Lunch was awful. Under cooked chicken, way overcooked veggie burger. Thick, unripened tomatoes. Did they remedy the situation, NOT SO MUCH. .... besides this visit, we have been there for dinner quite a few times and we're always satisfied with food and service. Needless to say, we will not be back for a while, especially for lunch.

I've been going to Pair O Lakes since I was a child. Friday night fish fry has always been a ritual. I'm lucky enough to get there a couple times a year since I live far away. The fish fry is amazing!, it's the best. Not only the best fish I have ever had, the coleslaw, cornbread, and the best au gratin potatoes ever. The service is top notch and atmosphere great.

I recently ate at Pair O Lakes for the second time. As with my first visit, I thought that the food was mediocre at best. The service was excellent, considering the number of people. BUT, the food was nothing to write home about. Forget about the scalloped potatoes. They would be better off preparing the Betty Crocker variety right out of the box.

Would I go back? Maybe. But, I'll be trying many other places first.

First time here was a first date. We got the spicy app combo. I ordered chicken and ribs, he ordered steak and shrimp and we shared. Then turtle cheesecake. EVERYTHING was fantastic. Service included.

Pair O' Lakes is an institution in Spooner! Their ribs and fish fry are my favorite, but it's the atmosphere that really brings me back. It feels like Northwoods Wisconsin inside and out. The staff is friendly, the environment is warm and fun, and the food is good, but not over-prices or over-produced.

If you're hungry for barbeque ribs, I would suggest this place. The Chicken Alfredo was also good. A great place to eat on our Model A trip!
