The atmosphere is fairly dumpy, but the food is outstanding and huge portions. The pesto is delicious and if you ask for cheese on your hashbrowns, they wont just put some cheese on top, they layer it all throughout. If you finish your breakfast here, you will not need to eat the rest of the day!

The food is beyond delicious! You get so much food for the price! If you get an omlet and hashbrows be prepared to ask for a box lol. It's so amazing but you get way too much (which isn't a bad thing!) How is this place not booming with business everyday?! This is a true hidden gem in downtown Oshkosh. Great eats!

This place is one of the city's Unknown Gems! I would never have expected to get such wonderful dishes in such an unpretentious place! It looks like a simple lunch counter or coffee shop but don't let that fool you. The schnitzels on Wednesdays are superb, and the Friday fish fry is one of the best around. And the prices are almost unbelievably modest for the quality received! recommend highly!

I go here for breakfast a couple times every few months - this is a favorite spot. Very reasonable and delicious. Staff is great. Some of the customers are "colorful" but they never bother anyone and I don't mind. Everyone falls on hard times and I'm glad there are allowed in! Love the croissant sandwich it is so good! Their croissants are amazing!!!

Usually stop in for breakfast, which is always good. Everything feels homemade, nothing out of a can or bag. Pancakes are huge, eggs are fresh and fluffy, sausage gravy has great flavor and isn't greasy, american fries are tasty and seasoned right, with homemade biscuits.

I've had a few lunches and the grilled cheese is excellent; all of the soups must be homemade and taste great. They hit the flavors spot on and same with the seasonings.

The fish fry is great; the breading is crispy and the fish is cOoked spot on, nothing has ever been soggy or overcooked.

Overall a wonderful place for excellent food. Keep in mind it is small and if their are big groups or a rush the service might take a little longer, I have never experienced this myself.

I've been going to Oshkosh Bistro for the past year and it's a hidden gem! Love how everything is home made always nice staff
It's a small mom and pop family kinda place! Just saw last review and prior server experience I must say most places need a heads up for tables of 8 or more. Give them a try again I'm sure you will like it

Wandered in for lunch during a conference along with 3 other tables at the same time (total 10 ppl or so). Wait staff told us they only had 1 cook and 1 waitress so they wouldnt be able to serve us!!!

Unfoprtunately the service did not replicate the delicious food. The waitress, who seemed to be in charge, took our menu choices by memory - and then screwed them up. Some got the wrong side dish and others could not get refills or ask for changes to the mistakes because the waitress disappeared for long periods fo time.

One member, who forgot her "doggy box", got out to the car and realized she left it inside - immediately went back to find out the box had already been thrown away. Would'nt logic wait a few minutes to see if any one was coming back before destroying some expensive food?

If you judge this book by its cover, you probably walked right back out. It looks a little chotchky, but who cares? The food is excellent, it's inexpensive, and the service is fantastic.

Don't judge appearances by their quaint little covers! Connected to the pharmacy, this little bistro packs a tasty punch! They serve an extensive menu, including many german dishes that they are quite proud of. All food is advertised as fresh and never microwaved, and everything my guests and I have had has been phenomenal. My personal favorite is the German potatoes and smoothies. You get a good amount of food for the price too!
