Palmers is excellently priced for the quality and quantity of food given at the meal. While I may not have gone to a steakhouse and gotten a main entree, my fiancé did, I still found everything to be above my expectations.
Chicken wings were very well dressed in sauce. The texture was slightly crispy not oily and not too messy to ruin a classier atmosphere. I prefer my wings to be coated exactly how they were here, not dripping with the flavor almost cooked into the skin.
The Mac and cheese pictured is the lobster Mac. At $20 for the portion it was decent. I enjoyed each bite but I have had better at other steakhouses with more lobster in it. The Mac was a special for the night so this may play into that! No harm no foul I suggest getting it still!
My fiancé ordered the petite filet mignon. I took a bite and the salt and pepper were excellently balanced! Medium rare was perfect and it came with fries, mushrooms, and a Cavatappi pasta.
The servers were great despite the rush due to the brewers game. They took time to explain specials, gave us warm bread for the table. They were on top of it all! I suggest asking for vinegar and oil for the bread!

It was so beautiful place, Our table was the last table we sat outside right next to the creek. Our waitress was so good service was on point. Food was phenomenal, this was for our anniversary, and they even had some special dessert for us. We will be back.

My husband and I came here for dinner for our anniversary and everything about our experience was absolutely incredible! Palmers was so inviting when we showed up very hungry after waiting over an hour at a local restaurant who forgot to put our food orders in. We arrived 3 minutes before kitchen close and they were so welcoming. Service was fast and delicious 😋 highly recommended!

Food was great. Service and atmosphere were also great. I would go back again. Two small nitpicks that I interpreted as not at the level of the very best. Sour cream delivered in a plastic container and having to pay the 3% charge if using a credit card. Those small touches do make a difference.

Came to town to have a nice dinner with an old work buddy as Palmers is always a memorable outing! Fantastic server (Sam), steaks were marvelous but had a couple new items: the Beet Salad was tremendous as well as the Bacon Rack. Had a great time.

Very nice high end establishment. Great food and service. I love that roast duck is on the regular menu. There seams to be a seafood special daily which I also like. My husband likes the prime steaks and the porkchops. If you are not concerned with price this is a place to try. If price is a concern, then this is not for you. I recommend Reservations.

The service was great drinks were a generous pour my ribeye was outstanding and cooked to order with a wonderful char outside Rose had lamb was tender and juicey. Over time we've had most things on the menu we've never ever had even a mistake much less a poor meal they serve prime meats and very high quality seafood and have some wonderful special occasion food like birthdays,graduation or anniversaries.
Palmers is A little pricey but worth it and right in line with other high end quality steak house
If you want to be sure of getting a table be certain to make reservations and probably at least a couple days ahead

Mine and my wifes bone in rib eyes were hard to cut and a little tough around the outside, untill we got to the middle by the bone . We have never experienced this before with are steaks here . Hopefully be back to excellent steaks next time we go back

My mom traveled in for Mother’s Day weekend, so I took her to Palmers on Saturday, May 10th for dinner. I’m also an expectant mother and six months pregnant. For dessert, we wanted two strawberry crème brulees, but our waiter said we couldn’t order them because they needed to sell the last vanilla one first. I joked, “I guess we’re waiting!” and he replied, “You can stay all night, but what if we don’t sell it by close?” Peter, while I understand that you don’t make the rules, you are always a super condescending waiter.
Rather than the restaurant allowing us to buy $25+ worth of dessert, they chose to force the sale of the one leftover vanilla. It was illogical and prideful. Since it was 9 pm we closed out and left.

Honestly was not what it was all worked up to be. Both mine and my wife’s filet mignon were overcooked and our shrimp bisque was literally tomato soup with a large overcooked rubber shrimp thrown in the middle.
For such a large bill the food was mediocre at best. Could recommend many other places in the area over this.

My husband and I came to Palmers on Saturday 3/22 and we had a wonderful early dinner. This place books up on a Saturday evening way in advance. We booked or reservation about a month in advance, but our reservation was still at 4PM (it was very early for dinner, but we still wanted to go, so there you have it). If you are looking for dinner reservations, my suggestion is hop on it as soon as you are able because you will either have to choose 4 PM or something closer to 8:30 PM.
I had blackened salmon and the hubs had a Wagyu filet with a lobster tail. All were super tasty, cooked perfectly and I had left overs to take home because, it was a lot of food (for me personally).
The service was exceptional and everyone was so pleasant! We will definitely put this on our places to go when we are feeling we want a little fancy something.

We went to Palmer‘s for the first time with my best friends family for her birthday. The service was great and the food and drinks were wonderful. One thing I wanted to recognize was how incredible our server Neil was. We oversaw the part on the bill where 20% gratuity was included in the total, so we had given double the tip. As we were leaving, Neil got our attention and let us know what we did and if it was a mistake. It would have been very easy to take the extra tip money and let us leave, but instead he was an honest person and brought it to our attention. We were very thankful and still gave him some extra money for the tip. I just wanted to recognize him and say thank you again. Great first experience.

The only flaw in the night was in the cooking level of one steak. My wife and I both ordered the 8 oz filet medium rare. While mine was correct hers was clearly medium. How this happened on an order for the same table is beyond me.

A bit overhyped. I had the parmesan crusted flounder and my partner had the New York strip, and we both felt they were good but nothing special and definitely not worth the price. Best parts of the meal were the soup (spinach white bean sausage) and the peanut butter silk pie for dessert. Also had NA drinks which were tasty and good size for the price. Service was excellent, our waitress was attentive, friendly, and knew the menu well. We sat on the heated balcony and it was very warm, we even regretted wearing sweaters. Enjoyed the view of the stream.

I made reservations for our anniversary. We were in the heated, enclosed deck area. Unfortunately as soon as we walked through the doors onto the deck we were blasted with heat. To make matters worse we were seated directly under a massive radiant heater that was blowing HOT heat directly onto us and our table. We could not even focus on anything other than the fact that we were literally burning up. Another couple across from us agreed it was ridiculously hot in there. Our kids cheeks were bright red and they were complaining. I should note, it was 40 degrees outside that day. Thankfully after kindly pointing out twice how uncomfortable we were, our server got the manager over to us. He basically told us there was nothing he could do about it. He stated they were booked up with reservations. A short time later the manager returned and stated he could move us to a different table in the dining room, but we had to be out by 6:00 for the next reservation. It was 5:00. We moved out of desperation. We felt like such a burden. Our server’s demeanor changed like he was so annoyed.
Lo and behold our food was fantastic. They even brought out a little anniversary desert which was kind. However, after being moved everything seemed rush because we were on the time crunch to be out. We were never offered more drinks or the desert menu. Sadly being our anniversary and seeing other people’s deserts I would have liked to have taken something to go.
Thankfully our food was good and worth the money. Unfortunately the experience was not great. They did make the attempt to fix the situation but they made it very clear it was a nuisance to them. To be honest I think anyone that works there should try to sit in the original spot we were placed. I cannot imagine we were the first people nor will we be the last to have this complaint.

I was just there for the first time and it didn't disappoint! We were seated on your covered terrace where the heaters kept it nice and cozy warm. (Even a little too warm at times. But better too warm than too cold!) It had soft lighting and some decor to make it homey. Our server (who I don't remember her name) was very sweet and attentive. We got the grilled artichokes to start and they were really good. I got the petite filet and it was cooked perfectly! I would highly recommend everyone to dine at Palmers. And while it's a fancier restaurant, I noticed that many people were dressed very casually so it's a great combination of class and comfortable. Looking forward to going again!

I went here on Valentine’s Day because I heard that the food was good. And the steak my girlfriend and I had was pretty good. But the waitress we had was rude. She was an older lady. She had asked us “are you guys warm enough” I had said I am warm enough and I’m looking over at my girlfriend to ask if she feels okay or if she needs the temperature up. And before I could say anything to her, the waitress had interrupted me and said “I wasn’t talking you” my girlfriend also didn’t appreciate her response.
And as my girlfriend was ordering her food she was being very impatient. I did not appreciate the service I had. My experience could have been a lot better especially on Valentines Day. Unfortunately, I will not be back

I had the Bone in Filet. All bone and grizzel, maybe 3 bites of good meat with a basic baked potato, not many options unless you want to pay even more.
Limited menu choices like New Years eve....why???? Had reservations way in advance and still got stuck eating in the bar. They are not shy about the prices....I expect EXCELLENT food and service.
Then they have the gall to automatically add on a 20 gratuity! AND a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. limited parking.
My advice, go somewhere else where they appreciate your business!

I love this place and the food is excellent but the management of the flow of customers on busy nights has started to make me look at other options. I had a reservation for 2 and was on time. 45 minutes later I was seated. There were tables for 3-4 open; other customers without reservations but with parties of 3-4 were seated right away, while I waited. It was frustrating.

I thought our reservations were in the dinning room.
I was told that there were no other tables available. The manager was completely rude about it. His words were We have an open table but it will be occupied at 545 p.m. I really don't think we can have you out of there in time.
Our reservations were at 430pm.
Second, the waiter caring for the table behind us kept bumping into my husbands chair. No sorry no excuse me nothing. We counted 6 times bumped.
In regards to our food. My husband steak was so rare we needed a napkin to soak up the blood. Mine ribeye looked like a shirt steak it was so thin I laughed out when I received it. Also it was cooked well done. I wanted RARE. I was not offered a new steak.
What I also noticed was when the people in bar were waiting for a table or getting ready to leave these people were using the already made up tables for there use. I saw a woman put her hat and gloves on top of a clean plate and napkin that was going to be used for the next reservation. THAT IS GROSS. I told the manager as I was walking out. He dismissed me.
So anyone sitting at a bar table, be warned.
As a person that comes from the hospitality industry, we were not treated well at all.

My wife took me to the Palmer’s Steakhouse in Hartland for a nice birthday dinner. Didn’t work out so well.
Had a 4:30 reservation but arrived early around 4:10. Despite the restaurant being basically empty with staff standing around doing nothing they wouldn't seat us at table; made us sit at the bar for a half hour.
We got seated at a high-top table in the bar area, as opposed to a table in the dining room which we had reserved. Was not a good experience.
Was much to crowded and noisy in the bar area to try and enjoy a nice (and expensive) meal. Got bumped several times by a waiter trying to make his way past our table to a table behind us.
Meals were poor. Salad lettuce was very limp, of poor quality. I was very hungry so I ate mine. My wife picked at hers a bit, but didn't like it and pushed it away. She had also asked for crumpled blue cheese, which arrived more like grated parmesan, almost like a powder as opposed to crumpled bits. Disappointing.
The steaks arrived, my porterhouse and her ribeye, along with a baked potato for each of us. I had ordered my steak medium-well, and my wife had ordered hers medium rare. The steaks arrived opposite, as mine was bloody and still very red on the inside. Hers was thoroughly cooked, moreso than she would have liked. Either the waiter wrote down our order wrong, or the kitchen got the steaks mixed up. I ate a couple bites off the edge of my steak that were more thoroughly cooked, and then left the rest; too bloody for my taste. My wife picked at hers a bit, but then also stopped. Disappointed.
Waiter checked on us, noting that we weren't eating much. I showed him my blood red steak that was supposed to be medium well. He pulled out a small flashlight from his pocked to illuminate my steak and see for himself. He was apologetic and offered to take the steak back to the kitchen to cook it further, or even to have a new steak made for me. I declined, as I was frustrated enough to begin with, and didn't want to make our experience last even longer. I also have a fear of what kitchen staff might do to a meal when a customer sends it back so I really didn't want to risk it.
My porterhouse was decently sized, and moderately thick, however my wife’s ribeye was paper thin.
The steaks were to come with mushrooms on them. I got four. They were not full mushrooms, just the caps. One cap was about the size of a nickel, the other three the size of a dime. LOL
I decided to take my steak home and cook it further the next day. I did eat my potato as I was still hungry; My wife picked at her potato a bit but didn't eat it. She also didn't like the sour cream and horse radish sauces that were provided. We asked our waiter to box our take-home.
The bar was very crowded by this time, and very loud, more traffic constantly walking past our table from the front door / host station to the dining room. The restrooms were also near the front of the establishment, so diners needed to make their way past the bar crowd and past our table to get to them. Not a good experience, especially when you're spending so much on a meal.
Before we left, waiter was kind enough to bring a (complimentary) piece of red-velvet cake, a cup of ice-cream, and a brownie with a small sparkler stuck in it. It was a birthday gift for me, as well as a bit of an apology for the poor meal we received. He lit the sparkler which burned for about 10 seconds before going out. It drew the attention of the bar customers who all turned to look; really didn't need that. We ate the dessert, it was good and we were both still hungry.

We arrived prior to our reservation and ordered drinks at the bar. We were hoping to get a app to hold us over, but our bartender said they don't provide apps at the bar until after 9. It was within a hour to go and we expressed how hungry we were but she didn't seem to make a exception. I figure it would've been a nice gesture to let us order one since we were in line to spend a lot of money there. That gesture would've really made the customer service experience stand out.

We went to the Palmer steakhouse twice. First time, we waited 1 hour with (!) reservation but the actual food and service was great. So we went a second time. This time, we got seated quite quickly but unfortunately, the dinner itself was a disappointment.
- we received one steak much earlier; when the second steak was served the first one was almost eaten already. The plan was to eat together!
- the second steak then was bloody/raw in the middle instead of medium.
- to top it off, we got surprised by the fact that a refill was quite costly. Ended up paying almost $30 for Diet Coke for two people. Normally, if a restaurant wants to charge for each drink you at least get a can or bottle but here they charged it for the fountain drink.
The pricing just didn’t fit the service we received and especially that one person was annoyed while eating alone and then the second person ate while the first one watched was quite bad. Asked for rectification twice, nothing they could do about it apparently.

Took my team here for an end of year supper. We reserved a table on the enclosed patio (winter) and were very comfortable. The food was excellent as we're the drinks and service. While it's not an inexpensive experience, we all walked away very satisfied with the food quality and atmosphere. Recommend getting a reservation since they're very busy.

I was here for a Thanksgiving celebration event. I gave the food 3 stars because we had a hors d' oeuvres table and the food sat a bit and had cooled and even still they were tasty. Our group had a few concerns about how sweet their cocktails were, but my old fashioneds were excellent.
Our servers name was Sandy and she was the best, I'll go back just to have her to hang out with. She's awesome. Classic "MILWAUKEE" waitress.
The restaurant itself is awesome inside and the staff was great.

Just went back, food was amazing, staff were great and we had an amazing time celebrating my mom's birthday!
We really enjoyed our food here and service was great! Drinks were also very tasty. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. You get a lot of food for the price. This was our first time here and we will be back! We got the twice baked potato as a side and an 8oz filet mignon and a 16oz ribeye with gorgonzola

The food at Palmer's was excellent, as was the service of the impeccable waitstaff. However, the night began tense as there was confusion regarding our reservation. I originally reserved a table on line, for four in the bar area. Two more people wanted to join us, so I called Palmers and spoke with someone about that. Was told I had to pay a deposit of $5 per person, and she sent me a link to my phone, which I used to pay the deposit. She said she'd have to cancel the original reservation and make a new one at a different time. Apparently they did not cancel the original reservation as when we got there, there were two reservations under my name. The two younger women at the host stand were super gracious about it, explained that it was not my fault and were respectful to me. Which was the exact opposite of the male at the host station. He proceeded to tell me in GREAT DETAIL how I was wrong-that I made two reservations, and now they had a wasted table. He was a complete jerk. It created a bad vibe for what was supposed to be a celebration. Even though the food was great, there are plenty of other steak houses I'd rather give my money to. Won't be back.

Everything but the steak was above par. I had the 60-day aged ribeye, and it was tough and unseasoned. Which is strange for that cut of meat. But as I said, everything thing else was amazing. Calamari done perfectly to melt in your mouth. Onion strings and cheese cubes were great also. The green beans would have been the star of the night if we hadn't had the mushrooms. Talk about heaven. I could have eaten 2 pounds of those and been more than satisfied. But I had dessert, and the carrot cake was a fat guys dream.

My wife and I tried Palmers Steakhouse twice and both times had a bad experience.
First experience: My steak lacked seasoning and wasn't very tender. My wifes steak was overcooked. I paid for the special which was over $100 just for my meal and if I'm paying that price I expect great food.
Second experience: I tried the chicken alfredo and my wife had their filet mignon and my alfredo tasted like a frozen dinner. My wifes mignon was underseasoned. I see this place is very popular, I don't understand why as the prices are expensive and the food isn't great.
The atmosphere is good. The staff is attentive and polite. However, I feel there are better options for dining in the area.

Palmer’s Steakhouse in Hartland is an excellent choice for great steak and seafood options. I went with the 16 oz. Ribeye and my friend had the Scallops; neither dish disappointed. Service and drinks were also excellent. Observing other tables showed that the servers here are very good at what they do, and they can be entertaining as well. Hopefully your smart phone has a light because the house lights are turned down for ambiance to the point of not being able to read the menu. They pack them in here too as there is not much wiggle room between the tables. Nevertheless… highly recommended.

We have eaten here about a dozen times since we moved to Lake Country. The service has always been top notch. Friendly servers and host/ hostesses. The food is very good and has never disappointed us. Our favorite place to sit is the outside “deck area” overlooking the stream. Prices are typical for a nice steakhouse. We will see you again soon.

This was our first time here. We had a great time and it will be added to our special occasion restaurant list. Food was excellent. The steaks were flavorful and incredibly tender. We each had a scallop added on the side. It was perfectly cooked. I ate mine before I could take a picture. Lol. The sides were all great. The wine was also very good. I didn't try any this trip but the bourbon selection was excellent.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. I think her name was Utah? She was great! Our bartender was also great.
We sat outside right next to the river. Very scenic and the rushing water was a great soundtrack for our dinner.

We were planning on celebrating my fiancé's birthday here but didn't. We made a reservation arrived early for our reservation and was sat right away. We then proceeded to wait almost 20 minutes and no one had introduced themselves as our waitress, but yet there were 5 members of wait staff sitting around and talking. The server assistant was kind enough to bring us water and butter. No one else had approached our table at all. We won't be returning as this doesn't bode well.

Palmers is our go-to steakhouse because the food, service, and atmosphere are phenomenal! We dined there last night, for our anniversary, and strayed away from our normal filet order - I had the half chicken and my husband had Alaskan crab. Both were fantastic! I also recommend the brussel sprouts and risotto sides.
Their two indoor dining areas have differing atmospheres, which I like! The back dining area is dim and intimate. The “sunroom” is bright and airy, overlooking the deck area.
We’ve never sat outside - but it looks so cute out on their deck! Next palmers trip we plan to bring our kids and sit outside, since it seems a bit more “casual” in this area.

My wife and I had dinner here and it was fantastic. We ordered the short ribs on grits as an appetizer and the flavors of grits and short rib was a fantastic combination. I ordered the filet mignon and it was probably the best steak I've ever had. We also shared an order of brussel sprouts which I would also highly recommend. My reason for four stars instead of five is that the building was very noisy and it made it difficult to hear but that could just as well just be me getting old. The other issue we had was it took a while to get our water refilled. With those two exceptions I would highly recommend Palmer's for a flavorful dining experience.

Palmers has been around forever. Old world Wisconsin restaurant. We sit at the bar and order off the bar menu. Their version of cheese curds are small blocks of cheese lightly grilled. So delicious! Also, another must have is their grilled artichoke hearts. Top those off with a steak sandwich, onion soup and/or Palmer's salad you will be wholly sated and satisfied.

People tell me I shouldn't order fish at a steak house. Well, I wanted grilled salmon with lemon caper sauce. I had such a dish while in Chicago recently, and it was spectacular. Not so much at Palmers. The portion was generous, but the fish was drowning in the sauce. It's not impressive for presentation or taste. I noticed several past customers have taken photos of the news and magazine clippings, noting how great this restaurant is.
Those clippings mentioned the impressive affordable prices back in the early and mid 2000's. I am happy to pay luxury prices for incredible food, but if I'm paying those prices and my own cooking is more impressive, I'll make it at home instead.
