This is a place we discovered as we were going to another pub, but there was so many people that there was a much longer time to get a table never wanna wait more than 30 minutes for a table. So on our way out of the area, we noticed Papa‘s and went in and were fortunate to be seated immediately. Apparently, we got there at the right time because within a very short time, the place was packed and for good reason. The staff are all very friendly. We had the chick bites for a starter and they were delicious also had their specialty burger and all day egg sandwich which you can add a burger patty to. We both agreed that these may be some of the best sandwiches that we’ve had at any pub. Also, our server was extremely efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. I was also impressed by the young man who was a food runner and how hospitable he was, and I predicted to my wife Mary, that this young man will probably be president of a hotel restaurant company in the future. also, the bartender made a very good margarita and poured a good bourbon in the rocks.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. Finding quality vegan options in the area can be tough, but this place had multiple delicious choices—each one better than the last!

Our waitress, Taylor, was incredibly helpful and well-informed. She took the time to go over the menu with us and made some great recommendations.

I debated giving this place a review because I feel like we got them on a bad night. We were a party of four and we waited a long time for service even though they were not busy. It took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive and everything, everything was cold. Not one of us got hot food. They also did not have sauce for one of our sandwiches. We asked our server if the food was just sitting back there, and she said no. She did offer to re-make the order, but it was late, we were hungry, and they did not have all the components of the order we had. I will say that even cold, the food was good which really made me sad. I bet it's awesome when it's hot!

My husband & I went to Lake Geneva this past weekend to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. I was looking for Vegan restaurants before we went & this restaurant came up showing they had Vegan options. I saw that it was right across from Como Lake which also was a plus to check it out! Update May 25, 2024. Food was good, but arrived cold (lukewarm).. Everyone's was. The waitress said she didn't know how because the order window is narrow...well, then then someone had it set aside for a long time! The family next to us arrived like 25 minutes after us but got their food at the same time! So either ours was sitting longer than theirs, or they waited to cook ours till the same time as theirs. Since they were busy, I'm pretty sure it was the former. Nice evening and outdoor atmosphere though. The waitress gave us a couple tokens for a couple beers next time, but for just over $100 and everyone's food was lukewarm, (not ice cold), it was little consolation. Had to knock off a star since last time.

My partner and I are both vegan and Papa’s Blue Spruce has the best and some of the only vegan options around. These options aren’t just fries and salad either, they are delicious, complex, and well-thought out and would be a hit with anyone! The falafel and the funguy mushrooms are my go-to’s. The people are so kind, especially the owner, Joan! To top it off, the atmosphere gives you everything you want from a Wisconsin bar and is just steps away from beautiful Lake Como.

We stopped in based on all the recommendations we read on a Facebook page that discusses all things local to the area. This restaurant was mentioned over and over as having the best burger around, and it did not disappoint. It was delicious. The homemade fries and chips were fantastic, too. We can't wait to go back! Just a note - there are only a couple of low tables. Most every table and chair is a high bar table/stool. Luckily, the low table was available and my elderly mom was comfortable.

Our young lady server who was also the bartender was really wonderful and this place has potential as a great pub and grub. But my fish sandwich was a little dry and tasteless and my brothers primetime beef sandwich was fatty. My sister-in-law had a pork tenderloin sandwich that looked really good. Papa’s is one of our all time fave local spots. We always know we will have amazing food with great service in a laid back environment. Whenever we have a craving for a burger (which tends to happen a lot;) we head to Papa’s for the best burger and fries and fried mushrooms we have ever had. The combination of the cheddar cheese and fresh dill on the burger, topped with a buttered and grilled bun, is pure magic. Even my kids order the cheese burger fully loaded. Loved staying and eating at Papa's! The food was wonderful and the 1 bedroom suite with kitchen was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was heavenly. Came in the middle of the day after their POS system went down. Even though they decided to close early they welcomed us and sat us immediately.
