This is by far one of the best places in Madison to get a burrito. Their food is similar to Chipotle's, but it's cheaper, while somehow being of higher quality; they hand-press each tortilla fresh for your item, and the quality of their rice is notably higher. I highly recommend checking this place out! Staff is incredibly friendly, obviously puts care into ever item they make, and the restaurant has been clean every time I've come.

It is worth adding to my review that their rice uses Cilantro! I know not everyone likes Cilantro, but I love it!

My favorite thing about this place is that they mix your burrito before wrapping it, but when I ordered online for pickup they did not. Overall still good food, just disappointing that the mixing is only an in person thing apparently. The chips and queso are the best though!

The staff was super friendly. I had a great experience in the restaurant.

The burrito like melted like liquid as was completely inedible. I did not like how it tasted. It was like it literally just kind of fell apart and had no texture whatsoever. I tried to eat it with a spoon after it literally melted into a liquid and then just threw out half of it cause I didn’t like it at all.

It was weird because I’ve genuinely had a great experience in the past. The last burrito I got there was really good so I don’t know what happened, but it was just flavorless and basically a liquid.

First scale, I picked up the burrito as soon as it was cooked walked across the street and ate it, and it was like completely soggy. I don’t know what happened.

Pancheros is like chipotle except they have tortillas that are actually good, portion sizes that are not ludicrously small for the price, and free hot sauce for you to take to your table. I will admit that the now closed west Towne mall one left much to be desired. But this pancheros does not engage in any such tomfoolery. Engage in burrito creation with confidence.

We were in town overnight looking for a quick and easy option for food. Pancheros was close by our hotel and we could order via app. Easy peasy. The concept and food are similar to Chipotle, but we would rather give our business to a local enterprise. Burrito and burrito bowl were both great and the food was fresh. By the number of people who were picking up for takeout, it looks like this place is gaining a following. Good for them!!!

This was the worst place I have ever eaten at. The cheese tasted funky, no queso, no napkins and didn’t have medium salsa. The place was so dirty, especially where they prepared the food. No napkins and the pop area was gross. The kids working were nice but didn’t have a clue what they were doing. I completely regret coming here and wished I had eaten somewhere else.

I have been going to this pancheros since I was in elementary school and I love it here! The food has always been good and the workers are always so nice! But recently their cheese hasn’t been tasting right. I get quesadillas frequently and their cheese sometimes smells rotten and tastes funky. I hope something improves because I love going here and hate having to toss out a quesadilla if the cheese smells and tastes funny.

The food is amazing, I've gone here multiple times within a week. And recently I've went here to order my usual, which was a Burito. But later, when I opened up the wrapping to eat, I noticed the Burito was MUCH smaller in thickness than usual. Usually, I could take a bite, and the burito would be filled with ingredients to the point where it'd start falling out. However, this burito clearly did not meet the same criteria. I'm genuinely disappointed that this burito was barely filled and have lost much trust in this place, I no longer have any interest in going back again. Just ONE bite was enough to showcase how little they filled it.

This is the best Pancheros in Madison. My wife and I stop by for a quick bite a few times a month, and the quality is always high, the food is always fresh, and the employees are always friendly. I can’t say enough good things about the staff!

12/16/23 update: I was just compelled to leave a review when I realized I already had! My wife and I have switched to ordering online for convenience of late, and we were impressed at the consistency of the high quality. We are very busy, and order relatively often, and this staff is just simply great at their jobs.

I stopped in on Monday, October 30th, 2023. The gentleman behind the counter took my order and when he was going to wrap my burrito up, he asked me if I wanted the large Pico cup in addition. I don't go in real often, but when I do I ordered the same thing, which includes a large cup of Pico. I asked him if he remembered that I always get that, and he said yes. He was so pleasant and professional. Don't know your name, but kudos to you. You showed that your customers matter to you. You should be rewarded.

Love this place every time I go. Whenever friends from elsewhere ask if there's a Chipotle nearby, I proudly say, "No, but there's Pancheros!" :D

Everything is always fresh, and when I get a burrito, my favorite part is watching the tortilla get pressed and cooked right in front of me.

Service is always friendly and fast. Everything is cooked perfectly, and the salsas are on-point.

My only desire would be that the portions of chips were larger. :) They're great, and they're the only blue corn nearby.

TORTILLAS TORTILLAS TORTILLAS! They are fresh pressed & made to order and this alone is enough to wipe out the competition! But the Queso w/or w/o their Blue 🌽 chips is 100% real cheese, Monterey Jack I believe with a scarce amt of finely chopped up onions and red and green chilies (you don't notice them). Get this on your burrito for sure, but better yet but yourself an extra tortilla or two and dip pieces of it into the Queso and you'll be on my level and be one hally camper, I guarantee it!!

My favorite place in all of Madison for quick food. This is also the best of the three (now two) Pancheros in Madison.

Great experience from beginning to end. I spoke to Emelda regarding a company picnic for 70 ppl, she made sure our order was correct and walked me through the ordering process. When I arrived to pick the order up everything was ready and the staff all helped out getting it loaded into my car. Can you say full service!!!! Tried this for the first time today. Order was messed up and they forgot half the food. This is the Pancheros closest to my house, so it's the one we've been to the most over the years. Before the pandemic, I used to go in person quite often for takeout, but it's still a solid delivery option, especially via the Pancheros app.

Burritos are tasty, many ingredients are fresh each time, especially of course the tortilla (it's kind of the Pancheros' selling point). Not a ton to say. Noteworthy for delivery purposes: the orders always seem to be correct, made quickly, and delivered promptly, which is a major plus.

Stopped by on a Tuesday at 7:45pm to pick up an order for Uber Eats delivery (which had already been ordered 20min earlier by a customer), and they were closed. The sign on the door says they're open until 10pm during the week. Saw several other cars come and walk up to the locked door while I waited on hold for Uber to cancel the order after verifying they weren't answering their phone. Not very professional! At least put a sign on the door, or have a voicemail when people call. Was going to get a burrito for myself, but discovered a good alternative close by.

The folks were slammed here tonight. Very happy and caring staff. Never once got upset. A lot of to go orders.

Ok, so I LOVE poncheros. Like to the point where if I've already eaten I still stop when I see one because we don't have any near me. Food was ok this time, but it was the staff that was not great at all. One had no idea what I was saying and put 3 of the wrong items on my burrito while the other 2 just watched him mess it up. I just saw their staff do the following while serving food and I waited in line:
1)one guy kept touching his forehead with the gloves on and kept serving the food
2)another guy just brought "cleaned washed" utensils for them to serve the burritos with and he was not wearing any gloves
3) the one who grabbed one of the utensils to serve the food, and I guess it was still wet so she wiped it off on her pants and used it to serve the food.

First off, let me mention that I've been to the other establishment in Madison and to say the most, it was disgusting and needs new staff and management.
