutes later he’s feeling very sick. Not only that they forgot a portion of the order, the rest of the food was incredibly bland, which could be because of them being understaffed today as the reviews seemed pretty good which is why we chose this restaurant.

I called up the restaurant to see if there was some way to remedy this and the best they mentioned was a credit for the entree for another order, but we don’t really want to eat with this place again, so I pushed for an actual refund but the system on their end supposedly doesn’t allow it. They said if we lived closer that they’d be able to remedy it but there weren’t enough people on this busy holiday to remedy which I totally understand. I was upset still and asked if it were possible for a full refund if thats what the system would allow, which I understand is a big ask for a $75 to be refunded for an error on a $10 entree but my partner is now sick and I’m here very upset. I refused a credit as the food was well below expectations so we wouldn’t want to return. There was really no way they were going to remedy it otherwise so I gave up and they needed to get back to work. I hate having to call up an establishment to complain and I never leave a review but this was a very very bad mistake to make although maybe easy to have happen sometimes. I want to be more understanding but when someone you love is in pain, it makes you upset.

So yeah, idk, make sure if you are vegetarian or have dietary restrictions to double check your order while there if you decide to pick up from this place.

A family member recommended this restaurant highly. The egg rolls were delicious and delivered hot to table. Egg Fo Young was exceptional, though the gravy was too thin and too salty. Fried rice was wonderful too. Atmosphere was cute though the two young busboys were loud run from spot to spot and takes away the softer music playing.

I ordered a noodle with mixed vegetables in their spiciest level, though I saw no vegetables and it was not spicy at all. This frustrated me since a family member highly praised this same dish like he was a news caster. The owner/waiter only offered little to no resolve to make me feel better. I like vegetables that I can see a taste not some poor excuse that they are blended into mix and not seen. I would still go back though with a better handle of what I expect: spicy level 3, vegetables I can see and taste. Pat Thai was the mistake here.

Very friendly owners! The food was excellent and very approachable from a typical American palate. I'm American and my wife is Burmese, so I've had plenty of Burmese dishes the typical American might need to work up to. All of our food was great and should be fine for most people. We had chicken noodle salad that is a little creamy, The pork intestine salad was very soft and flavorful - not chewy. The tea leaf salad, la p'het was crunchy and not too intense. The samosa salad had a good mixture of spice and crunch. We will eat here again. For anyone wanting to try authentic Burmese food, I would recommend One +1.

Sesame chicken 7/10 sauce is really tasty, portion size extremely for the price, compared to China Hut on 52nd and Howard you get less than half of what their portion size is

Fried rice 1/10 the rice was really over cooked and mushy, had very little flavor, might as well stick with white rice

Crab Rangoon 2/10 filling was really good, but they were under cooked and the portion size was very small for the price.

This place will have a hard time staying open with China Hut just a few blocks away

Visited there with my friend for lunch. I got Kyay Oh (Vermicelli with Pork Soup) and Samusa Salad. Kyay Oh was delicious. Samusa Salad was also good, but it wasn't my taste. I expected samusa salad with mint leaves and tomato sauce, but it was different. Service wasn't bad. And I enjoyed the decoration with Burmese Traditional Umbrellas. It's so beautiful.
