When you’re in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, it’s always great to do some local dining! Beer selection was on point and we showed up for the Friday fish fry! Absolutely amazing and large portions for a more than reasonable price! We also had to order a two piece fried chicken and it’s sooooo yummy! Highly recommend. Lunched here recently - the service was great - the food was good - I had a pizza and my friend the daily special corned beef sammich...both were to our liking and the deep fried cheese curds were great! The atmosphere just okay...Pretty typical up north vibe, but didn't dig News Max on all of the TV's - bowling reruns would be better. I'll try it again.

I came here for the first time with my father and mother as well as my three children.

First time here, place has a very nice up north feel. This place is very busy on a Friday night. The service was fantastic. Our bar tender was unbelievable, he could hear what others were telling what they want before me. He was quick and polite. Our waitress at dinner was very personable and on top of everything. The food was delicious, four of had the pan fried walleye and two had the fried cod. Portions were generous. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

I cannot say enough good things about the P.I. pub. At a time where establishments are challenged in finding help, it is clear that this place spends a lot of time on training for customer service. The P.I. Pub consistently offers outstanding, friendly, and quick service with outstanding food. Surprisingly great food at reasonable prices. We randomly stumbled upon this gem of a bar and couldn't have been more delighted with our experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, but the real highlight was Tyler, the bartender. From the moment we walked in, Tyler made us feel right at home with his warm and friendly demeanor. He pulled some of the coldest beers from the cooler we've ever had and offered great recommendations from the menu. Tyler's exceptional service and genuine hospitality truly made our night unforgettable. We'll definitely be back! Hopefully with more peanut butter tequila!

A small place with a rustic country ambiance. The wait staff was very nice and the food was fresh, very hot and the order was exactly correct. We stayed at a home in Presque Isle & drove by the pub everyday & noticed they were always packed no matter the time or day. We ordered the Reuben w Potato Salad & Coleslaw also the Patty Melt w Curds...YUM! We have traveled to Minocqua, Manitowish Waters, Arbor Vitae, Boulder Junction, etc. for yrs now & PI Pubs food has been by far w/out question the best food we have eaten up North. We are back home now, & I'm wishing we were closer so that I could order! Next time we come up North we plan to drive out of the way to get their food!!! Very friendly staff & customers!

A few years ago I gave this 1 star. However, it's now new management and new food. I can't say enough good things about PI Pub now! Staff was friendly and the food was amazing. The ahi tuna tacos were better than anything we've had downtown Chicago which kind of broke my brain how good it was! The pizza was also very good I was told and the French fries were also very very good. Wish we had this place down south!

Our group had dinner/cocktails. Have frequented this restaurant before, but now under new ownership/ management. Food is very good. Prices reasonable.
Because the surrounding area has suffered with lack of needed help, some restaurants have adjusted hours/days with others so they may all continue to serve. Therefore, there is a shortage (usually in off-season) of restaurants to accommodate tourists and locals alike. Check if reservations are needed, because traveling throughout Northwoods should be enjoyable, not marred by long waits or unavailability.

We've had a place in PI for over 14 years. We quit going to the pub 8 years ago due to bad service. Now there are new owners so we were excited to give it another shot.
Our first experience was dining in everything was great, food was excellent (fish fry and chicken), service was on par with any place in the area.
This week we ordered carry out twice. On Friday we were given a time for pick up, we showed up got in line and checked in. The food wasn't ready, so we waited outside for 15 minutes and asked again. The response from the staff was: "your order is not done and I have no idea when it will be done". OK, if it isn't going to be ready, then tell us to come later or just be honest up front. We chalked this up to a busy Friday night.
Tonight we ordered carry out to try again. Unfortunately our experience wasn't any better than on Friday. We were told it would be ready in 40 minutes, 7pm. We showed up, got in line and waited. After being ignored by the servers for 10 minutes I stopped one to ask about our order. She said she would check on it. After passing me time and time again I found another and she said she would check on it. If I hadn't tracked them down, I'd probably still be standing there. They finally found our order, then ran my card before I signed. When I reviewed the receipt, it had a mixed drink on it, I never had a drink. She couldn't figure out how to take it off the bill, then gave me cash for the mistake. As a business owner myself, I'm not writing this review to trash anyone, I just want to make the owner / management aware of your carry out issues. One server should be assigned to carry out, rather than "whoever happens to be standing there". We look forward to eating your delicious food again and hope these things can be improved.

My favorite place up here. Cuban tacos, pulled pork, walleye fingers, pizza with green olives, rueben, cheese curds. Great cocktails and fair prices. Friendly hard working staff out front and in the kitchen. Times are tough in the northwoods. If you see a bad review, consider that it may be from folk with little awareness or tolerance for the fact that places are struggling big time to find and keep good help, and they are working incredibly long and demanding shifts. Slow your roll, expect slower service and be friendly. At PI Pub, I experience that rarely - they are ON IT - but it does occur. You will be rewarded with consistently delicous food and drink, smiles and cameraderie.

The waitress we had was very good and friendly. I was not impressed with the pizza and the amount of ingredients on it. We played the pull tabs and when we won we took the tickets to the bartender and she shorted us the winnings. After the first time we thought maybe we were wrong. After the 2nd time we only had 3 tickets and when we received the money we were shorted $2. She was confronted and said we only had two tickets. We bought a house in Presque Isle last fall and have driven by the PI Pub many times and it's always packed. We finally know why, great food and service. The chicken wings were crazy good and my wife said her Reuben may have been the best she's ever had. We, my husband, daughter-in-law grandkids and I went there for pizza tonight. We chose to eat outside. My husband, daughter-in-law and 3 year old granddaughter went inside to order drinks and food. The server became nasty, using the f word, slammed the door claiming she hates these people when my husband insisted on a wine glass instead of a plastic cup for a glass of wine. This was witnessed by the entire bar, as well as my little granddaughter. I’ve been in the service industry all my life, and never heard of this inappropriate behavior before.. She should have been fired on the spot. The bartender, Tyler , handled our order and was very pleasant. We will not eat in this restaurant again. Sadly, the best advertisement is word of mouth. I will make sure to share our experience.
